Ah don't mind if she just... Grabs some from you while working. She really needs to finish her assignment, do understand

She's kind of an enabler tbh. I mean, if the two of you are both stressed about the report you haven't finished yet, it should be fine to just have another cup no? Even if it does make her jittery...

Nighttime Layla, however, chides both you and Daytime Layla for drinking that much. Especially concerned for you for any signs of caffeine overdose

Ultimately 2/10 in damage control I'm sorry, the two points are just for Nighttime Layla's scolding

You won't hear any complaints from him, but do be prepared to have your third cup of coffee to be replaced with decaf...

Every time you put it in the grocery list he's just staring at you, stance rigid and shaking his head like a disappointed parent

He isn't a control freak per say, he does allow you a cup or two sometimes, especially since he's such a bitter drink enjoyer himself

8.2/10 in damage control ultimately because he can't stop you from forcing it into groceries, but is excellent at switching it to decaf as quick as he can

Lohen

Lohen doesn't care much for coffee himself, but when he sees you drinking too much he steals it away running around head quarters as you chase after him with a stupid grin on his face

Caffeine makes you jittery, and he can't have you sloppily sparring with him when you're drugged from that much coffee now can he?

Despite his short stature this little shit is annoyingly good at placing your coffee at increasingly strange and high up places in the cupboard, heck he might as well hide it away in his office so that you can never fight it

10/10 in damage control, he's too good at blotting out your grocery list and hiding your increasingly dwindling coffee reserves

Freminet

He already despises caffeine, but seeing you drink it like it's an elixir of life makes him dislike it even more somehow

Always tapping your shoulder or hand with a concerned expression on his face, his nose scrunched up by the look of the dark liquid alone and trying to convince you to at least take a break

Sometimes multiple hours are spent underwater just thinking of ways to mitigate your addiction or whatever, and sometimes he speaks to Pers about it too

5/10 in damage control if you're swayed by his puppy dog eyes, 2/10 if not

A horror movie night is his idea of a cozy date night. Just the two of you, no other people, movies of a genre he likes, blankets and cuddles. Perfect.

And the fact that you get scared and cling to him is the biggest bonus

He loves it

He’ll be all sarcastic about it but he loves it

Like in my mind Wanderer was kinda touch averse before you started dating but then whoops he found out he was actually touch starved and really craves your touch (Yes, that is realistic. I might be projecting onto him but for me it makes sense for him to be like that too)

“Oh? You’re scared? How cute.” anyone who says this is ooc should listen to his simulanka voicelines to traveller

Salty popcorn eater, will grimace in disgust if you prefer sweet popcorn

He will point out the flaws of logic and production in these horror movies.

“Oh please, that costume looks cheap as fuck. Who is that meant to scare??” “Seriously? They’re splitting up? Survival instincts of a sock, typical.”

Like suddenly he’s a film critic lmao

His complaining helps you find the movie less scary though so that’s a plus

He notices you tense up less after he complains so as an odd way to soothe you he’ll continue to keep the criticism rolling

Later when you’re trying to fall asleep he’ll check on you whether you’re still scared and no matter what you say, he’ll say that “cuddling will keep the nightmares away” sure buddy

Like this had to have been your idea and because he’s such a good boyfriend he indulges you

Just imagine you two with face masks, a fluffy blanket, two cups of tea and Kaveh in his silk pajamas

“We’re watching a horror movie and you expect me to not pamper myself??? Ever heard about balance?”

You will cling to each other the entire time, both of you scared shitless. If any of you get a notification on the phone he’ll scream in terror

Also he will talk through the entire movie. He’s a stress talker. It would be pretty funny if you didn’t also feel a little bad for him

“Who builds a house with so many dark hallways??? BAD choice. BAD architect.”

Will flinch and squeeze you at every jumpscare but brush it off as “not that scary”

“I wasn’t scared, just startled… yeah, startled. That’s all.”

Please soothe him in some way he will deny being scared but it will be appreciated deep down

That night you sleep with the desklamp on and he’s clinging to you.

He will still eye shadows suspiciously days later

He’ll be all thrilled abt the idea of watching a scary movie, bragging about how he’ll comfort you when you’re oh so scared

“Aww, my darling lover scared of watching a horror movie? I’ll protect you hehe~”

He’ll prepare all the snacks, popcorn, chips and soda talking about how this will be so good, seeing you scared and having to comfort you as if he’s your hero

The switch up after the first jumpscare should be studied

He’ll scream and cling to you, whining about how making someone watching that movie is inhumane

“Ynnnnn you’re so mean. Torturing your poor boyfriend’s soul with this”

Halfway through he’s hiding behind you, eyes shut close, muttering something about how how the monster can’t see him if he can’t see the monster

At some point a good amount of popcorn ended up all over the couch and ground, Venti accidentally threw it during another jumpscare

You can barely take the movie seriously anymore, his antics are too entertaining to you

He’ll demand being paid back in kisses and cuddles after having watched that movie that he was so excited about

Says he doesn’t mind horror but you can tell he’s hesitant

Please don’t pick a horror movie abt like the ocean or something he doesn’t wanna watch something scary abt his passion

He’ll settle beside you under the blanket and be all quiet for the entire movie

When he’s scared he just stares. It’s him freezing up, so it’s less noticeable than when the others are scared but you can read him so you know what’s up

He keeps unconsciously fidgeting with the blanket and flinching at scenes

If you grab his hand he’ll mutter a quiet “Thank you”. He’s not ashamed to be scared of anything and is happy that you’re trying to comfort him

Also he’s a great comforter if you’re scared

“It’s okay to be scared of these kinds of things, but at the end of the day it’s just a movie. It’s not real.”

Point it out and he’ll be a bit flustered, not used to people finding him particularly comforting

If you’re both scared he’ll probably focus on making you feel better still. He cares a lot about you so he puts you first

He will get over the scare pretty quick tho so after the movie is over he’ll be fine

Will check on you after to make sure you’re okay too

✧ sandrone who will take it as a personal offence if anyone harms pers and makes it known that pers is only to be kept under the care of pulonia (and herself, ofc).

✧ sandrone who invites only freminet for tea bc he worked so hard and she wants to thank him the only way she knows how to. But freminet always mentions lynette's love for tea during it, which makes her roll her eyes and invites lynette the next time (even though she specifically hates lynette for ruining her precious robos)

✧ in the end, she has to invite lyney too. She hates it, but at the same time, she sees how giggly freminet has become with the presence of his two siblings. This is something she doesn't see often because of her intimidating presence.

✧ sandrone who then watches her attitude and tongue whenever he's around - she makes a great effort to soften her tone and actually voice her praise to him every now and then.

✧ arlecchino notices the change one day when she's dropping freminet off - she was wondering why freminet had started to look a lot happier coming to the fatui hq (he's usually agitated and nervous).

✧ sandrone who eventually pats freminet's hair, uttering that she would like to officially take him under her wing and teach him the ropes to being as great as she is.

✧ sandrone who will start to see a once soft-spoken little boy, garner the confidence to talk to her as he talks with his siblings - familiar and comfortable.

✧ sandrone who suppresses a squeal when freminet starts to gift her things from his explorations he's done in the ocean.

✧ sandrone who keeps the small trinkets and gifts in a special box to look at when she's feeling down.

✧ sandrone who will continuously mention freminet's name to her robos who haven't met him yet (there's only a few who haven't met him - he's familiar with 80% of her robos).

✧ sandrone who will always be one call away if freminet ever needs or seeks her help and advice.

✧ sandrone who will always speak highly of freminet as if she had raised him all by herself and as if he were a son of her own blood.

authors note: safe to say i absolutely melted last archon quest when sandrone asked for fremi's help. I like to think that sandrone will become a huge softie for him. just thinking abt them makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, they're fit the fav aunt/fav nephew trope so well (or alternatively, the older sister who stepped up as a mother-figure for their baby brother).

𝑨𝒍𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒎

You and your fiancé Alhaitham had to go to the desert for a few days. Alhaitham didn't explain much he just said it was for work and you of course agreed to go with him. It was the second day there and Alhaitham had left the tent you both had set up for just an hour or so to get the business he needed to do done. When he came back your entire camp was ransacked. Things were stolen, everything was messy, but Alhaitham didn't care about that. All he cared about was if you were okay. He rushed inside and saw you lying on the ground.

He ran over to you and picked you up and cradled you to his chest. "Y/n.. who did this!?" He asked desperately. You tried to speak but you were too weak, your vision was beginning to get blurry and the last thing you saw was your fiancé desperately trying to speak to you. When you shut your eyes Alhaitham broke down in tears he was so angry with himself for not being able to protect you and keep you alive. He brought you back to your family and there was a funeral held for you.

Alhaitham was grateful you at least got to have a funeral, but he was still furious with himself for not protecting you. He tries to hide his grief from everyone, He tried to act tough for everyone and he even was comforting some of your family members at your funeral. He stayed close with your family years after your death, and he would talk to them often, it made him feel close to you again. It gave him comfort and closure that he couldn't feel anywhere else.

𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆

Pantalone was against you using a delusion. He told you they were dangerous, and he didn't want anything happening to you. However, you still started using one despite your husband Pantalone complaint's. And sure enough, you died on the battlefield from complications from the delusion. When he got word from one of his subordinates that you had died, he was in shock. He couldn't believe it, his s/o? dead? from a delusion? he refused to believe it. He wouldn't believe it.

But when his subordinates brought your body back from the battlefield for the funeral and he saw you all of that disbelief and denial came crashing down on him. He just looked at your lifeless form in shock and in disbelief. He held out his hand to cup your cheek, and when he felt your cheek, you were as cold as ice "Leave." he said to his subordinates, he didn't want the people under him to see him like this.

He just sat there in the corner of your once shared bedroom crying. He felt weak for letting his emotions go so easily but he couldn't help it. You were everything to him and he didn't know what he was going to do without you. After the funeral he took a few months off from the fatui. He kept the delusion that killed you to remind him every day of the fact that a part of this was his fault, He should've just taken the delusion away.

𝑫𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆

This whole thing was a complete accident. Dottore had done this experiment at least a hundred times on different species and nothing had gone wrong. So, when he asked to try it on his s/o he wasn't worried about it going wrong at all. It wasn't even supposed to be painful he would've never done it if he knew what was going to happen.

During the experiment something went wrong, he wasn't even sure what but one moment you and Dottore were laughing and just talking about random topics and things that interested him while he was conducting the experiment and the next moment you were unresponsive. He immediately dropped what he was doing and tried to see what was wrong. Your body had reacted negatively to one of the experiments and it had completely shut down. You were dead.

It happened so fast Dottore didn't even see it coming, He was just so in shock when he realized what happened. He spent years just trying to figure out what had happened. That was his way of coping, if he could figure out what had happened to make you react that way it would give him closure. He shut himself off from the rest of the fatui and neglected his duties for about two years. Two years just trying to come to terms with your death and trying to figure out what really happened. After those two years he knew, he couldn't keep neglecting his work but even after he returned to his work, he still tried to do research on that experiment whenever he could.

𝑳𝒚𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆

You and your girlfriend Lynette were out late one night. You two were making it back home when you both had been ambushed by monsters. You both fought the monsters off or so you thought, "Y/n, are you alri-" She started to ask before a monster appeared behind her. You gasped and pushed her out of the way, but you got hit in the process. Lynette reacted quickly and fought the monster off and then rushed to your side.

You were bleeding profusely from your stomach, and she knew that you couldn't make it home. She scooped you up in her arms and she cradled you against her chest as she laid her head on top of yours. She cried and told you how much she loved you as you died in her arms.

You didn't live long after you had gotten hit. Around the time Lynette got to you, you had died already but Lynette was so caught up in everything she hadn't even noticed you were dead she just thought you were still alive. While she cried, she looked down and noticed you weren't breathing anymore. She brought you back to the house and got her siblings. She was frantic and she was trying to explain to Lyney what happened but between her crying and how worked up she was Lyney couldn't understand her. Lyney got her to sit down, and she explained what had happened after she had calmed down.

Both of her siblings took really good care of her while she was grieving for months, she spent most of her time just in her room trying to come to terms with your death. she would have nightmares for years after your death about the night you died.

So, when you got sick a few days before your boyfriend Freminet had to leave the nation for work related things you didn't think of it as a big deal, and you insisted that he didn't have to stay back with you. He wanted to stay back and take care of you like he always did when you were sick, but he couldn't miss this his father would've been angry with him.

He had every faith that you would be okay, so when he got word that you were dead, he was absolutely shocked and devastated. His father gave him permission to go home early and when he got back, he found out that you were indeed dead.

Months went by and Freminet wasn't any better at all. He kept having nightmares about you dying and seeing your lifeless body to the point where he would miss out on sleep. The nightmares eventually went away but he never forgot about them, and he never forgot about you. He became more and more distant from everyone, and he never fully moved on from you.

freminet is tempted to reach for his diving helmet when he hears your cheers, wanting to hide from the blush that threatens to break out and the sudden wave of panic. had he kept you waiting? what if he didn’t meet your expectations? he wasn’t all that familiar with combat, less so on dry land… all of this flashed through his head at lightning speed, but he did his best to put it aside. he held pers against his chest, letting himself smile the longer your celebrations go on. just wait until lyney and lynette hear about this…

lyney is proud. it’s like the high he gets after a show well done, but instead of the deafening cheers of the audience, its the happy celebration of one. he knows you can’t see him—not entirely, anyway, your device blurring his features—so he doesn’t keep himself from smiling. his eyes close to block out everything else but you, welcoming the divinity in the air as it begins to seep into his skin. he’d been looking forward to this moment ever since he got his vision, even going so far as to plan out how he’d tell his siblings. he’d stop by the market for fresh fish—or maybe pick up a treat from Café Lucerne, or maybe both. today was a day of great celebration, and he was glad you were as happy as him.

neuvillette is surprised at first. on one hand, of course he’d return to you, and he didn’t like that doubt about that was ever present in your mind. when he’d received his constellation, he’d made a promise to both himself and you that he’d do his very best to answer the stars when—if, he reminded himself—you came looking for him. on the other… it was beautiful to hear your joy. your laughter echoed around him, and he committed every part of your celebration to memory. you were thanking him, funnily enough.. perhaps when you descended, he’d have the chance to thank you properly? for now, though, the best he could do was keep the skies of fontaine clear. whatever you wanted, you would have, and if you wanted him, then who was he to deny you?

xiao has very little visible reaction, not that you’d see it anyway what with the screen between your world and his. internally, he does worry for a moment about your happiness—had he missed you before? it felt excessive, to be so excited over him… should you call, he would always be there in an instant. it was even written into his contract with morax that he would defer his duties to liyue if you needed him. every part of him was an extension of your will, right down to the nature of his work; he worked day and night to protect his section of your world, keeping watch for any who tried to disturb it. if he had it his way, you wouldn’t have to use any more than one star for him to come, but your link to teyvat was a tentative one. he’d have to repay you for the trouble later.

You were still cold despite being curled up in your large blanket hoodie. Your blanket was pulled over most of your body, but warmth eluded you. As you tugged the blankets tighter, your front door opened. It could only be Fremient. The blond-haired male slowly entered your sick room, offering a small, sympathetic smile. You could sense his concern from across the room. You rarely fell ill like this, but when you did, it hit hard.

"Hi, y/n," he whispered softly. "You awake?"

"Yeah," you croaked, your throat feeling no better.

"You look quite adorable in that hoodie of yours."

"Yeah? Do I?"

Fremient then produced his penguin from behind his back. He'd recently added the little scarf you'd made to it. He handed it to you gently, careful not to make contact.

"I'd cuddle you, but I don't like being sick. So take this instead."

Your face flushed red, partly from illness, but also from Fremient seeing you in this hoodie. You rarely wore it around him, feeling embarrassed about it.

"I also brought you some medicine."

"T-thank—Achoo!"

You caught Fremient's pitying smile. He wished he could take your illness away.

"Get some more rest... I love you."

"I love you too, and I will."

Lyney: Doesn't care about getting sick as long as it's with you

As soon as you called Lyney saying you were sick, he rushed back from visiting the Nave. Surely she'd understand, right? On his way back from Snezhnaya, he picked up some medicine and grabbed some of your favourite snacks.

Upon arriving at your house, he found you curled up next to the couch. "Darling!"

"Lyney?" Your voice was barely above a whisper.

He rushed over, quickly placing a hand on your forehead, then hurried to find a wet washcloth. When he returned, you had attempted to move onto the couch.

"Don't move, y/n." He approached you slowly, but you told him to stop.

"You'll get sick, Lyney..."

"I'd do anything for you, darling, and getting sick happens to be one of those things. Besides, how can I resist you? That blanket hoodie makes you look adorable."

"Be quiet," you mumbled as you snuggled deeper into the blanket.

It was almost as if you were clinging to the poor thing for dear life. Lyney couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy towards the blanket, all wrapped around you, cozy and snug. He wanted to be the one cuddling you. So without a word, he climbed into your sickbed and wrapped an arm around your waist. Against your neck, he murmured,

"I love you. I don't care if I get sick."

He really should have read up on what this movie entails. Cause this man was a scaredy cat. He jumped at every noise. You’d think working for the fatui would make him less afraid of this stuff but apparently not. He’s not alone within his fear. Freminet is holding onto Pers for dear life. Though unlike his brother he’s not waking up the entire neighborhood screaming. Then there’s Lynette who is still as a board. Not scared in the slightest but highly invested in this movie. She originally kept trying to shush her brother and his dramatics, but eventually gave up. She’ll let you hide your self in her shoulder, just don’t move or make too much noise.

Haunted Houses! Hutao 👻

One question. What the hell were you thinking taking her to a haunted house?? You can’t tell who’s scaring you more, her or the scare workers? Whenever the atmosphere is too quiet or your grabbing a snack from a food truck; Hu Tao will come sneak right up behind you and say “Boo!” while poking/grabbing your shoulders. One time you screamed so loud and dropped your food she was giggling like a maniac. While everyone around you stared at you guys for a solid 30 seconds. (can you blame them? nothing creepy happens in the food court, normally atleast)

"L-lyney, are you sure they aren't following us? What if they are secretly a assassin? They were sent out to kill as many fatui as they can because one fatui agent killed the assassins brother! They could hunt you down and Lynette and Frem-"

"Oh love, they are just out to get some coffee, look." Lyney chuckled at you, pulling you close so you could follow his line of sight...upon closer inspection, the person really did just seem like they wanted a nice cup of coffee.

"Oh..my bad..."

"Sweetheart, the worlds not always out to get you, I promise and even if someone tried...I'm here to keep you safe and I can protect myself too. I appreciate your concern, but you don't have to be so scared. I will never let anything bad happen to you." You turned to face him, letting his words sink in as he kissed your lips softly. Somehow, knowing that he'd always keep you safe...it made all those worries seem nonexistent...even made you feel a little braver.

𑁍༄Neuvillette:

"What if I get trialed...it's a false accusation, but they have fabricated the evidence and convinced the oratrice of my guilt. I get the death sentence...or if I don't, they find a way to kill me while in the fortress!" You shuddered at the thought, scooching closer to Neuvillette as the two of you sat in the opera house. You'd asked to see it...even planned to talk with him about how trials go, but being inside the place made you more aware of how terrifying it would be to be in the guilty persons place.

"Please, do not fear such things. I would find the means to prove your innocence, even if it meant resigning from my place as chief of justice." He kissed the top of your head, silently wondering what it would be like if he did resign..if all that time that normally went into trails was spent with you instead...perhaps there wouldn't be so many rainy days.

"I could never ask you do to that!"

"...I don't believe I ever said you'd have to. Just know that I would never loose you so easily."

"...never?"

"Never."

𑁍༄Wriothesley:

"Has he killed someone? W-what about her?? Wrio, are you sure I should be here? What if someone sees us together and tries to kill me to get to you?! Or what if they use you to get information out of me, like tell us his the code to his safe or he gets it!" Your bit your nails, your eyes frantically scanning every prisoner that walked by you, why had you come to the fortress again??

"Actually, hes here because he beat up a man who'd bullied multiple Melusines and she's here because she stole a bag for her sibling cause she couldn't afford to buy it for them. Sometimes, people do bad things for the right reasons, that doesn't make them good, but it doesn't necessarily make the bad either." He waved at them both as you followed close behind, seems your mind had gotten the better of you yet again...but knowing they weren't murderers didn't make the fortress less scary.

"There are killers here though...how can I not be afraid?"

He paused midstep, making you bump into his back...had your words stumped him?

"I'm a killer, but you seem perfectly content being around me." Those words were on your mind all day...he was a killer, but you seemed perfectly content around him. Others were easily afraid of him and yet you never were, so maybe the fears you had were never really that scary at all.

𑁍༄Freminet:

"Freminet! I-im scared! What if something's under my feet!" You struggled to keep yourself afloat on the oceans surface, suddenly regretting joining him for a swim...he always made the water sound like home, but the idea of something lurking beneath the waves or getting stuck somewhere and never being found..."F-freminet!!"

"Hey calm down, it's okay." He wrapped his arms around you, keeping you afloat while his cheeks turned a rosey hue, "Do you trust me?" You bit your bottom lip, staring into his eyes as you contemplated that question...of course you trusted him, but the rest of the world was up from debate..

"Yes...I, I trust you."

He kissed your forehead and softly pulled you under the surface of the water, for a second you thought you were going to panick...but you forgot all about your worries. Fish of every colour and plants you'd never seen...bubbles floating softly to the surface and sparkling shells catching your eye. It was more beautiful than words could describe...and for once, not a single thing scared you.
