Hot take-

Do any of ya’ll who are wolves or foxes or cats get uncomfortable when people want to find rare therians with rare theriotypes… like I love rare kintypes as much as the next guy but all therians/otherkin are a rarity and I think we should focus more on what we have in common and less about who’s the coolest. Idk. A lot of my packmates have rare kintypes and that’s cool and all but I don’t think that makes them cooler than me or my fox packmates. 🌀

Nostalgic as it is, old theriantok and the therian community back then SUCKED

I love how therianthropy isn’t just considered a past life and non-physical thing now like it was a few years ago, back when we were all so determined to make ourselves seem more palatable to non-alterhumans.

Honestly, some of us were kinda ableist with how much we dissed the clinical lycanthropes, whereas now we welcome anyone into the community regardless of mental health or what ‘caused’ their therianthropy to come about. I love how many unique factors there are that can contribute to therianthropy which go beyond the whole ‘past life’ thing. No hate to the past life therians tho cuz like…I literally am one lol.

Personally, I’m so glad we’re more welcoming of all therians and their origins. If I had been going through my current experiences back in the days of 2023 theriantok, I would’ve been shunned from the community without a doubt. It’s so good that we’re finally waking up to ourselves and realizing that we don’t have to be the perfect representation of an alterhuman that other people wish we were.

This was kind of a random rant but yeah I just love how much we've improved, being one of the most welcoming and unique communities out there!
