“Woah!” John jumped backwards as his hands went up in a sign of peace, only to move to shield his crotch a second later. “Hey now, no need to attempt murder which is, you know, a felony!” He took a couple of steps closer, assuming that he wasn’t going to be killed and the world wouldn’t be robbed of his presence. “Just chill, yeah?”

to say he was nervous was an understatement. gunner had heard the ways chloe talked about her family, and though he always thought he got along with parents well, hers seemed vastly different from his own. maybe it was the way he was raised, or the way he saw the world, but part of him knew that her parents would never approve unless he completely changed or flat out lied, and he couldn't do either of those. 

Standing at the front door with some flowers in hand, suitcase and Chloe next to him, he let out a slow breath."wait, let's not go in yet. can you just tell me that everyone is going to love me?" he let out a small laugh, never before had he wanted someone's approval so bad. but part of him was terrified that if her parents didn't, she would no longer want to be with him. _________________________________

Chloe looked into his dreamy eyes, knowing just how nervous he most have been feeling. She had to admit, she was nervous herself, but seeing how much he cared about impressing and getting the approval of her parents just made her heart melt. It showed how much he truly cared about her. 

At the question, she smiled softly at him, cupping face with her one free hand, making sure she was focusing in his eyes. She didn’t want to lie, not to him, and not to her family, so she wasn’t going to start today. “I love you, and that’s enough for now.” For now, because what if her father hated him? Sure, he wouldn’t like him at first sight, but after the weekend was over.. what if her father still hated him. She gave him a quick supportive kiss before opening the door.

Her youngest little sister instantly jumped up from where she had been sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Only five years old. “Chloe!” The little girl ran at her and hugged her waist, before looking over at Gunner. “Wow, you look like Ken and Barbie.” She said shyly before hiding her face in Chloe’s stomach. “I’ll take those for you. Thank you.” Another blonde said, taking the suitcases out of Gunner and Chloe’s hands. Chloe could instantly tell it was something she had been instructed to do, yet appreciated it anyway. 

“I’ve missed you.” Chloe said, offering her little sister, 18 years old, only two years younger than Chloe. “This is Gunner.” Chloe took a step back, giving the two of them a chance to meet. “Nice to meet you, I’ve heard so much about you. I’m Leah, and this is Ruth.” Leah said, nodding towards the five year old. Her face carried a somewhat genuine and partly forced polite smile. Playing the role of an obedient daughter.

           an enigma of sorts, rosario was never in one place or with a person for too long. RESTLESSNESS came quick for her the second she felt stagnant or stuck in a relationship or in a city. so when the two had met weeks ago, the brunette was quick to say that she was not the type to commit or settle down with anyone. she lived for the fast-paced life, enjoying the grand and small moments, but never for long until her WANDERLUST driven soul would have her moving to the next city, ready to explore new experiences and people. ‘ i said it before, i’ll date, but i won’t commit. i’m a no strings attached kind of person. you can’t keep ignoring that. ’

a couple days ago the brunette had been told that he was going to meet jaleigh’s father, something that made him a bit more nervous than he should be. although skyler planned for her to finally meet his friends since he had spoken so much about her even when they were only doing the whole fake dating thing but since they were actually together now he felt it was the best option since they’d be around more than usual. letting out a small sigh as he was now standing in front of her since it was just about time for them to go. there he was dressed in semi-fancy attire to try to impress the guy even though he probably looked a bit silly, “are you sure we have to go meet your father today?” he already knew the answer so there was no point in him trying to get out of it.
