COMMITMENT - is a very strong word! Once the festive season begins many people’s COMMITMENT to their health and fitness goals diminish (i have been there too at 1 time). Basically it gets cold so you reduce the number of visits to gym or put it off and tell yourself its ok i will try extra hard tomorrow and you repeat this cycle, the food start to slip and before you know it's New years day and your 1, 2, 3 Stone heavier, and not trained for 4 weeks and you've consumed 3 x tubs of Quality Street? Sound familiar? So as its the 5th day of the festive month i wanted to reach out to some of you to get Festive but NOT Fat. From many discussions with people recently they have some sort of festive bash going on at some point. So with this in mind there are a few tactics to deploy. 1. Write a commitment list this can be 3 - 10 commitments long that are realistic and what you can stick too i.e i commit to training 3 days per week or i commitment to hitting 10,000 steps a day until Xmas day. 2. Get up earlier and get your training done before work this stops you heading straight home after work and creating excuses. 3. Limit Alcohol consumption at social events. 4. Aim to maintain current nutritional goals whether you use Macro's, kcals, Intermittent fasting etc. 5. Keep a food diary is more important than ever, keep a true/ honest record as you will only be cheating yourself. More tips will come of the next few weeks even if i make a difference for a few of you, I will be happy as i know in the New Year you will be grateful Peace out Nick #festive #fitnotfat #teambtc #festivetime #fitat40 #personaltraininggym #xmastips #personaltraining #healthyfood #healthyhabits #healthjourney #healthylifestyle #motivation #loughborough #health #energy #fitness #confidence (at Loughborough) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClyFMG4IZ_G/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
