blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): I mean. I feel like we all know this one LOL but it’s Miko <3 she is SO fascinating and such a joy to see on screen! Monica Ray does a fantastic job with voicing her and capturing just unhinged and hyperactive she is! And it’s also just awesome to see a character that is so much like me! I talk like her a lot when I’m excited or when I’m around people I’m comfortable with ^^ I’m still so eternally happy that she canonically has ADHD and the writers actually baked that into her as a character and really acknowledged the struggles she has of feeling like a failure, the people pressuring her to do better, and being an outcast for just being her. The scene in Going, Going, Gauntlet where she belatedly tells Five that she’s a total disaster after trying the whole episode to not lose her job (which is something she is SO incredibly passionate about) really gets to me :’) you can feel how much she cares about wanting to be better and I really feel for her because I’ve went through so much of the same things <3
(Also teeny tiny nitpick but I kinda wish that at the end of the episode Five said that it’s okay if she messes up sometimes and that he trusts her regardless instead of saying “You can focus when it counts. So make it count.” it’s not a huge gripe and him giving her his gauntlet already communicated that but that line just felt off to me personally bc if someone said that to me I would’ve felt more pressured? I think it’s just a me thing though since I think it was able to give Miko the confidence boost she needed)
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): Oh man that’s a tough one!!! I’d say Horn and Ally though because they’re so cute!!! Horn especially doesn’t get enough love omg look at this guy!!!! Their mechanical meows and purrs are SO cute omggg

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): Alpha!!!!!! I’m still forever heartbroken that we didn’t get to see more of Five and Alpha interacting because the show didn’t get renewed so early on .·°՞(ᗒ□ᗕ)՞°·. THEYRE GENUINELY SO SWEET???? Gosh I love Adventures in Pet Training so so much <3 Five slowly growing to respect and care for Alpha was so beautifully written and I wanted to see more of their bond!!! It’s such a fun dynamic character-wise but also action-wise with how the fight scenes could be Five and Alpha playing a more tank role while Miko is the one teleporting around and doing the most damage. It would be so much fun to explore!!!
OH and also!!!!! Ridley’s modded dragon kitty!!!! I decided to fan name it Fang to match with Horn and I just love them :3 Idk I just love their design and the idea of Ridley bonding with Horn and Fang is really really cute to me 🥺 also they would be UNSTOPPABLE.
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): EMMA DEVERAUX. OH MY GOSH. She’s always been my absolute fav out of all of the background characters but then I started to develop her backstory and study every part of her in my glitch techs au and omg. I’m so insane abt her. She is SO FASCINATING!!!!! I love that she’s almost like this passionately deranged scientist who is incredibly devoted to her work who no one else truly understands <3 AND!!! She isn’t afraid to do what must be done in order to succeed in her goals!!! Her throwing Five and Miko into an imaginary threatening situation in order to understand their pets (and for Five to become emotionally attached to one, enough to want his own) was, uh, morally dubious!!! But that’s why she’s SO FASCINATING!!!! Hinobi is already in itself very professionally questionable but im so interested in how she really pushes that bar to a new extreme. I also love how she parallels Miko with them both being more emotionally influenced (“I like you kid. you think with you thumper not your thinker.”) and almost weaponizes Five’s emotions against him. She knows how to get the people around her to do what she wants!!! And when she is able to understand and get along with so many different glitches around her, idk it just seems like she’s a lot more influential than the show has us think…
Anyways. I’m so obsessed with her. I need 16837397493782.36919 more episodes with her ASAP!!!! <333
Also I’ve decided she’s married to Barbara bc it would be cute <333 I love girlbosses!!!!!!
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): I genuinely have no idea???? I don’t think there’s any consensus within the fandom about a particularly controversial character to like in this show???
One that’s on the more unpopular side is Barbara and that’s such a shame!!! I love the idea of her playing Phil like a pawn in her schemes and being able to show him up for all the years that he looked down on her. Also. Her voice actor is SO good. Love how she switches from dorky and cheerful to genuinely terrifying in one second (especially those scenes in the unreleased Bolypius episode omg???? Love her annoyed expressions sm) she’s so underappreciated and I think she’s a really fun side villain and has so much potential in how she could be used in the show
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): if you’ve read my fics it’s all just Miko LMAO but other than putting her through the worst things possible, I also enjoy doing that to Five :3 I think we deserve more of Five facing his complicated feelings about his dad and childhood!!!! Every time we see him suffer we get so much more insight into him as a character!!! His childhood friend lashing out at him for not being there for him was heartbreaking!!!! Do you think he didn’t contact him because he was busy dealing with the emotional effects of losing his dad and having to support his family at such a young age??? Do you think he did everything he could to avoid the things that would actively make him think about him and his dad and how far away they were from each other??? ALSO WHERE IS HIS MOM?????? IS HE A CHILD OF DIVORCE?????? (Yes bc it’s interesting and bc I said so <3 ) IM GOING BALLISTIC!!!!!!!!!!! 💥💥💥💥💥
SO YEAH. I want Five to blow up a million times more. ALSO FIVE LOSING MIKO SPECIFICALLY IS LIKE CATNIP FOR ME. I EAT THAT STUFF UP!!!!!!! When I heard the unreleased Bolypius episode was about Miko being captured and Five stressing out abt finding her my eyes glowed RED I TELL U. I’m still upset we don’t have more material about that episode because I know it would break me apart and it would be my favorite episode out of the entire series. GRGRHHEVRHHRG I NEED THAT FULL ANIMATIC SO BAD o(-( OR ANYTHING MORE ABT IT TBH. CRYING SHAKING SOBBING!!!!!!!!!
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): okay I know I’m gonna get fried like an egg for this one but. Mitch. I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE LIKE HIM BUT I JUST CANT STAND HIM SORRY :’) I think that if we had more screentime to fully flesh him out as a character over time and see him get on more equal ground with Miko and Five it would be a lot easier to like him but with what we have in canon he’s just. Grating. And it’s frustrating bc when we get nuance in Mitch he is fascinating!!! I loved seeing him as a young kid streaming on Twitch!!! I loved seeing his complex relationship with his siblings!!!!! I want more of that!!!!!! It’s just that every other time I see him I want to strangle him (especially when he’s belittling Five and intensifying his anxiety AND isolating Miko by playing into her insecurities GRGGEGEHHGGEEERR THAT GIRL ALREADY HAS ENOUGH ISSUES LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!!!!)
I know he’s written to be the driving conflict for Five and Miko for the beginning of the show and then later be more part of the team but I just wish the driving conflict in the show was more about internal issues (Five’s complicated feelings about his dad, Miko’s struggle with failure, Mitch’s need to be the best at things in order to feel valuable, etc.) rather than external ones and using him as an easy plot device. Maybe that’s just a me thing but I find internal conflicts a lot more interesting!! Also, I feel like the rest of the glitch techs let him off really easy???? Idk if it’s just because of his status but every time he bullies the other team members he’s never truly reprimanded or put in his place and truly make him consider changing his behavior. Maybe the writers were just going for a reaaally slow burn for his character development but idk :’) it just gets on my nerves. I wish Zahra could tell him off since I get the vibe that they joined around the same time and are at around the same level of experience
