I picked up some new fleeces!!!

Have I finished all my other fleeces?

(shhh that information is classified)

Dark brown fleeces (top of photo):

2x bags off the same sheep, each 1.1kg. so 2.2 kg of dark brown/dark grey border Leicester. Very soft handle, gorgeous colour. Some weathering in the tips. I've started cleaning the first chunk, it's come out beautiful with some detergent in cold water. Staples approx. 100mm long, sound, very little VM!

It's getting cooler here, and I started well past midday so not much sun to help the drying. Luckily I'm very clever and the oven has a warmer :))

Grey fleece (bottom of photo):

Also border Leicester, also 2.2kg. similar qualities I think, strong and weathered tips, beautifully soft handle.

Piebald fleece (middle right of first photo):

A giant bag of corriedale. I was so surprised by the colours, I half expected it to be Jacob, but that would be a new one for me in this country. It's 3.25kg, and very very soft, almost like merino.

White fleece (middle left of photo):

A merino X Charollais, as I couldn't find any Charollais tops this time. It's little, only 0.5kg and the grower warned it's a stinky sheep. But I enjoyed my first foray into the breed so much, keen to explore further.

I really like how the Lamb turns out here.

Playing around with how I draw the lamb

I love the crowns in the games. (Especially Chemach’s crown)

Aaaaand I think I accidentally made an AU regarding with the lamb and the bishops’ crowns. (At least I’m sure that it is hinted that the crowns themselves are somewhat sentient?)

I admit that I looked up about few things in the game because I was curious. And I really like the fleeces’ designs. (The last fleece with the suits is my personal design for the lamb.)

I… accidentally find the picture of Narinder’s Eldritch form and I was wondering what would the Lamb look like if they have a Eldritch form like the bishops? And here’s my take of the lamb’s Eldritch form.

(Yes, it’s almost similar to Narinder’s Eldritch form but instead of their whole face, it’s only with their mouth and the eyes are replaced with more sharp teeth.)

The Shame, part 2:

A complexly cabled sweater I said I'd finish for an old lady (my mom's friend's mother-in-law) when she moved to a care home and could no longer knit. I did a big swatch & matched her gauge, & started to work on a sleeve, and then she died. She died before I finished her sweater, y'all, that's how bad my procrastination failed us all.

In my defense, she was 94 to begin with. Her family said they'd like to have the sweater as a keepsake, and she'd done like 70% of it anyway, so I will be finishing it. Now there's no "deadline", though, and I haven't worked on it in a while.

On the left, a sweater I was unravelling for the yarn (Fishermen's Wool) and didn't finish, plus more unidentified scraps & balls.

On the right, an unfinished shawl that I'll probably frog bc it's acrylic anyway & I'd rather have those needles back for something else. Or I could finish it; idk. A fingerless glove that I lost the mate to, years ago, but I liked them so much I still think I might remake it one day. And a bag of very fine, very tangled wool yarn (Haapsalu) that was broken in several places, & I need to finish winding it into little balls.

Left: Bags of hexipuffs I haven't worked on in quite some time. Yes, plural bags; there's a second one behind.

Right: One of several fleeces I need to finish sorting, washing, carding, spinning. One is already mostly clean, in the folded-up drying rack. Another is partially spun. I think there's two still in the closet, untouched.
