This simple crock-pot beef pot roast recipe results in tender and flavorful beef with minimal effort. The onions, garlic, and aromatic herbs infuse the meat with rich flavors, while the homemade gravy adds an extra layer of deliciousness.
Ingredients: 3 lbs beef chuck roast. 1 onion, sliced. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup beef broth. 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. 2 tbsp soy sauce. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1 tsp dried rosemary. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tbsp cornstarch. 2 tbsp water.
Instructions: In the bottom of the crock pot, put garlic and onions that have been sliced. Add salt, pepper, dried thyme, and dried rosemary to the beef chuck roast. The roast should be put on top of the onions and garlic in the crock pot. Put Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and beef broth in a small bowl and mix them together. Put it on top of the roast. Turn the heat to low and cook for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is soft. Take the beef out of the crock pot when it's done cooking and set it aside. To make a slurry, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Add the slurry to the juices in the crock pot to make gravy. Cut the beef into thin slices and serve it with the gravy.
