Day #19 - June 25th 2021

Somewhat against my will

I am registering for courses

Although the school year seems far off

It’s something I must go through with

It’s startling to realize

To contrast and compare

The attitude I used to have

Way back in first year

I used to be excited

To go through the catalogue

To read the course offerings

To begin a new prologue

Because now I am tired

And I really must confess

I feel only apathetic

And really couldn't care less

Taking a screenshot from your dissertation and editing it on to a picture isn't really the photo on the beach we all expected but the dissertation is still done!!! It's been nearly a year since I chose the topic, and here is my 10k (ish) words I have to show for it. Truly the peak of my academic bullshitting. You are not your grades (surprise!!)

Your intelligence, hard work and skilss arent defined by a bunch of numbers.

Lets begin with understanding the exam dynamics there are hundreds of different systems in high school and when it comes to uni it really depend on the doctor how they structure it. Some may depend only on recall exams (like my system) some may depend on critical thinking and guess what they’re all just skills needed to be acquired!! If you’ve got the knowledge without the skill or vice versa you may not preform like you’ve expected.

Along with the fact that going through personal issues may affect your grades, the amount you sleep and how well you’re hydrated actually matter and affect your performance. Lets not start about mental block, if the exam room isn’t quiet enough and actually the exam level itself.

After all of that, do you really think it’s about how smart you are? This define all of your skills? Your capabilities?

You’re definitely not your grades.
