If I had a penny for everytime a bobby "the found father who stepped up to take care of his children even if they weren't biology related to him but still loved, protected and cared for them like they were his whole universe" died in a silly little wee wooo show, I'll have 2 pennies; which isn't a lot (in numbers) but has broken me 😭 completely. I feel like a fucking orphan I HATE IT SO MUCH. First Bobby singer now Bobby Nash, MY PAPAS 😭😭😭😭😭😭
A stand against tyranny
The Boston Tea Party wasn't about the price of tea, it was a direct stand against British tyranny that had been squeezing the colonies for years. The Stamp Act, Townshend Acts, and quartering of troops had already shown the crown's pattern of control and disrespect.
When Parliament pushed the Tea Act, giving the East India Company a monopoly and forcing colonists to pay a tax without any say, it became the final straw. On December 16, 1773, patriots boarded those ships and destroyed the tea to reject submission.
They risked everything, arrest, imprisonment, even death.. for what.. because they refused to live as subjects or slaves to the crown rather than free men.
That bold act of resistance should still speaks to us as many try to wipe out our American history and our founding principles.
When government ignores consent and forces its will on the people, true liberty demands action, not compliance. Look around you this Fourth and remember the this story as you hear of stories of education being forced on our you kids. As our history books teach the new narrative and not our true history.
The men of Boston Harbor chose defiance over comfort. The question for us today is whether we'll do the same when our liberties are threatened.
What would they do if they seen a kid crying?
washington: attempt to console the child, make it worse
adams: berate the child for acting like a child
jefferson: also cry
madison: ignore
hamilton: challenge child do a duel as a means of distraction
franklin: invite the child to fly a kite under questionable meteorological circumstances
Characters who deserve to have a really great Father's Day

this is so touching, my heart just fluttered
Sometimes I like to think I’m like be one of the more important founding fathers, like George Washington or Abigail Adams. But then I remember that I had a stomach cramp the other day and convinced myself my appendix was exploding, again. . . James Madison it is.
