ღ summary: Fiyero Tigelaar’s arrival at Shiz reveals a thrillifying secret between you and the prince.
ღ pairing: Fiyero Tigelaar x fem!reader
ღ warning: Scandalicious Fiyero, reader with long-ish hair
"I may be from another country, but my lady you are out of this world."
The day was beautiful. Perfect. Sun warm enough to comfort you without a sweat, the air smooth and sweet. You're leaning against a hidden alcove on the lower floors of Shiz, eyes buried into a stimulating history textbook when you hear the drag of heavy boots against gravel.
When you look up, you're greeted with the astonishing sight of Prince Fiyero Tigelaar standing right in front of you, hands behind his back—picture perfect royalty.
You know him. Heard of him. How can you not, when practically the entire university is buzzing with news of Winkie Country's very own beloved prince arriving at Shiz. These days you can't even walk two steps without seeing students either whispering his name or holding copies of Shiz Gazettes plastered with his grinning face on it.
You're.. neutral about him. Maybe the fact that you yourself came from Winkie Country too had worn down the intrigue that surrounded his presence. Though you are curious about why he transferred. After all, it’s a public secret that the reason he moved to Shiz in the middle of the school year was because he got kicked out of his last academy. Only one of the long list of institutions. Even if you are interested, it’s not enough to warrant you pushing through the obvious crowd he has gathered around himself. You don’t exactly fancy getting stampeded between Shiz students in a charm flaring competition.
But here he is, a perfectly crafted smile showing up without a call. It's like he has a radar or something.
You’d be a terrible liar to say that he doesn’t look absolutely fantastical. There is something about his air of arrogance—more rebellious than regal—that compels you to stare. He stands with the posture of a man who knows he can bring the entirety of Oz under his feet.
"Do you use that line on everything that has eyes and lips?" You raise your eyebrow at his words, unimpressed. But maybe impressed by the gall this man has.
Fiyero doesn't seem to be at all deterred by your dry response. He only uses that momentum to step forward dramatically, hands still behind his back.
"Just the ones with incomparable beauty." You'd kill to know if he rehearsed the timing of that head lift when he finished the sentence. Fiyero isn't done with his.. courting, and he continues to pursue even as you shut your book to slowly back away.
"Might I interest you in a walk through the gardens?"
By this time you're fully holding back a smile at his attempts, tucking the textbook in front of you with both arms as you look at him apologetically.
"I'm sorry, Prince Tigelaar but I have better things to do with my time."
He seems aghast at your reaction and lags behind when you start stepping away. Once noticing the distance the prince speeds forward to walk by your side. "And what could possibly be better than being alone with me?" He wonders. Genuinely concerned.
Your back is turned towards him and you don't bother hiding the Cheshire grin on your face as you pause to wonder out loud, "For one.. Doctor Dillamonds's riveting history class, which for some of us responsible students-"
Just as you started to jabber you felt him pull your arm from behind, whipping your body around and before you can so much so react to the sudden movement, his soft lips were slotted between yours.
For a moment you're stunned to move and your eyes widen at the contact. But then your face melts into a content smile.
You grin into his lips and drape your arms over his broad shoulders, and he familiarly responds by sliding his palms up your waist. It’s breathless, heavy, and hot to the point of desperation. You want to bury yourself under his skin and Fiyero notes that when your nails dig at his hair, practically burning a trace on his scalp. The thrill has you grinning into his lips, and he replicates the gesture, breath puffing over your face before he playfully nips your bottom lip.
The moment is over faster than you'd like it to be.
"I missed your chatty mouth." Fiyero talks as if you are his lifeline, almost sighing in relief at your touch. You see the impatience in his cadence, the way he moves almost erratically. It's why he couldn't keep up the charade any longer. Not one second later he goes back in to peck your lips which brings a light laugh out of you.
You pull your face away for a moment to look at him through your lashes, grinning cheekily with your hands in his hair. "Just for being chatty?"
Fiyero doesn't bother to retort but instead boldly moves one hand downwards to pinch your bottom. The motion makes you break out into laughter, your body pushing even closer to his.
He takes advantage of this, said hand traveling down to hook under your thigh and hitch your leg up. Fiyero leans your body backwards, using his other hand to hold your waist. There’s a lazy smile on his face and when he leans close, you’re pleasantly surprised to feel him nuzzle the tip of his nose against yours. The tenderness is a far cry from the way he was just about to devour you a second ago.
Once content, he ushers you closer to the wall of the alcove, away from the prying eyes of nosey Shiz students.
There's a quiet moment between the two of you simply taking the image of each other in.
Behind you the bright fuchsia bougainvillea flowers sway gently to the rhythm of the wind, carrying a beautifully sweet scent your way. A tender gust of air caresses Fiyero's cheeks, tugging strands of his golden hair with it. The windchimes and soft ripples of water from the lake sing a melody that reflect in his eyes, and he is the absolute picture of desire. There is a certain hunger in them that can never be satiated, and the way they follow your every breath makes you wonder just how depraved he had been without you.
Being apart from each other for 5 months had to be one of the most depressing parts of your relationship. Fiyero had practically begged you on his knees to stay with him at Winkie Country when you got your Shiz acceptance letter. But all these years growing up in the country almost felt like it was caging your potential. You wanted to explore new heights, see what Oz had to offer and the Shiz curriculum felt like it was calling out your name. Fiyero was stuck at Winkie Academy, both because of princely obligations and urges from his parents. But when even that got scratched out of the list, there was no other choice but to venture outside of Winkie Country. Lucky for him, really.
A part of you believes that he purposely acted up to get kicked out of Winkie Academy just so he could move to be together with you. But if you were to say that out loud you'd feel bad for all the indirect victims of his crusades. You just hope Fiyero will at least behave himself now that you're there with him.
"I couldn't see you through the crowd." The words come out fainter than you intend, the yearning seeping through your tone. As much as you joke around, you feel his absence embedded deep inside your heart. It's like every part of you aches when he is not around, and your voice is the first to betray you.
Fiyero's blue eyes soften at the sight of you fidgeting with the collar of his jacket by his neck. It’s almost pitiful the way you pout and mope, staring at anything but him. But he hasn’t exactly been any better than you.
"I'm sorry, lovebug." He tucks a strand behind your ear, stooping his head down to catch your gaze. His eyes chase after yours, not stopping until you are just a breathe away from him. They’re burning with something that never seems to dim when he looks at you. Finally, he settles to slide his hand down to cup your right cheek. "I've found you now, haven't I?"
He's like a balm to soothe your hurt.
You take the hand on your face to kiss his palm, and you're completely satisfied to lay your head on his chest while he adjusts to cradle your body into his.
Your hands fidget with the lapels of his lapis jacket, fingers going over the intricate gold embroidery before snaking into the opening and prying the indigo wrap shirt underneath open. Absent-mindedly, they trace the edge of the fabric until it meets his skin. "Nice trip to Shiz?" You ask.
Whether by pure instinct or sensation, the Winkie prince turns his head up to the left as phantom goosebumps follow where the pads of your fingers trek. He has to hold himself back and it feels like every inch of him is trembling from the force.
He's missed this. Your touch, your voice, your skin, the gentleness in which you hold him, and the way you admire him for who he is. The (short) months at Winkie Academy felt utterly dull without you by his side. Perhaps it was fate that he was transferred—to put it so kindly—from that institution to Shiz, where he could spend all of his days sweet talking you until you melt under him.
Fiyero holds your body impossibly close, swaying the two of you in a gentle rhythm.
"Dreadful. Entirely dreadful without your hands in my hair and my head on your lap." He throws his head back in exaggeration, his eyes squeezing shut as if the thought of being without you is the bane of his existence.
A smirk pulls at the corner of your lip, though you cannot lie and say that it isn’t sweet. "Such princely words coming from his highness of the Winkie Country."
Fiyero grins almost evilly before diving face first into the crook of your neck, shaking his head to tickle at your skin. You want to flinch back, but his strong grip cages you within his proximity. All you can do is to fist his chest in surrender—though your giggle-riddled pleas fall dear to his ears.
Once he is satisfied with hearing those lovely sounds out of you he moves with gentleness, nosing and kissing your neck all the way up your jaw. With a practiced ease he playfully bites the skin in a rhythm that follows your slowing breaths, and you simply close your eyes to sigh in bliss.
"Come over to mine tonight? I'll give you anything you ask for." Your fingers are already running through his hair, the motion springing the perfectly curled strand at the front. Fiyero looks up to blow the piece away from his forehead before ducking down and smiling.
"Naughty." The hand that lays vacantly on your spine travels down the curve of your back, dipping lower than Shiz-appropriate and you don't bother to push it away. At the same time, his right hand goes to squish your cheeks together, making your lips pucker out so he could kiss them.
He's mid pushing all his sense of affection to you when you start to wonder out loud, "How'd you know I was here?"
The alcove by the smaller lake behind the campus isn't exactly a shortcut that many students use. Mostly because it'd take longer to get to class from there, so a vast majority opt to go through the front atrium. This is the exact reason why you seek this hidden comfort since you began studying at Shiz. It's a nice chance to get some quiet before the bustling of class. That's why you were surprised that your boyfriend found his way to you.
You're not wrong when you think that Fiyero has some sort of radar for you. He's like a magnet and you are the metal that sways all his senses.
Fiyero skips the normal way of answering and simply takes your hand to twirl your body halfway, and you fall right onto his plush chest. He leans in very closely to the side of your face before ceremoniously pulling out his timetable in front of you and purring into your ear,
"Seems that, my darling, we have Doctor Dillamond's riveting history class together."
He joined both his hands to hug your waist from behind when you take the timetable, letting your own hand rest on top of his. To your absolute delight, Fiyero has almost the exact same classes as you do. More time for you to have him all to yourself.
Just as you are going through his schedule, your eyes catch the starting time of previously mentioned history class. You realize that you only have a very quick 5 minutes to get there. The blue-eyed prince must’ve sensed your sudden alertness because without voicing anything he pulls himself away from your body to grab your bag with ease, slinging the thing over his shoulder like it was an accessory.
Fiyero doesn’t bother to turn back, only thrusting his arm out for you to take while he attempts to brainstorm how to navigate the castle-like campus.
You allow him to pull your body wherever he is going, already comfortably relying on him again. This may be one of your favorite things about having him with you. Something about Fiyero is just so.. masculine. His instinct to take care of you often outweighs common sense but you admire that trait of his; it’s how you know he won’t ever leave you behind. To you, those actions were worth more than any words.
You’re humming a lovely tune as you walk beside him, the leisure a contrast to the seriousness Fiyero possesses as he tries to get to your destinations. “Feldspar must’ve grown more handsome than the last time I saw him.”
The thought comes to you after you start recalling all the things you’ve missed about your prince. One of them being his beloved blue steed. Fiyero used to take you around everywhere on Feldspar, and the animal had taken quite a liking to you. You’re about 98% sure that Fiyero rode on horseback all the way to Shiz, so you cannot wait to be reunited with him again.
At your declaration Fiyero pauses his march, eyebrows raised with a deadpan stare as he looks back at you.
“I wouldn’t say “more” handsome. Or handsome at all.” The last part is muttered quietly, but either you have incredible hearing, or your boyfriend isn’t bothered to hide his pettiness away from you.
“Jealous? Of your horse?”
The sight of you grinning brightly beside a disgruntled Fiyero is quite a sight for the passing Shiz students. All with open mouthed stares and crushed spirits. Putting aside the fact that the prince was holding your hand, it’s a change to see anything but a dazzling, pearly white smile on his face. They whisper and gawk at the unexpected reveal, and somewhere in the crowd you glimpse Pfanne and Shenshen causing a storm among themselves. You have no doubt that this will be making it all the way to Galinda Upland. None of that bothers you, because now the sun seems to shine a little brighter and everything feels so much lighter when Fiyero is here with you.
“Well I’d prefer it if my girlfriend only had eyes for me.” He almost scoffs the sentence out but doesn’t forget to squeeze your hand in a gesture of assurance.
Of course, he’s saying this wholly in jest. Because what is Fiyero Tigelaar without his flare for dramatics.
And you, being the loving partner are obligated to follow each and every one of his whims.
“Fine, fine, anything for my handsome prince.” You have to bite your lip to keep the utter joy from bursting out of your body. How you’ve missed this.
You hug his arm to yourself, squeezing it close to your right cheek and most definitely not passing on the chance to feel his bicep through the fabric of his jacket.
“Love of my life, keeper of my heart.” You continue to coo and serenade at him and Fiyero just about inflates at your words. He loves this. Loves you. Loves being your man.
Pairing: Fiyero Tigelaar x Reader
Summary: Ever since Fiyero Tigelaar started at Shiz University, he found himself fascinated by you – the one student who didn't care about him. When he notices you starting to struggle with something, he'll do anything to make sure you're okay.
Warnings: Mentions of fainting, falling over, academic stress/burn out
Word Count: 2.2k
A/N: I've seen Wicked (the show) three times now with the amazing Australian cast that's currently touring and I fell totally head over heels with Fiyero, and then yesterday I saw the movie and fell even more in love with Fiyero and so I had to write for him. I do intend to write more for him, especially if other people want to read more! He's so fun to write for and definitely a challenge compared to some other characters I've written for in the past. I hope you all enjoy! 💗
It’s not difficult to sense the presence of Fiyero Tigelaar behind you as you leave Doctor Dillamond’s classroom, shoving your books into the bag over your shoulder. With the way the students heading into the classroom are staring at someone behind you, it’s quite obvious who they’re staring at. Everyone at Shiz University wants Fiyero Tigelaar.
Everyone, that is, except you.
“Classes are over, you know?” Fiyero’s voice comes from behind you as you round the corner, heading down the staircase leading to the courtyard. “You don’t have to rush off.”
Irritatingly, the fact that you can’t particularly care less about wanting Fiyero Tigelaar makes himwant you. He usually isn’t the type. If someone doesn’t like him – something he’s actually yet to experience – he would just let it slide. Why waste his energy? But ever since he’d started at Shiz and met you, he’d found himself unable to leave you alone.
“I know,” you glance back at him over your shoulder. “But some of us actually want to study and spend their time here learning, Tigelaar.”
Fiyero hurries his steps a little so he’s walking alongside you. “Did you miss the part where I said it was my job to corrupt my fellow students when I started here? It’s never too late, darling.” He flashes a grin your way.
You can’t help but roll your eyes at him, right at the same time you almost miss a step and stumble a little. Fiyero is quick, catching your elbow to help steady you. You don’t look at him as you steady yourself, meaning you miss the look of worry in his eyes.
“Are you all right?”
You clear your throat and shake off his grip. “Consider me corrupted by your presence.”
With that, you make a beeline away from him and you’re glad to notice that he doesn’t attempt to follow you. You highly doubt that he’s going to follow you all the way to the library. Fiyero and the library have never exactly gone hand in hand.
~~
The next time Fiyero bothers you, you’re sat on one of the benches by the gardens. There’s a book in your hands and he can see you staring intently at it as he saunters over to you. It’s almost like he’s approaching a wild bird or something, he thinks. If he moves too quickly, he’ll frighten you and scare you away. It’s the last thing Fiyero wants to do.
He’s a few steps away from you when you look up from your book and meet his eyes. His face breaks into a smile as he moves the last few steps and takes the spot beside you on the bench. You turn to look at him, your eyebrows raised.
“Now, don’t say I’m interrupting your study,” he begins. “That book is most definitely not in the curriculum. And yes, I did actually take the time to look the curriculum up after I saw you reading here the other day, if you can believe it.”
For a few moments, you only stare at him. Fiyero, for the first time probably ever, finds himself actually a little uncomfortable at your unwavering gaze. It surprises him. He’s never the type of person to feel uncomfortable. He’s confident in almost every situation.
You let out a sigh. “It may not be in the curriculum, but you’ve interrupted me nevertheless, Tigelaar.”
“Apologies,” he says, with a small smirk. “Am I corrupting you even more with my presence?”
“Something like that.” You close your book and sit it on the small space of bench beside you. You had actually just been reading the same page over and over for the last twenty minutes and trying to convince yourself to stop overthinking things.
You had so much studying to do, so much to learn and so many assignments to do and so little time to do it all. It was probably a little counterproductive to be sitting outside, reading a book and doing none of those things, but if you didn’t try and have a break from them all, you were pretty sure you were going to burn yourself out, which was the last thing you needed. It would have helped if you’d actually been able to relax and enjoy your book, though.
“Is it any good? Your book. Not that I’d read it, of course,” Fiyero grins.
You try your best to conceal your amusement. “I’d offer to lend it to you but, as you said, you wouldn’t actually read it so… I’ll keep it safe with me. I doubt the Winkie Prince knows how to properly take care of books if he can’t read them.”
Fiyero gasps jokingly. “I’ll have you know I can read, I just choose not to. I prefer to fill my brain with much more useless things. That way, I don’t have to think. It’s a peaceful way to live, my darling.”
You shake your head, this time unable to keep a smile off of your face. Fiyero likes the sight of it. It strangely makes his heart beat a little faster. He can’t actually remember the last time he saw you smiling… not that he’s been keeping track.
“How about you join me?” He offers. “No more studying for the rest of the day and no more thinking? I’m positive I could find something we could do to fill the time.”
The reminder of studying, however, brings you back to reality after you small moment of joking with Fiyero. You reach down and grab your book before standing up and turning to face Fiyero, who is looking at you with slight concern in his eyes at your sudden movement.
“I can’t,” you say simply. “I’ve been reading all morning and there is a lot I have to do. I’ll see you around, Tigelaar.”
He watches you with furrowed eyebrows as you walk away from him, clutching your book to your chest and heading in the direction of the library. Fiyero shakes his head and lets out a small laugh. He really thought today would be the day he’d win you over.
~~
A week goes by without Fiyero even getting to utter a word to you. He sees you, though, fairly often around the school. In the courtyard, in the library (where he definitely didn’t go specifically looking for you), in history class and in the dining hall. But every time he’s thought to approach you, you’ve disappeared before he could even make his move. It’s on the seventh day when he notices that something is different about you.
You’re coming out of the library, carrying several books and what looks like a stack of papers in your hands when you trip. Fiyero isn’t quick enough to cross the courtyard and get to you in time to stop your fall. He does, however, take off at a run to be by your side as you start collecting all of the scattered pieces of paper and books that had fallen out of your grasp.
“It’s all right, Tigelaar. You don’t have to help me,” you mutter, trying to shove books into your already overfilled bag. “It’s a Friday night. I’m sure you’ve got other places to be.”
Fiyero, truthfully, does have other places to be. He’s been invited to the Ozdust Ballroom by nine separate people today. But how can he leave you to just clean all this up by yourself? He can see just by the look on your face that you’re utterly exhausted.
“I do,” he says honestly. “But I’ll help you with this first.”
He’s surprised when you suddenly stop putting things in your bag and when he looks up, he finds you staring at him again. It makes him uncomfortable in the same way he felt last week when you’d looked at him in a similar way.
“Okay,” you sigh.
Your lack of energy in fighting him is the second thing to make Fiyero realise something is wrong.
After the two of you finish picking up all of the things you’d dropped, the both of you stand. Fiyero opens his mouth to say something when he notices you start to sway. He’s quicker this time, moving to catch you before you fall. His arm wraps around your waist to keep you steady, while his other hand takes the book bag off your shoulder and moves it straight onto his. He’s surprised by how heavy it is.
“Woah, darling, what’s going on?” Fiyero looks down at you as you blink and push yourself away from him. “Hey, be careful, okay? I think you were just about to faint.”
You shake your head. “I just stood up too fast, that’s all.” You know the words are a lie, and you can tell that Fiyero knows that as well. First, he’d seen you trip coming out of the library, then he’d caught you when you’d almost fainted… you can’t hide it from him. That much becomes crystal clear immediately.
“Let’s get you somewhere you can sit down, okay?” Fiyero begins. “May I?” He gestures to you, asking silently if he can wrap an arm around you to support you incase you fall over again.
You nod and allow him to guide you just around the corner into the small seating area off to the side of the library. It’s dark, the lanterns not being lit yet despite the fact that the sun had gone down over twenty minutes ago.
“I swear I’m not usually this clumsy,” you say sheepishly. “That’s twice you’ve stopped me from falling in the last two weeks… I suppose I should say thank you, Fiyero.”
Fiyero sits you down gently on the bench and sits your book bag down on the ground. He crouches down in front of you and reaches up to take your hands in his. He’s surprised when you don’t immediately pull away from him. “I don’t think you’ve ever called me by my first name before.”
“Oh,” you think on it for a second, trying to ignore the warm feeling of his hands and how comforting it is. “I guess I haven’t. Sorry, Tigelaar.”
“No, no,” Fiyero shakes his head. “Don’t go back to that. I like when you call me Fiyero.”
“Well, I suppose it is your name,” you offer a small smile.
“There’s that gorgeous smile,” Fiyero smiles back at you and squeezes your hands. “Now, are you gonna tell me why you almost just fainted on me and why you’re clumsier than you usually are, darling?”
You stay silent for a few moments and just when Fiyero begins to think that you might just brush him off and try to make a quick exit like you did last week, you start to speak.
“I haven’t really been sleeping well lately,” you admit quietly. “I’ve had so much work to do, I fell behind on my assignments and I took on some extra work from Doctor Dillamond and… despite my best efforts, I guess I let myself get a little burnt out.”
Fiyero looks at you with his eyes full of pity and you hate it.
“Anyway,” you clear your throat, “that’s not important. Why would you care?”
Your attempt to make light of the situation fails spectacularly, judging by the look that Fiyero gives you afterwards. You’ve never seen him look that unimpressed before.
“Of course I care,” he says, eyebrows furrowed.
“Why, though?” You can’t help but ask. “Why are you so fixated on me?”
Fiyero sighs and moves to sit beside you, letting go of your hands in the process. “If you’ll allow me to be honest with you for a moment,” he starts, “I suppose… you’re the only person at Shiz that doesn’t treat me like the perfect Winkie Prince that everyone thinks I am. You’re the only person that doesn’t think I’m perfect, and half the time you act like you can’t stand to be around me, and for some reason that only makes me want to be around you more.”
“Are you not the perfect Winkie Prince?” You ask.
Fiyero grins. “Oh, not in the slightest, darling. But let’s keep that between us. I’ll keep your secret if you keep mine. How does that sound?”
You don’t even try to hide the smile that comes to your face at his words. “You promise you won’t tell anyone about what happened today?”
“I promise,” he nods. “But only on one condition: you tell Doctor Dillamond you can’t complete the extra work you signed up for and you take a break to make sure you get plenty of rest before diving into your other assignments. I’m sure I can sweet talk some of the Professors if you need help.”
He smiles as you hit him with the same look as before, but for the first time, he doesn’t find himself feeling uncomfortable at the sight of it. Now, he finds it slightly amusing and incredibly endearing. He has always found you endearing, he supposes.
“Sweet talking my Professors will not be necessary,” you chuckle. “But okay. It’s a deal. And I’ll keep your secret too. You can continue to be the perfect Winkie Prince to everyone… except me.”
Fiyero laughs. “I’ll just be your Fiyero, then.”
“My Fiyero?” You repeat after him, eyebrows raised.
He ignores the way his heart beats faster at the sound of those words coming out of your mouth.
“Yes, your Fiyero,” he hums.
“Everyone will think that you finally corrupted me after all this time,” you joke, voice teasing. “I’ll just be like everyone else at Shiz. Part of the Fiyero Tigelaar fan club.”
Fiyero fixes you with a look. “Oh, darling. You could never be like everyone else.”

The library of Shiz University was always a sanctuary for you, high arches, endless shelves, the faint scent of parchment and ink, but lately it had become a place of torment. Because Fiyero had been coming around more often.
You’d never meant for it to happen. It wasn’t your fault that your eyes kept finding him, that your thoughts trailed back to him even when they shouldn’t. He belonged to Glinda, everyone knew that. They were golden, untouchable, and perfect, but that didn’t stop your gaze from flicking toward him in stolen moments. The way your heart fluttered when he laughed, head tipped back, sunlight catching in his hair like strands of spun gold.
He wasn’t even doing anything in particular. Just leaning lazily against a bookcase, listening as Glinda whispered something up at him, her hand brushing against his sleeve. But the easy grin on his lips was enough to scatter your focus into a thousand hopeless daydreams.
You were so lost in them that you didn’t see the pedestal until your hip bumped it.
Time fractured. The priceless crystal orb displayed there wobbled once, then tipped over the edge. Gasps tore through the silence as it plummeted toward the marble floor.
You didn’t think. You couldn’t.
Your hands flew up, and instinct, raw, unpracticed, and wild, burst out of you in a rush of heat. A word you hadn’t spoken aloud in years burned your throat. Power shimmered in the air, and the orb froze, suspended inches from shattering. Splintered cracks that had begun to spread reversed themselves, glowing faintly as they knitted back together until the orb was whole, perfect, untouched.
It floated upward, your magic guiding it, until it settled back onto its pedestal as if it had never moved.
Only then did the silence fall.
Every eye in the library was on you.
Whispers hadn’t started yet, shock had stolen their words, but you could feel them ready to spill. Glances darted between one another, wide and uncertain. Even Glinda’s mouth was parted in astonishment.
Fiyero's attention was settled on you.
Not laughing. Not distracted. His bright blue eyes were fixed on you, wide with something you couldn’t name.
Your chest seized. Horror flooded your veins. No one was supposed to know. No one. You’d kept it hidden, locked away. But now...
You turned and ran.
Through aisles, down halls, your shoes echoed sharply against stone. You didn’t stop until you were climbing one of the spiral staircases that led into the high towers of Shiz. By the time you burst through the heavy wooden door, your lungs burned, your heart pounded, and your hands still trembled with leftover magic.
The tower was empty. Cold stone walls rose high, one window spilling light across the floor. You pressed yourself against the wall, breath shaking.
What had you done?
The shame was unbearable. The whispers would spread faster than fire in dry grass. People already looked for reasons to sneer, to judge you. Now you’d handed them one on a silver platter.
Your eyes burned with unshed tears, but you blinked furiously, pressing your forehead to the wall. You just wanted to vanish.
The door creaked.
You froze.
“Hey,” came a voice, warm and careful.
Your stomach twisted violently. You knew that voice.
You turned slowly, dread and disbelief tangling in your chest. Fiyero stood in the doorway. The sunlight behind him framed him, his lean form and easy posture, except his expression wasn’t easy at all. It was unreadable, cautious. Intent.
“Fiyero,” you whispered, throat tight. “I-”
Words failed. Excuses, explanations, lies, all scattered.
“I didn’t mean...It was an accident, I wasn’t-”
He held up a hand, stepping further inside. The door closed with a soft thud behind him. His eyes never left yours.
“That was…” His voice was low, “Incredible.”
The word stunned you. “Incredible?” Your voice cracked, half-hysterical. “Everyone saw me! They’ll think I’m-”
“A freak?” he supplied gently, but he shook his head before you could nod. “No. Not me.”
Your arms wrapped around yourself, defensive. “They’re going to talk. They’re going to-”
“They always talk,” Fiyero cut in, tone easy but steady. “That’s all this place does, talk, gossip, pick people apart. You’ve seen it. But what you just did…” His lips quirked, almost in awe. “You saved a priceless relic without even thinking about it using magic. Do you realize how impressive that was?”
Your throat worked. “Impressive? It was reckless. Stupid. If Madame Morrible hears-”
“I don’t care about Morrible,” Fiyero said, voice firmer now. He stepped closer, and your pulse leapt painfully. His gaze softened. “I care about the fact that you just did something no one else here could. You weren’t even trying to show off. And still…” He tilted his head, smile faint but real. “I don’t think I’ll ever forget the look on your face when you caught that orb.”
Heat flushed through you, equal parts shame and something sharper, more dangerous. You shook your head, looking away. “You’re not scared of me?”
“Scared?” he repeated, and then laughed, a quiet, warm sound that melted some of the ice in your chest. “Not even a little. Intrigued?” His smile curved, sly and soft at once. “Definitely.”
Your breath hitched. His closeness was overwhelming now. You could smell him, sunlight, spice, a trace of cologne. You could feel the weight of his gaze like it pressed against your skin.
“There’s more to you than anyone realizes, isn’t there?” he asked softly, as if he already knew the answer.
You hugged yourself tighter, torn between retreat and the dizzy thrill of being seen by him. The man you’d stolen glances at for months, hopelessly, silently.
“I…I should go,” you whispered, though your feet refused to move.
Fiyero tilted his head, studying you, and something flickered in his eyes, something dangerously close to temptation. “You can,” he said, voice low. “Or…” He stepped closer still, until the space between you was only a breath. “You can stay. With me. Tell me more about yourself, the magic, and what makes you...well, you.”
The tower shrank around you, filled only with his presence, his voice, his impossible warmth.
And a treacherous thought bloomed in your mind. The kind of thought that said maybe he truly wanted to know the real you.
The next time you slipped into the library, hoping to drown your mortification in pages and silence, Fiyero was already there. Not with Glinda. Not surrounded by the usual orbit of adoring classmates. Just…there. And when his gaze caught yours, he smiled, quick and easy, like you shared a secret.
You flushed and ducked your head, pretending to be busy with your notes. But a few minutes later, the chair across from you scraped against the floor.
“Mind if I sit?”
You almost dropped your quill. “There are...there are plenty of other tables.”
“Yeah,” he said, grinning, “but none of them have you at them.”
Your heart tripped over itself. He leaned forward, arms folded on the table, studying you like you were more interesting than any book in the room. His eyes flicked to your hands, where your quill trembled slightly, before returning to your face.
“I’ve been thinking,” he said softly, “about what you did the other day.”
You stiffened. “Fiyero-”
“Don’t panic,” he interrupted gently. “I’m not about to shout it across the room. I just…I want to understand.” He tilted his head. “How does it work? The magic. Is it like breathing? Or…something else?”
You stared at him, dumbstruck. No one had ever asked you that, not like this. Not without suspicion, or fear. The weight of his sincerity pinned you in place.
“I...” You swallowed, eyes darting to the shelves as though the spines might save you. “I just want to be normal. Am I normal yet?”
“Normal is boring,” he said, easy as ever.
And then he started showing up everywhere.
At lunch, when you sat at the edge of the dining hall with your books, he would slide onto the bench beside you, stealing half your bread roll like it was the most natural thing in the world. He asked questions, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes ridiculous, but always with that same spark of curiosity in his eyes.
“So do you have to say the words? Or could you just, like, snap your fingers?”
“Do you feel it, here?” He pressed his palm over his chest. “Or here?” He tapped his temple with a grin.
You deflected, dodged, or sometimes answered with vague truths, but he never pushed too far. He seemed content just to be near you, to chip away at the walls you’d built.
And people noticed.
Glinda noticed.
The first time you caught her staring, she was across the hall, her smile brittle as glass as she watched Fiyero laughing at something you’d said. The second time, she marched right up to your library table and leaned down between you.
“Fiyero,” she said sweetly, though her eyes were sharp as knives, “aren’t you supposed to walk me to class?”
He blinked, surprised. “Is that today?”
Her smile widened, sugar over steel. “Yes. Today. Right now.”
He glanced at you, as though asking permission, and something twisted in your chest. You forced a polite smile, lowering your gaze to your book. “Don’t let me keep you.”
Glinda slid her hand possessively into his arm, tugging him away with a satisfied air. But as they left, Fiyero looked back over his shoulder at you. Just for a moment.
And it was enough to leave you rattled, quill trembling in your hand, heart racing in a way you couldn’t quite control.
Because it wasn’t coincidence anymore. He was choosing this.
Choosing you.
And it didn’t take long for Glinda’s patience to crack.
At first, she’d cling tighter to Fiyero’s arm in public, her laugh pitched a little louder whenever you were in earshot. But it wasn’t enough. Because no matter how bright her smile, Fiyero’s eyes wandered to you.
The whispers started soon after.
Why’s Fiyero sitting with her again?
Did you see him carry her books?
Glinda must be furious.
And she was.
You found out just how much when she cornered you one afternoon. The corridor outside the lecture hall was quiet, the faint scent of chalk and dust hanging in the air. You were juggling your notes, mind already racing ahead, when Glinda stepped directly into your path.
Her smile was gone.
“I know what you’re doing,” she said, voice low but sharp.
Your stomach dropped. “I-I don’t know what you mean.”
“Oh, please.” Her eyes narrowed, deep brown and cold. “You think I haven’t noticed? The way he looks at you? The way you…linger?” She leaned closer, her perfume surrounding you. “He’s mine. Whatever little tricks you’re pulling...stop.”
Heat flared in your cheeks. “I’m not...Glinda, I swear, I’m not trying to-”
“I don't believe you.” She straightened, smoothing invisible wrinkles from her gown. “Fiyero is mine.”
Her heels clicked sharply as she walked away, leaving you pressed against the wall, pulse racing with a mix of fear, shame, and indignation.
But later that evening, Fiyero found you.
Not in the dining hall, not in the library where others could see, but in the garden, near the farthest fountain where moonlight glittered silver across the water.
He leaned against the stone edge, casual as ever, but his smile softened when he saw you. “She cornered you, didn’t she?”
Your heart stuttered. “How did you...”
“I know Glinda,” he said simply. “And I know you.” His gaze held yours, serious for once. “Don’t let her get to you.”
You wrapped your arms around yourself. “She thinks I’m trying to steal you.”
He chuckled, but there was no mockery in it, only warmth. “You couldn’t steal me. I’d have to choose to be stolen.” His grin tilted, teasing. “And maybe I like where I’ve been drifting.”
Your breath caught, but before you could respond, he stepped closer. “Show me.”
Your brow furrowed. “Show you what?”
“The magic.” His voice was low, urgent. “I don’t care if it’s dangerous. I just…I need to see it again. Not by accident, but because you chose to.”
The garden was hushed, the only sounds the trickle of water and the wild thud of your heart. His eyes were fixed on you, alight with something between wonder and hunger.
And in that moment, you knew, you could refuse, step back, protect yourself. Or you could give in, let him see the part of you no one else had ever asked to see.
Your fingers trembled as you lifted your hand. The air thickened, humming, and the water in the fountain rippled, rising in elegant arcs that caught the moonlight, scattering it in shimmering ribbons. You shaped it, bent it, until droplets spun into the air like silver stars.
Fiyero’s breath caught. “Beautiful.”
And you realized, with a dangerous thrill, that he wasn’t just looking at the magic.
He was looking at you.
After that night in the garden, something shifted.
Fiyero didn’t stop at one demonstration. He wanted more.
It started innocently enough, finding you in the library again, leaning across the table, whispering, “So…could you do that water trick with wine instead?” He’d grin, boyish and teasing, but his eyes held a deeper facination.
Soon, he was finding excuses to pull you into hidden corners: an abandoned classroom, the shadowed edge of the gardens, even once into the stables, where the horses stamped nervously as you lit the air with sparks of green flame.
Every time, he was the same, breathless, grinning, like a child watching fireworks for the first time. Except when he looked at you, it wasn’t just awe for the magic. It was awe for you.
“Do you feel it before it happens?” he’d ask, leaning close, his shoulder brushing yours. “Like a tingle? Or does it just…explode?”
“Could you make the vines move if you wanted? Wrap around someone’s wrist?”
“What about fire? Could you call it, hold it, without burning yourself?”
You tried to deflect, tried to tell him some things weren’t safe, but his curiosity was relentless. And the way he looked at you made it harder and harder to say no.
One evening, tucked away in the empty music hall, he watched as you coaxed a candle flame to split into two, then three, then a dozen tiny lights dancing in the air. His eyes reflected their glow, wide and enchanted.
When you lowered your hands and the lights winked out, silence stretched.
Then, softly, he said, “Teach me.”
You blinked. “What?”
“Teach me,” he repeated, leaning forward, elbows braced on his knees. His voice was steady, but there was a tremor of excitement under it. “I don’t just want to watch anymore. I want to understand. I want to feel what you feel when you do that.”
Your heart lurched. “Fiyero…it’s not something you just…learn like swordplay or dance steps. It’s-”
“Complicated. Dangerous. I know.” His grin flickered, but his eyes didn’t waver. “But I can’t stop thinking about it. About you. About what it must be like to hold that kind of power in your hands.” He reached out, palm up, like an unspoken invitation. “Let me try. Just once...with you.”
The air between you seemed to crackle, charged not only with magic but with something riskier, heavier. You stared at his hand, then at his face, soft and carefree, looking at you with fierce, unshakable determination.
And you knew if you agreed, you’d be stepping across a line.
Not just with your magic. Not just with him.
But with Glinda, with the fragile order of everything at Shiz.
And still, your fingers twitched toward his.
You hesitated for a long heartbeat, staring at his outstretched hand. Every part of you screamed that this was dangerous, showing him, letting him try, but something in his eyes…it broke your defenses.
Slowly, you placed your hand in his.
His fingers curled gently around yours, warm, steady. He grinned eagerly, and you hated how the sight made your stomach tighten.
“Okay,” you murmured, leading him toward the single candle burning on the piano. “Start small. Flame is…fickle, but it listens if you focus.”
“Focus,” he repeated, though his grin told you concentration wasn’t exactly his strength.
You guided his hand closer to the flame, not enough to burn but enough that the heat licked at his skin. “Close your eyes,” you instructed softly. “Picture it not as fire, but as something that can be shaped, like clay. Breathe with it.”
To your surprise, he obeyed. His lashes brushed his cheeks, his breath evened, and you felt a faint hum stir in the air around him. Your magic twitched in response, like a thread tugged tight.
The flame shivered.
Fiyero’s brow furrowed, lips parting slightly. The flame stretched upward, then sputtered back into place. He opened one eye, sheepishly. “Did I-?”
“Almost,” you said gently, a smile tugging at your lips despite yourself. “Try again. Don’t force it. Invite it.”
The second attempt flared brighter. The flame swayed unnaturally, splitting just for a fraction of a second before snapping back into one. He laughed in astonishment, shaking his head. “That was me, wasn’t it?”
“That was you.”
By the third try, sweat glistened at his temple, but he didn’t give up. His hand trembled in yours, his whole body leaning into the effort. Then, suddenly, the flame split. Two thin tongues of fire wavered in the still air. Wobbly and clumsy, but real.
Fiyero’s gasp echoed in the quiet hall. “I did it.” His grin was radiant, breathless. “I actually...did you see that?”
You were already looking at him, not the flame. The glow flickered across his face, highlighting the sharp cut of his jaw, the excitement in his eyes. He turned to you, closer than you realized, and in that instant the room seemed to shrink, leaving only the two of you in the hush of candlelight.
Your hands were still joined, suspended between you. His thumb brushed against your knuckles absently, and your pulse skittered wildly.
The laughter in his eyes softened into something heavier. Something he couldn’t hide. His breath hitched.
“I can’t…” he whispered, leaning closer, the words catching against your skin like sparks. “I can’t pretend anymore.” His gaze flicked to your lips, then back to your eyes.
His forehead almost touched yours when he whispered, hoarse and trembling, “Can I…kiss you?”
The candle flame trembled, then split into two again, as if answering for you.
The words lingered in the air. His thumb brushed over your knuckles again, slow and reverent, as though waiting for you to flinch, to pull back.
But you didn’t. You couldn’t.
You gave the faintest nod, breath catching in your throat.
And then Fiyero leaned in.
The first kiss was tentative, his lips brushing yours gently, like he was afraid of breaking you, or of the line you were both so clearly crossing. It was warm, careful, impossibly sweet. His hand cupped your cheek, thumb tracing your skin tenderly.
When he pulled away, his breath was ragged, eyes wide and searching yours for regret. “Sweet Oz...,” he whispered.
Something in him snapped. The careful restraint dissolved. His mouth crashed back to yours, hungrier, more desperate.
The second kiss was nothing like the first. It stole the air from your lungs, stole the ground from beneath your feet. His hands slid to your waist, tugging you closer, pressing you against the cool stone wall of the music hall. You gasped against his lips, and he took the sound greedily, deepening the kiss until you thought you might shatter.
His body crowded yours, his warmth seeping through every layer of clothing. The wall was cold at your back, but he was fire at your front, his lips urgent and insistent. His fingers curled against your hip, possessive in a way that made your knees weaken.
You clutched at his shirt, holding on, losing yourself in the rush. All those stolen glances, all those daydreams, they were nothing compared to the reality of him, mouth hungry, breath uneven, every ounce of his attention locked on you.
When he finally tore his lips from yours, he rested his forehead against yours, panting, eyes closed.
“Stars,” he whispered hoarsely. “I want you.”
“Take me,” you whispered.
The candle flame sputtered and split again in the silence that followed, as though the magic itself echoed your desire.
The stone of the tower against your spine kept you grounded while Fiyero’s body burned into yours. He had no patience left for restraint; his kisses were urgent and greedy.
He tasted like sunlight, like danger. His hands were everywhere at once: one firm at the small of your back to keep you steady against the wall, the other slipping under your skirt to brush over your skin. When you made the smallest sound, a sharp little gasp as his fingers brushed your thigh, he slid his mouth over yours and swallowed the noise.
“Shh,” he breathed against your lips, voice shaky. He worked quickly, fingers deft despite the tremor of want. Buttons came loose beneath hurried hands, fabric was shoved aside with breathless impatience. You pressed both hands against his chest, feeling the rapid rise and fall beneath your palms. The tug of his jacket, the scrape of cloth, all of it slid away until skin met skin, warm with the heat building between you.
When he lifted you, it was impetuous. One leg hooked around his hip, the other braced against the wall as he positioned you higher, shifting you until you were angled against him and he could drive into you. The first thrust hit hard and hot and too deep; the wall behind you thundered in your back and your hand flew to the stony surface to keep yourself from crying out. He didn’t give you time to adjust. He rocked into you again, harder, and the world contracted to the friction and the press of his body.
He kissed you then like he couldn’t stand the space between you, short, frantic brushings to keep you quiet. Every time you tried to respond aloud, he crushed your mouth to his. His hips moved with increasing speed, each hard snap punctuated by the rasp of breath he smothered against your mouth.
“Do you hear them?” he murmured between kisses, words lost in the press of his forehead to yours. “Do hear how close they are?” His voice was a warning and a promise. You could hear students in the courtyard below, the distant murmur of footsteps, and the risk made everything hotter.
You clung to him, nails scoring the plane of his shoulders, the sweet sting adding to the electric ache pooling in your belly. He pounded into you at an angle, building a delicious, dangerous knot that made your breath hitch into staccato gasps. Each gasp he caught in his mouth and swallowed as if it were his prize.
He shifted a hand to your throat, not to choke but to anchor, thumb brushing the pulse there while his other hand mapped the curve of your hip. The domination of it sent a tremor through you: being held so completely, so seen. When his fingers found your clit, you cried out low, the sound immediately swallowed by his mouth. His grin against your lips told you he loved that, how your body answered him, how you made those tiny uncontrollable noises that he couldn't wait to hear when you two were alone.
By the time you rode the first wave of your orgasm, your body tightening around him, he didn’t loosen his grip. He kissed you through it, moaning into your mouth as you clenched around him like a vice.
He didn’t stop. He wanted you to cum a second time. He took you again harder, faster, with less thought for decency or consequence. The wall scraped your spine; your hair spilled over your shoulders and his fingers threaded through it, anchoring you so that each thrust would hit the exact place that made you arch your back.
Every time your lips parted, his were there, kissing you into silence.
His breaths became ragged, low curses ripped from him as he sank deeper. “Fuck,” he panted, voice rough. “Cum with me...” The need in him was a physical force; his fingertips rubbed tight circles over your clit, and your second orgasm stole your breath.
He spilled into you with a shuddering groan, one hand splaying against the wall, the other cupping your jaw as if to steady himself. When your breathing slowed, he didn’t pull away; instead, he bent his forehead to yours and kissed you slowly.
For a long moment, you simply stood there, wrapped around each other in the hush of the tower. The world outside kept moving, students laughed, a distant bell chimed, but inside the stone room, there was only the press of skin and the taste of him on your tongue. His hands were tender now, roaming with a softer fierceness as if memorizing every inch of you he’d finally been given.
“Sweet Oz,” he breathed into the cradle of your neck. “You’re mine.” He sounded almost afraid someone would take the words away if they were spoken too loudly. “Please say you'll be mine.”
You threaded your fingers through his hair and pulled him back down to your mouth, needing another kiss, another to know that this was real...that he was real. When you finally pulled apart for air, your breathing was slow and unsteady, “I'm yours, Fiyero.”

Fiyero's idea of helping you study is much more distracting than you thought ... [3.9k] movie!Fiyero x f!reader; fluff & smut [oral f! receiving, slight praise kink], established relationship
masterlist.
yes, this is a re-upload. I recently deleted most of my smuttier fanfics, as I don't really like writing graphic smut anymore. However, I read through this one again and thought that it struck a good balance between the fluffy and the smuttier parts :) Also, this is very much inspired by Johnathan Bailey practicing Dancing through life with his slutty little glasses on
You’d been pouring over your textbooks for so long, your vision was starting to blur. Your concentration was starting to ebb away as well, seeing as you’d had to read through the paragraph concerning the use of moonflowers in several antidotes through four times, before you’d actually worked through the information conveyed in the paragraph.
You sighed, reaching for your textbook and pen, because you needed to take more notes. Your hand was starting to ache from how much you’d already written today. But it was no good, exams were starting next week and you really needed to ace your alchemy exam.
However, just as you were about to uncap your pen, a hand grasped yours, stopping you mid-motion.
„Darling, you should really take a break-„
Fiyero hadn’t even finished his sentence, when you were already shaking your hand, interrupting him. „I can‘t!“ Your voice quivered, but you hardly noticed it. „I can’t Fiyero, exams start on Monday and I need to-„
„What you need to do“, Fiyero said, stepping closer to you, until he was right behind your desk chair and able to rest his head in the crook of your neck, „is to take a break.“
You could feel his warm breath on your skin, could feel the bridge of his reading glasses dig into the soft skin of your neck and had to suppress a shiver.
Fiyero with his reading glasses was something else, truly. He was already extremely good-looking to begin with, but something about his reading glasses seemed to add to his natural good looks, almost like they were giving him an edge.
Or maybe you’d just been studying too much, causing your brain to turn to mush, you tried to reason with yourself.
Whatever it was - Fiyero had quickly found out the effect he had on you when he was wearing his reading glasses and was now using it shamelessly to his advantage. Not that he really needed that - his incredibly good looks and natural charms were enough to sweep you off your feet.
„I’m just worried about you, love“, Fiyero now said, drawing you out of your thoughts. His arms were clasped around your stomach and now you were trapped in his embrace, not that you minded too much.
„You’ve been studying so much lately, I hardly ever get to see you.“
Though you couldn’t see the look on his face, you were pretty sure that he was pouting. The thought caused you to smile softly and, laying aside your pen, you reached for Fiyero’s hands, interlacing his fingers with yours.
„You do see me all the time, though“, you pointed out, squeezing his hands. „At classes and during meal times, in the library or when we’re studying here-“
Fiyero groaned. „Yes, but that’s just not the same. I want to spend some time with my girlfriend, love. And not just sitting next to each other, studying quietly-“
„Well, studying quietly is the usual thing to do“, you interrupted him.
He chuckled, his warm breath tickling your skin. You found yourself leaning back into him, enjoying his closeness. Now that you thought about it, he was right - though you saw each other all the time, you struggled to remember the last time you’d been together without the threat of upcoming exams hanging over you.
„I know how important these exams are to you-“
„They’re important for you as well“, you pointed out, which Fiyero pointedly ignored.
„But you need to take a break every now and then. Not just for indulging me, but for your own sake, darling. Elphie and Glinda are worried about you as well.“
You sighed, knowing that there was no point in arguing with him. Not just because Fiyero could be incredibly stubborn once he’d made up his mind about something, but also because, deep down, you knew that he was right. Lately, you’d been studying so much, it almost felt as if an ever-present headache, paired with blurry vision, and aching, cramping hands were your constant companions.
„You’re right … it’s just, these exams are so important, I can’t - I can’t fail them, you know?“
Fiyero sighed quietly, breaking the embrace, and stepping around your chair, kneeling down right in front of you and taking your hands in his. „I know, love. And though I know that you don’t like hearing me say it, but I’ve absolutely no doubt that you’re going to ace your exams.“
You rolled your eyes, smiling. By now, you knew Fiyero well enough to know that he wasn’t just humoring you with his words - he really did believe in you without a doubt.
However complicated Fiyero’s own relationship with education was - though knowing him as you did, and knowing the unattainable expectations his parents had always set for him, you could completely comprehend his disdain -, he knew how important a good diploma was for you. Really, you couldn’t have asked for a better, more understanding and supportive boyfriend, you thought, grinning down at him.
Fiyero caught your gaze, returning your smile, as he squeezed your hands. Though his smile was soft and loving, there was a hint of something else in his eyes, something darker, hungrier-
„How about I’ll help you study, love? And then, later we can take a break …“
„You really don’t have to-“
„I’ll ask you questions that might come up in your alchemy exam, and for every right answer, you’ll get a reward.“ His words were accompanied by a smirk that you knew only too well.
„But - how?“, you interrupted him, your mouth suddenly feeling quite dry. Something about the intensity in his gaze made your heart flutter, and something in his knowing, confident smirk told you that he knew exactly what he was doing to you when he was talking about rewards. „Fiyero, how would you know the questions that might come up in my alchemy exam, you’re not even taking the class-“
„Your flashcards are really quite informative, you know?“, he said, smirk widening, when he saw your cheeks flushing.
„You - you - my flashcards - you memorized them?“, you stuttered, breathless and at a complete loss for words.
Fiyero just nodded, looking quite pleased with himself. „Darling, I know how important these exams are for you.“
You shook your head, completely baffled. The fact that he’d actually taken the time to read through your alchemy flashcards, memorizing them, when he wasn’t even taking the subject himself, just to help you study, left you feeling dizzy and overwhelmed.
Sweet Oz, he really was the best.
„Fiyero, I - you-“
„I’m incredible, I know, thank you, darling“, he said, smirking. Not giving you the chance to tell him how much you loved him - or to say anything else, for the matter -, he squeezed your hands once more, before running his hands through his hair, leaning back.
„Now, I’m sure you’ll remember the mass of red clover you need to use in an antidote for poisons bending the free will-“
He’d barely finished asking the question when you were already rattling off the answer, able to visualize the flashcard, covered in your neat, cramped handwriting, in your head.
Fiyero nodded, grinning. „Quite right, which means that the correct ratio for red clover and amaranth is?“
For a moment, you could only stare at him in surprise. Had he actually taken the time to memorize the entire content of your flashcards, including all the extra footnotes and notes in the margins, you’d scribbled in a particularly small, cramped font, when you’d been using the cards for revision a few days ago?
Fiyero’s knowing, self-satisfied smirk answered your question, and you could only shake your head at him in awe.
„You’re the best“, you said in a weak, awe-struck voice.
Fiyero just smirked. „I know, but that still doesn’t answer my question, love.“
He leaned in closer towards you again, reaching for your hands, which were still resting on your thighs. This time, he didn’t thread your fingers together, instead he started to gently rub your skin in soothing circles.
You let out a quiet, satisfied sigh - up until now you’d tried to ignore how stiff and aching your hands had been feeling lately, but Fiyero seemed to know exactly what he needed to do in order to gently soothe the pain in your stiff, aching joints.
„So?“, Fiyero asked, his chocolate brown eyes meeting yours.
The intensity in his eyes caught you off guard - though, at first glance, his gaze seemed soft and full of concern for you, there seemed to be something darker and hungrier beneath the concern - and that, paired with how incredibly good he looked with his reading glasses, caused your cheeks to flush.
„I - what?“, you asked him, having completely forgotten about alchemy and the proper ratio for red clover and amaranth in antidotes for the moment.
Fiyero chuckled. „Already speechless …“
You rolled your eyes at his comment, casting about for a snappy remark, but just then, Fiyero gently squeezed both your hands once more, before his hands settled on the insides of your thighs, dangerously close to the hem of the skirt of your Shiz uniform.
„The proper ratio for red clover and amaranth in antidotes for poisons that aim at bending the free will, I’m sure you remember that, love?“
His tone was entirely light and innocent, but the dark, hungry gleam in his eyes and his satisfied smirk told you that he knew exactly what he was doing to you, when his hands started to slide higher, and higher, underneath your skirt, until you felt his fingertips brushing against the soft, sensitive skin of the inside of your thigh.
Your breath hitched, you couldn’t help it.
Fiyero leaned even closer towards you then, his eyes finding yours again.
„The proper ratio, darling?“, he asked you again, just when his fingertips started to explore the skin of your thighs with teasing, soft touches.
„I - I“, you stuttered, trying your hardest the recall the notes you’d taken concerning the particular question, but to no avail. Your mind was focused entirely on just one thing: Fiyero.
The way he was looking up at you, not even trying to conceal the hunger in his eyes now, was making you feel dizzy, and his fingertips, wandering ever higher, now dangerously close to the seam of your underwear, kept you on edge, and you felt your heart start to beat faster.
Fiyero chuckled, just as his fingertips brushed innocently over your clothed mound.
You squirmed, your breath hitching, and your hands gripped at the arms of your desk chair, your grip so tight that your knuckles widened.
„If you want, I could help you out, love“, he said, his dark eyes finding yours again. Normally, you’d have rolled your eyes at his blatant innuendo, but as it was, all you found yourself able to do was trying to lean into his touch, wanting - no, needing - to feel the delicious friction of his fingertips against your core again.
Fiyero held your gaze, all while his fingertips brushed over your clothed core again. You sighed, closing your eyes in relief, though the relief was only short-lived.
Heat was starting to build in your stomach, and again, you found yourself leaning into Fiyero’s touch, your hands leaving the desk chair, and reaching for Fiyero, settling on his shoulders.
„The proper ratio, love“, Fiyero said, his fingers now drawing teasing circles over the fabric of your underwear, „is very important to remember, because due to red clover’s strong effect on the mind, it could quickly act as neutralizing, instead of amplifying when used in too high dosages.“
Your eyes widened. Now that Fiyero explained it, you were able to recall the information yourself, even able to conjure up the image of the flashcard containing that particular information in your mind. What really had you staring at your boyfriend in awestruck fascination though, was the fact that he was able to recall such information at all, given his current circumstances.
If the roles had been reversed, you wouldn’t have been able to concentrate on anything but him, you thought, as your eyes found Fiyero’s again.
He smirked at you, watching as your cheeks flushed, as he increased the pressure of his fingertips on your core.
„Fiyero“, you said breathlessly, breath hitching when, suddenly, his hands settled on your waist with a strong grip, and he drew you in even closer towards him. When his grip on you relaxed, your legs fell open almost instinctually, effectively trapping Fiyero between your thighs.
He didn’t seem to mind in the slightest however, the dark glint in his eyes intensifying.
„Not quite the answer I was looking for“, he said, his tone casual, almost matter of-factly, which was in stark contrast to his knowing, satisfied smirk and his wandering fingertips, which brushed against your underwear again, until he finally, finally took mercy on you and slipped his fingers beneath the fabric.
„But I suppose it’ll do just as well“, he muttered, his eyes finding yours, as his fingers brushed over your core again, this time without the irksome barrier of your underwear in the way.
You whined, trying to lean into his touch, but Fiyero didn’t increase the pressure of his touch, continuing to draw teasing circles over your core instead.
„Fiyero“, you said, breath hitching, „please, I - I … I - just - please …“
It was torture, what he was doing to you, you thought. Complete torture. Kneeling between your thighs, his hair tousled just the way you liked it, looking up at you with a dark, hungry expression in his eyes behind his glasses, and yet he still wouldn’t touch you - not really, not in the way you really needed him to.
„Please, just - just touch me, please, I-“, the rest of your words was lost to the breathless, loud whine you let out, when suddenly, without warning, the pressure of his touch on your core increased, and he started rubbing your sensitive bundle of nerves in earnest, while he used his other hand to impatiently tug your underwear down your legs.
„The proper ratio is always double the amount of amaranth, due to red clover’s strong effectiveness“, Fiyero said, his own voice now sounding breathless. Having managed to successfully wrangle your underwear down your legs, his left hand settled on the inside of your thigh again.
Continuing to rub your bundle of nerves with his right hand, his left hand moved up your thigh, his fingertips edging ever closer towards your core, until he stopped his movements just when his fingertips had grazed against your core.
„Though I suppose you’ve answered the first part of my question, which means that you’re due a reward.“
When he finally pushed two fingers into you, you could have cried out in relief. Your grip on his shoulder blades tightened, but Fiyero didn’t seem to mind in the slightest.
The thought that you should probably feel embarrassed by how you’d already turned to putty in his hands, how wet you already were, briefly crossed your mind, but then Fiyero started to pump his fingers in and out of you in a torturously slow rhythm, and every other thought but how incredibly good he made you feel seemed to fade from your mind.
„But maybe you do remember what the best time for picking red clover is? It was in another footnote on the flashcard, love“, Fiyero said, his own voice sounding increasingly breathless and strained as his eyes found yours again.
How he could recall any of the contents of your flashcards at all when he currently had two fingers buried deep inside of you, curling them just the way he knew drove you wild, repeatedly hitting your sweet spot, was entirely beyond you.
As it was, you barely managed to wheeze out „Mid-Midnight“, before moaning embarrassingly loud, when Fiyero added a third finger, stretching you open even wider.
„Good girl“, Fiyero groaned, his hand leaving your clit for a moment as he hitched your right leg up over his shoulder. The fingers of his other hand were still buried deep inside you and you felt yourself squeezing around him, your breath hitching, the new angle almost making you see stars in front of your eyes.
The aching heat in your belly was building and building with every stroke of Fiyero’s fingers and soon you find yourself moving your hips in time with his hands, meeting his thrusts and seeking out more and more and more of the delicious friction.
But then, just when you were chasing after your peak, feeling the aching, delicious heat in you building and building, Fiyero abruptly stopped his movements.
At this, you couldn’t help but let out a cry of frustration, not caring about anything but your denied peak and the fact that Fiyero’s fingers were still buried deep inside of you, yet he was refusing to move them, denying you what you so desperately wanted - no, needed.
„Fiyero, please-“
„One last question, darling“, he said, his voice sounding rough and strained, and his hand left your clit again and you watched him with wide eyes as he carelessly took of his glasses, tossing them to the side.
„From here on out, will you listen to me, Elphie and Glinda when we’re concerned about you?“
The question caught you off guard, and you found yourself leaning forwards, wanting to be closer to Fiyero, but the sudden movement only caused his fingers to slide deeper into you.
„I - what?“, you moaned, biting down hard on your lip.
Fiyero’s dark eyes found yours again, his gaze serious. „You’ll listen to me when I’ll tell you to take a break? Exams are important, but so is your health, darling.“
As if to punctuate his point, he curled his fingers again, hitting your sweet spot perfectly.
„Yes, Sweet Oz, yes“, you whined desperately, your hips rocking forward again, „yes, I - anything you want, Fiyero, just please-“
„Good girl.“
And without further warning, Fiyero lowered his head between your thighs, and you felt his lips right there were you so desperately needed them. And instead of continuing to tease you and work you into a desperate, frenzy mess like he usually would with featherlight kisses against your core, he immediately licked a strip over your slit with his tongue.
„Fiyero!“
You nearly came undone right then and there. His tongue immediately delved into your folds, replacing his fingers, giving you exactly what you needed.
Your fingers found their way into Fiyero’s hair, tugging at his strands maybe a little too harshly, but if the low, satisfied groan that escaped him was any indication, he seemed to enjoy it, like he usually did.
Fiyero pressed his thumb to your clit again, applying just the right amount of pressure, as his tongue continued to slit in and out of you, perfectly hitting your sweet spot repeatedly.
Soon, you were a quivering, panting mess, desperately arching your back and bucking your hips up to meet the sure, confident strokes of Fiyero’s tongue. You found yourself clenching around him again, as the pleasurable heat in your core kept building, nearly at its breaking point.
A whiny, desperate moan escaped you, and you found your grip on Fiyero’s hair tightening even more.
„Fiyero, I - I - fuck!“, you panted, unable to string together a coherent sentence anymore.
Fiyero seemed to understand what you were trying to tell him, though, for he replaced his tongue with his fingers again, setting a brutal, unforgiving pace, as he swirled his tongue over your now swollen, incredibly sensitive bundle of nerves.
„I - Fiyero“, you panted.
You were so close, so incredibly close-
„Don’t hold back“, Fiyero now groaned, the hand that had been previously settled on your hip reaching up, and you immediately reached for it, „come for me, darling.“
That did the trick.
The coil in your belly snapped, and overwhelming waves of pleasure crested over you.
You came with a loud cry of Fiyero’s name on your lips, and squeezing his hand so tightly, your fingernails digging into his skin that you were sure they were going to leave crescent shaped marks on his skin.
Fiyero took everything you gave him, guiding you through your high, as he squeezed your hand back, his thumb rubbing gentle circles over your skin, greedily lapping up all your juices.
For a few, incredible moments there was nothing but Fiyero and the waves of pleasure claiming you.
Then, slowly, you started coming back down from your high. Fiyero was still kneeling between your legs and you squirmed from the overstimulation. Fiyero didn’t let you pull away from him, though.
Only after lapping up the last drop, and looking at you with a knowing, challenging expression in his eyes as he pressed his lips right against your swollen, sensitive nub - which had you squirming, moaning unintelligible nothings, your grip on his hair tightening once more - did he pull away, gently sliding your leg back down from his shoulder, before gently scooping you up in his arms.
You felt like putty in his hands, nothing more than a tangle of limbs.
You were still breathing heavily as he sat down in your desk chair, gently positioning you in his lap. Fiyero tucked your head against his chest, softly stroking your hair as he whispered sweet nothings into your ear, while you continued to come back down from your high.
After a few moments, you found the strength to reach for Fiyero’s hand, threading your fingers together.
His eyes found yours again, and the love for you you saw in them nearly took your breath away again.
„Sweet Oz, that was incredible, you’re - fuck, I love you so much, Fiyero“, you said, reaching up and pressing your lips to his.
Fiyero let out a soft noise at your words, kissing you back softly. The kiss was slow and sweet, and though you could feel how aroused he still was, you wanted to bask in this slower moment with him for a bit longer.
When Fiyero broke the kiss, he leaned his forehead against yours, cupping your cheek with his free hand. „You’re incredible, darling. I love you so much.“
You smiled, pressing another soft kiss against his lips.
When Fiyero pulled back again, his eyes were still soft and full of love, but his lips slowly formed into a smirk. „Though, what was that bit about studying quietly being the usual thing to do?“
You rolled your eyes. „You’re unbelievable, you know that?“
He just smirked. „Maybe so, but you love it.“
Seeing as there was no point in arguing this particular sentiment, you just pressed your lips to his again, though this time not nearly as softly and sweetly as before. Fiyero groaned, deepening the kiss.
You reached up, winding your arms around his neck.
You had a feeling that you were not going to leave your room for quite some time. Not that you minded, not even in the slightest.

You’re nervous as you wait for Fiyero to knock on your door. You sent him a letter to meet you tonight after everyone has gone to bed and you hope that your reason for inviting him over was clear. You made sure to make it very obvious so that there is no room for confusion.
He’s supposed to be here any minute and you tie and retie your robe to give your hands something to do. You jump when he finally does knock on the door and you pull it open, quickly pulling him inside.
“Did anyone see you?” You ask and he shakes his head as he reaches for you in an attempt to calm you down. He knows that him being around you always helps your nerves. All the anxiety melts away when he’s there.
“No, we’re safe.” He’s silent for a beat then speaks again. “So, about your letter…did you mean it?”
“Of course I meant it. I always mean what I say.”
“I just wanted to be sure because-well-this is uncharted territory for us and I have to admit, darling, it did catch me a bit off guard.”
“So you don’t want to sleep with me.” His heart breaks when he sees how hurt you look and he needs to set the record straight.”
“I never said that. In fact, that's all I’ve been thinking about.” Your cheeks warm at his confession and you turn away, surprised when he grabs hold of your face and turns it to face him again. “I just wanted to be sure that you were certain that this was what you wanted.”
“I do want it. So much.”
He sits you down on your bed as he steps between your spread legs. He reaches up and slowly pulls the tie of your robe, causing it to fall open. You’re wearing a matching silk tank top and pair of shorts and the fabric is so thin that he can see your hard nipples through your shirt. He takes it all in as he pushes the robe from your shoulders and it falls to the bed behind you.
You would normally feel nervous being so exposed like this, but not with Fiyero. You’ve always felt safe with him and this is no different. You’ve been friends for so long and something about this feels so natural. It’s almost as if it was meant to happen.
He drops to his knees in front of you, hands resting on your bare thighs as he looks at you in a way he never has before. His blue eyes are filled with want, with yearning and you nod to let him know that he can have exactly what he’s wanting.
You watch him scoot forward, leaning in and pressing a feather light kiss to your collarbone. You can’t help but let out a gasp when his lips make contact and move your head back to give him more access. He kisses all the way to your shoulder and up your neck, giving it a soft bite.
You try your best to suppress a moan but it comes out anyway and that only causes Fiyero to bite you again. You moan even louder and before you can register what’s happening, you’re flat on your back and he’s hovering over you, eyes darkening. He lowers himself down onto you as his lips find yours in a messy kiss. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted, but nothing like you imagined.
His lips are soft like you always hoped and he knows exactly what he’s doing just like you assumed he would because of how much experience he has. This is easily the best kiss you’ve ever had-not that you have much to compare it too.
One hand slides up your shirt, grabbing hold of your breasts as his tongue slides into your mouth. He gives it a squeeze and you gasp into his mouth, hands sliding into his hair. You can feel him getting hard against you and it only makes you more wet. His other hand slides into your shorts, fingers finding their way inside your cunt.
He’s moving at a rapid rate and you have to hold onto the bedding beneath you. You’ve never experienced anything quite like this, your own fingers never being able to bring you this much pleasure. Your eyes flutter shut and with every moan and whine, Fiyero gets more confident, more hard.
“Fiyero, please,” you beg and he’ll do whatever you ask, especially when you’re whining like that. “I need you.”
“Whatever you want, darling,” he replies. “Now come here.” He helps you get under the covers and places himself on top of you again. He pulls on the bottom of your shirt and pulls it over your head and tosses it to the floor. “Wow,” he whispers when he takes in your bare chest, feeling so lucky to be able to see you like this.
“What is it?”
“Nothing-you’re just beautiful.” He pulls you in for another kiss as his own shirt comes off before he pulls down your shorts. He kisses his way down your body, slowly moving underneath the covers. He nips at the waistband of your panties, smiling when he hears you gasp again.
He spreads your legs, mouth moving over your cunt, surprised at how wet they already are considering how little he’s actually done. You’re soaked and he hasn’t even fucked you yet. Your panties are off in an instant and you barely have any time to ask what he’s doing before his mouth is on your cunt again, devouring you like a man starved.
Fiyero can’t see you, but he can just imagine the look on your face as moans fall from your lips. He just knows that your eyes are shut tight, hands fisting the sheets as your back arches in absolute pleasure.
He hooks your legs over his shoulders to give himself better access as he goes in again and again, getting harder at the sound of your moans. And when your fingers pull on his hair, he groans in pleasure, encouraged to keep going even when you come.
He pulls away sooner than you’d like and when he climbs up your body, his eyes are filled with need, with hunger, seeming even more desperate than he was before he gave you head. But this time, you’re in charge.
“I’m on top,” you tell him and he smirks before lying flat on his back. He removes his pants and underwear before helping you top him. He’s fully prepared to let you take control, even feeling turned on by the idea. He loves a woman in charge, especially when it’s you.
It starts off slow and awkward but you eventually get to a good pace, moving hard and fast as Fiyero tries his best to match you. He would have never guessed you’d be this way since you’re so shy and reserved but then again, what is it that they say about the quiet ones?
“Feel so good, darling. So wet for me.”
“You feel good too.” You feel breathless already, somehow already getting so so close. Your fingers intertwine with his as you pin his arms to the bed, leaning down for a kiss. His hips buck against yours again and again.
“We have to be quiet,” you tell him as you reach up and cover his mouth because he’s getting to be a little too loud. You don’t want to imagine what would happen if you were to be caught like this, especially since Fiyero shouldn’t be here right now. “Can you be quiet for me?” You’re whispering now, voice so sweet like always.
He nods and grabs hold of your hand, pressing a kiss to your palm before entwining your fingers again. He’s so close, just needs one more push. And when he pushes into you once more, he’s coming and you have to cover his mouth again as he seems even louder than before.
And when he comes down, you get off of him and he pulls you to his chest, the two of you cuddling up underneath the covers. His hand lazily moves up and down your back as he tells you that you should do that again, but he gets to be on top next time.
“As long as you’re mine, you can be on top as much as you like,” you reply. He smiles wide and rolls you onto your back, laughs pouring from your mouth as he peppers your face with kisses.
“I’d love to be yours.”
“You always were.”
With that, he lies his head on your chest, falling asleep to the steady beat of your heart.
