Based on that Japanese myth that your face is the face of the person you loved most in your previous life❤️

I know that myth isn’t actually true and it’s not necessarily canon but I do think it’s a cool concept and it kinda worked out for all the previous avatars so I thought it would be cute. Of course non of them look EXACTLY the same but similar for sure!

So I designed Delun to look similar to Asami (who Korra loved most in her life). Youko looks similar to Li Ma. Li Ma was Delun’s mother and the person he loved most in his life. Because he spent his entire life in captivity he never had a relationship with someone he loved more than her. I also thought it would be interesting to take a different route because most of the past avatars loved their romantic partner most, but familial motherly love is just as beautiful❤️

Meet Kallik!🌊🌊

At the beginning of our story, most of Kallik’s life is a mystery. When we meet Kallik, he is working for an underground organization within the Northern Water Tribe called the NIF (Northern Liberation Front). This organization works to fight the corruption within the Northern Water Tribe leaders and give back to those that are struggling under this government. Although this organization seems perfect from an outsiders perspective, it is far from it. Lately, Kallik has been feeling like Northern Water Tribe chief is not the only corrupt leader in the north…

Meet Temujin!🪨🪨

Temujin (goes by Temu) is a sandbender from the Si Wong desert. He is in a large family with 7 siblings. Like many sandbender children, Temujin is sent away to a residential school for most of the year. The Earth Democratic Republic requires all children of sandbender tribes to attend these schools. The EDR ensured many poor sandbender families that this is the only was they will ever gain employment within the EDR. Their goal is to assimilate them and eventually gain monopoly over the Si Wong desert(which sandbender tribes have pushed back on for many years). The Dai Li also heavily police the border of the Si Wong desert. Within the schools that they are sent to, sandbender children are treated poorly and punished for talking about anything from their tribes. For years they have begun pushing back visiting time with families. This had everyone getting a little uncomfortable. Temujin had enough when they announced the children would not be returning home the coming summer. He made a difficult decision to leave the school and his family…

Notes: One more member of team avatar to go! I’m really enjoying writing this but winter term is about to begin and I’m gonna be moving into a new place so we’ll have to see how that goes! I will continue to do this either way but I may have to slow down sadly.
