dirty laundry and a messy kitchen are evidence of clean clothes and home cooked meals.
scarred skin and sober dates are evidence of growth and commitment.
This is a very special merchandise roundup. Because it's not just a generic collection of Rick and Morty apparel. Instead, it's 2024's first
🎄 Christmas Roundup ❄️
I say "first" because this will not be the last. Once the holiday juice starts flowing, it doesn't stop until the season is over.
I'd actually forgotten about the yearly holiday merchandizing blitz until I stopped by a local thrift store and found a pile on the accessories table. Hoorary!
First up: socks tucked inside a Christmas tree.
If that's not enough, you can buy an entire Rick and Morty sock advent calendar. I'm not sure what Rick's trying to convey to Morty on the cover, though. Is he expressing his doubts about Rick and Morty footwear?
He shouldn't worry--the footwear is here to stay. Buy a pair of slippers to go with your Christmas socks!
Pre-wrapped Christmas gifts! I couldn't figure out what these were until I saw the labels on the side. Socks and slippers, tied up in a red bow.
If you're not a sock enthusiast, how about some pajama pants? The Pickle Rick set had a fancy holographic tag.
After this, I ventured off to the shirts and hoodies...and that's where I got confused. Rick and Morty as...bears?
I looked up "Anti Social Science Club" online and couldn't find anything except a Poshmark listing with the same slogan and characters. Fresh Laundry is the brand, but I couldn't find any information on that, either--just that it occasionally pops up in resale stores.
I looked up "Trust No One"--no luck there, either. A clothing brand called Trust No One does exist, but I couldn't find a Rick and Morty collection.
Aaaand we're back to the Anti Social Science Club. That Rick illustration would actually be badass if he didn't have the bear head.
This was bothering me, so I went back to the store and checked the hoodies. They had the same Fresh Laundry label from the Poshmark listing.
All I can find online is that Fresh Laundry doesn't have its own website and seems to collaborate with thrift stores, so I guess these hoodies' origin will remain a mystery. Maybe somebody just threw together a bunch of Internet iconography (cartoon bears, logos, Rick and Morty), figuring it would sell.
Either that, or this is a leak from another universe where people look like bears. Merry Christmas! 🐻
