Fun fact: In the Spanish dub of the movie, The mid-credits scene, Fox refers to Rosalina as pretty, saying "that pretty space princess". I was slightly surprised that they added that because in the original, it's different. But I will take this as canon for myself that he saw rosalina and thought “Woah, pretty lady”

As a Rosalina x Fox shipper, here are my headcanons for Rosalina and Fox getting married:

Princess Peach would be Rosalina’s maid of honor with Princess Daisy as a bridesmaid

Toadsworth would officiate

Falco would be Fox’s best man with Mario, Luigi, Slippy, and Peppy (and maybe Toad) as groomsmen

Every Luma would be a flower girl/boy/other with either the baby Luma or Lubba being a ring bearer

Rosalina would add McCloud as her last name

This would mean:

Princess Peach and Fox become in-laws

Mario and Luigi become in-laws to Fox and Rosalina (when Mario marries Peach)

Princess Daisy and Luigi getting married makes them the only normal couple

Family reunions in Brooklyn get a whole lot weirder

Thinking today about how I would rewrite the Galaxy movie to let Fox and Rosalina team up, because I love them both and this would have made them even more compelling to me! More elaboration under the cut :)

My idea is that Fox lands unknowingly on Planet Bowser in search of a way to fix his warp drive, but instead he finds a recently captured Rosalina. The two come to an agreement to help each other get back home and manage to narrowly escape Bowser Jr to find refuge back at the Comet Observatory. However, when Rosalina realizes the villains will never stop pursuing her and she is putting the Lumas in more danger, she voluntarily returns to Planet Bowser and leaves the Observatory in Fox's care.

The bottom drawing touches on my headcanon that, if the Comet Observatory has a human-sized cockpit, then Rosalina must be piloting it on a regular basis. I like to imagine that, though she's not as much of a thrill seeker, she is just as skilled as Fox and can do very dangerous maneuvers if needed to survive... such as when she ends up having to pilot their getaway ship off of Planet Bowser. (The Arwing, while intact, has to be left behind in the chaos of the villains' pursuit. Fox is only temporarily devastated by this outcome.)
