Alright, so betta breeding update!!!!

Sorry I didn't post it for a while, I've been busy with conditioning them and getting them set up! As of posting this, they have been actually spawning for about 2 hours. Video below of them breeding in the spawning tub. The pairing is a male black galaxy koi HM x female red galaxy koi HM

So they finished spawning a while ago, Chimera is back in her tank and Kaos is being a good dad to his eggs! Just by looking there are a TON of eggs so I'm excited to see how many I hatch out!

so many queer people are so anti men and insistent that masculinity is some sort of toxic evil thing that they end up being the most transphobic people you’ll ever meet and they have no idea. So many queer people don’t see trans men as men, also. Like, a whole lot. Then at the same time they have no fucking idea how bioessentalist they are and how inherently bigoted that is. Your assumption that being a man makes someone inherently more inclined towards violence or evil or being less of a good person then a woman is transphobic and bigoted. Any belief that people carry inherent negative characteristics because of factors they can not control like their sex or gender identity should not belong in the queer community. Trans men aren’t women-lite or man-lite or a special brand of non binary or a special type of man or a unique type of woman we are MEN in the same exact way those people you are referring to when you say “I hate men” are. We aren’t “female socialized” we aren’t “men but objectively different” we aren’t “afabs” we are capital M men and you all refuse to deal with that.

The fact that the Marquis has been completely absent from all adaptations of IWTV is honestly so ridiculous to me. He’s such a fundamental part of Lestat’s characterization, especially if you view IWTV as a standalone story. He gives us one of the only real glimpses into Lestat’s past: his age, his family, and some sense of why he is the way he is.

But more than that, the Marquis serves as a crucial link between the Lestat we meet in IWTV and the one we see in TVL. Every time someone claims the Lestat in TVL feels like a completely different person, I point to the Marquis. We saw Lestat caring for his abusive, bitter father in IWTV, a man who openly admits to mistreating his son. That alone shows us Lestat immense capability for love and forgiveness (even if he’s having a full breakdown at the idea of killing his father later on, which Louis can’t seem to comprehend). That side of him has always been there, it didn’t come out of nowhere in TVL.

Idk, I just have always thought the Marquis is a great character device and one of the best bits from IWTV. I mean, Louis kills Lestat's father, everytime I remember that I have to pause for a moment. A real shame we never got to see that.
