Imagine:

A final boss in a Sonic Adventure style game that has you switching between Sonic and Shadow on the fly and a mashup of Open Your Heart and Live and Learn are playing. When you’re playing as Sonic (Super Sonic let’s be real) Open Your Heart gets louder and when you’re playing as Shadow Live and Learn gets louder while Open Your Heart takes a backseat. In phase 2, the mashup fades out and the theme of the game takes over. Obviously it’d be made so the peak of the mashup plays as you transition to phase 2, working as an emotional climax to that part of the fight. Just...ugggghhhh...IMAGINE.

5 Final Boss Themes featuring Choir and Orchestra

I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t love a good final boss theme. My favourites tend to be ones with large orchestras - the sound of a full orchestra adds drama to a final confrontation. When a choir is added on top of that, that drama is intensified. Orchestral and choral forces combined with a desperate need to conquer the big bad really leaves a player with a feeling that they are apart of something truly epic.
