• Pie/baked goods are my preferred dessert but I will indulge in some @jenisicecreams. And no, I don’t like warm pie or pie ala mode. • I love doing things alone. I have extroverted tendencies but I’m my own favorite person. Going to a movie by myself or going out to eat by myself have literally just always been how I live. • I decided to be a wardrobe stylist because I literally don’t know how to be myself if I’m not comfortable in what I’m wearing. • I have weight issues, body image issues, stretch marks, and love handles…but I still feel fuckin’ sexy. SORRY ‘BOUT IT, BOYS • I’ve run out of things so say so I’ll leave you with one last little fact about myself… I don’t have a sugar daddy. I’ve never had a sugar daddy. If I wanted a sugar daddy, yes, I probably can go out and get one, because I AM WHAT? SICKENING. You could never have a sugar daddy because you are NOT THAT KIND OF GIRL. #Repost @womensbeercollective ・・・ Today’s special March feature of #fridayintroductions is to introduce you to Sam Dufau, Head Brewer and owner of 2kids Brewing Company! As a fellow member in the San Diego chapter of the Pink Boots, I get the opportunity to cross paths with Sam, and was lucky enough to brew once on her “small but fierce” system. Now entering the 5 year mark in the newly named Miralani Makers District area of San Diego, what we locals refer to as “Beeramar”. Sams background is in home-brewing, along with her husband, 2kids Brewing was their natural next step and dream gig! Many of her favorites represented at the brewery are session-able light British ales and Continental lagers. Also, make a point to try Incredulous (Silver Medalist at the San Diego International), Rattle Can Red (Silver Medalalist at the LA International Beer Competition), and Poppycock ESB (Best-In-Class at the LA International Beer Competition)! Sam has a killer sense of humor, and you will see her fun creative personality come through in her beers! Take for example Just Cake Blonde Ale....designed especially because of her love of vanilla cake! I know from reliable sources that Sams dream day would be for her, and her #wcw and fellow #brewbabe, Aleks Kostka of @culturebrewingco, brewing together and drinking beer, with cake close by! In honor of the end of a great week & passing 100 followers in the 11 days that I’ve been active, I decided to participate in #FridayIntroductions so you could meet me!

So, hi 👋🏾, I’m Raven (the one up there ☝🏾 with the cheesy grin 😁). I am the face & paintbrush behind By Raven Victoria. I created By Raven Victoria so that I could explore my love of painting and get to experiment with other mediums, like photography & sculpture, and so that I could meet more artists and nonartists that appreciate the different ways you can find beauty in life. I also wanted to share my experiences because art is my way of coping with & making sense of my depression, which I’ve battled for years. I want others to feel like they are not alone and there is at least one person right here that understands and wants you to know that this is, and always will be, a safe place for everyone 💜

#Fridayintroductions. Adoptive moms to Tiny (2.5) & Sweet (4.5). Foster parents to the boys' older sister, currently transitioning to her preadoptive home. Previous foster parent to the boys' older brother, also in his preadoptive home. Therapist mom is complex trauma expert, clinician & professor. Artist mom is former social worker turned web designer. We blog about the intersections of #transracialadoption #fostercare #LGBTparenting. We microblog our day-to-day here (IG) & aim to let our anonymous photos do the bulk of our storytelling. We are advocates for reunification, attachment-focused parenting & social justice. We keep doing what we're doing because we think it's important & that sentiment keeps getting reinforced by you all. We are so grateful for the positive exposure during #fostercareawarenessmonth. The heavy. In our home we are straddling two worlds. On the one hand we are a family of four who have not yet fully lived as a family of four since finalizing adoption last year. We are turning the corner toward that life & feel the seismic shift daily. We are worn. On the other hand we are transitioning our biggest kiddo into her preadoptive family & moving through our collective big feelings that come along with such a thing. We are knowingly separating siblings just as we knew at the onset this would be the outcome. But we remained steadfast & hopeful that the best possible outcomes would arrive for all 4 kiddos we have grown to love fiercely over the last several years. In the absence of their birth family and families of origin, whom we hope will show up if appropriate, we have stepped in to fill a lifelong gap through adopting from foster care. We say that not to toot our horns or raise our great white hope flags, but to state that we are here doin the work. Learning. Loving. Expanding. Through all that feels wholly unfair or otherwise, we stand here in the gap, holding our own individual & collective hopes for a future & a life worth celebrating in its many complexities & shades of beauty.
