A Monster Hunter player who uploads soloes is taking down their videos due to the appearance of their signature mod, a bottle of OLAY. They say that they're doing this because of Capcom striking people's videos due to the appearance of mods. What Capcom is doing certainly can't be legal; Yet they'll get away w/ it thanks to IP law and other laws around the world moulded by corporations to punish people for having control of their product(s). I know people only care about the big new product that got flashed in their eyes, but this should be a wakeup call to never trust Capcom. The corporation will takeaway years of another person's work and just because they dared to have autonomy.

SFW Alphabet - Piers Nivans

I wanted to write this just because there aren't many things out there for my fav sniper! Also I've never done one before and was curious how it would turn out. I think it helps me outline his character for other fics I plan to write in the future. Enjoy!

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Very affectionate. He's always asking how you are, always brushing a hand to your side whenever he walks past you, always keeping an eye out for you. And hand holding - please hold his hand. He will blush to his ears. He just wants to be held,  and it makes him feel safe.

I don't feel he's too affectionate in public, especially at work. Not that he’s embarrassed with you or anything, he might sneak a quick peck on your lips or throw an arm around your shoulder but he wouldn’t full on make out with you in front of  his colleagues. He prefers that behind closed doors :)

I would also imagine the way he shows affection is by caring. A LOT. He ALWAYS makes sure you're staying hydrated and eating, plus he always makes it a priority to check up on your mental health too. He wants to support you as much as he can. Would never hesitate to grab you a snack from outside even if you’re craving it at 3am. 

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Would be the most loyal friend you ever had. You just know you can trust him with ANYTHING. Secrets, embarrassing moments, hot gossip. This man will never speak of it or say a word, even if his life was on the line. Would definitely be available to you at all times, he wants to be there for his friends and treats them like his family. Just generally very supportive and always by your side - what more could you ask for? Would definitely like to get to know you more seeing your kindness and initial friendly warmth, as I feel those traits mean a lot to him. And for him as well, trust/loyalty is a huge make or break factor. He would want that in a close relationship (not that he's clingy). I also imagine he's awful at texting back but amazing at picking up phone calls - he would rather just talk on the phone instead of typing a huge paragraph of text (I mean he has a ton of reports to read already, so he would like to avoid reading more of anything as much as possible). 

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

A massive cuddle bug. He likes the warmth and intimacy it gives. And it also makes him feel he can protect you and knowing you're safe in his arms is a perfect way for him to truly relax with you. He likes cuddling with you in the evenings, it's routine for you two to unwind after a long and tiring day. He truly feels like a new man after an intense cuddling session. His favourite way to cuddle you is you both side by side sprawled on his comfy bed. Also loves when you bury your head in his chest - it makes him feel like he can protect you against the world. 

Definitely rubs your back while cuddling, it's comforting for both you and him. Also buries his face in your neck/hair 99% of the time - he likes to nuzzle into you. 

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Definitely wants to settle down, hell you two are practically a domestic couple since he truly believes giving his all to his partner. I imagine he's quite meticulous at cleaning - he likes keeping things organised but awful at laundry.. Cooks nutritiously and the food tastes amazing, yet I imagine he can't bake very well - that’ll be up to you. 

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

If he was breaking up, it would either be he wanted to keep you safe, or something that he can't continue the relationship with that doesnt agree with his morals or values. Would call you for a chat in person and gently explain the reasons why; he doesn't believe in bitter endings. He would like to be on good terms. 

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

In his head you two are already married. This man is completely enamoured and if he could, would marry you on the spot. But he knows that you may want extra months for planning the wedding and making it perfect, so would definitely propose when the time is right (aka work is not interfering with both your lives, and the stage in both your lives is perfect) 

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Despite his occasional gruff demeanour with his team, he never fails to lend a kind word (which is written in his re6 files too). Definitely a HUGE softie behind doors - this man is SOOO soft and gooey. He would be so supportive and so gentle with you with everything - conversations, his body language, in bed. Always cautious not to use his strength on you as the last thing he wants to do is hurt you or make you unintentionally scared of him so treats you like a glass doll, despite you reassuring him you won’t crack. His favourite way to show this is softly stroking your hair, it's the definition of romance for him and it makes him all gooey inside. Emotionally, I feel like he might be on the tough love side (like how he interacted with Chris when he was going through his trauma). But he means well - he just wants the best for you. If you tell him you just want support right now instead of a solution; he will happily shut up and cuddle the hurt out of you. But his natural instinct is to provide solutions - he can't help it. Again it's the soldier in him. 

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He wouldn’t often give bone crushing hugs, I see him more embracing you romantically as he still wants to look into your eyes/see your face. He rests his face on your shoulder all the time - it's snuggly and he feels comforted . His hugs aren’t tight, they are more like a embrace during a waltz - intimate, yet freeing. Will sway backwards and forwards subconsciously. Also loves burying your face in his chest - it makes him feel as he puts it - ‘manly’.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?

I don't think he has a lot of experience with love/relationships, so he will be in love and not even realise it. He would just constantly question his feelings of protectiveness and jealousy till it finally dawned on him like a light bulb in the middle of a boring BSAA conference that he was definitely not listening to. Would 100% wait till he knew for sure you also had feelings for him and you also loved him - he doesn't want to embarrass himself and make himself look foolish. Even though he avoids saying the L-word out of anxiety, he tries but can never hide how absolutely down bad he is for you LMAO. Will go the extra length to protect you/ take care of you and doesnt even realise he's exposing himself and always gets absolutely shocked when his teammates mention and tease him for his crush on you.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Oh man. This guy. Will not hesitate to walk up to the person and physically push them away from you. He has a VERY short temper when it comes to random people hitting on you - so be prepared. Will not even hear the other person's excuses - he doesn't care. You're his. As I mentioned before, this man values loyalty above all else so it definitely means a lot to him. He’ll pout, and maybe be a bit moody, so please give him some smooches and pinch his muscles and tell him he's the only man for you. He’ll get over it pretty quickly after that as long as you are sincere to him - and he can usually see right through insincerity. All he wants is utter devotion back so please don't flirt with anyone but him as thats a big no no for him with his s/o.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Full, and loving. He loves pouring all his emotions and passion he feels for you in any kiss he gives you - so be well prepared. Kissing him would make you completely relax in his arms and weak in the knees - it's the warmth and emotion that positively bursts for you like a tidal wave. 

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Children often see him as a big brother - he naturally has the charisma. They trust him almost immediately to your amusement, and cling onto him with their lives. And naturally - it makes you explode. 

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

He wakes up before you, but doesn't move and enjoys the comfort while he's still sleepy and cosy. Definitely traces a hand over your features as you're knocked out, admiring your peaceful, relaxed expression. I see him as staying in bed time, but not for too long as the military training he's had in the past can't make him stay too long as he'll begin to grow restless. Will happily make you breakfast while you snooze in bed though; a coffee with a hearty breakfast consisting of sausages, eggs and toast for him, while not forgetting to add your choice of meal too.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

You two have a pretty scheduled routine, as Piers likes going to bed early.  Will definitely not forget snuggle time with you, and loves chatting to you about whatever's on his or your mind before you go to sleep. It's his way of catching up with whatever went on the day, while also being able to get whatever is off his shoulders. He also doesn't mind a movie night - and is one of those people who makes comments on the movies CONSTANTLY. Either you love it, or hate it. No inbetween. 

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

At first, he was a little frosty. You can't blame him, he has gone through so much despite being only 26, and has lost a lot of friends who he considered family on his team. He tries to not grow so attached to new people in his life since he's so afraid of developing a connection and suddenly having that taken away from him by life's cruel circumstances. He needs the time to trust you first, and slowly you'll melt away his icy demeanour - and he'll find himself drawn to you despite his best efforts to control himself. 

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Has a pretty short temper. But don't get me wrong - he would never get short with you. You’re the only exception in his life, he wouldn't dare raise his voice or scare you in any way (but sometimes he still slips up though; he's only human). Although, when he’s irritated, you can usually tell by his jaw clenching and his fists curling by his sides (and you find it pretty hot). 

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

As we all know, the BSAA’s top ace is sharp, observant, and blessed with a higher than average amount of concentration. Don’t be alarmed when this man is recalling the jumble of facts you sleepily have babbled in your sleep from a random night years ago as if it was the most important, obvious thing in your relationship. This does tend to make you slightly alarmed, however in a strange way it is comforting he cares so much about what you have to say. It also makes him extremely gifted at present shopping. Yes, he will remember the exact shopping item you glanced at a little too long in the window shops even if you don’t mention this to him. 

R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)

His favourite would probably be a simple, yet special moment for him personally. I imagine it might be the time he meets you after he's realised that he's in love with you. You both had gone on your usual coffee shop trips in a local cafe that was a regular for the two of you. The way the foam formed a moustache around your lips was endearing to him and he found himself warmly smiling and blushing at your playful expression, as you wiped it away with the back of your sleeve. You looked even more beautiful to him that day, the comforting atmosphere of the shop and the slight rain outside pattering on the window was so perfect and romantic to him. You didn't notice a thing as you were so caught up in retelling a story that you had saved especially for this date to say, but to him - it was the most picturesque scene from a story tale. 

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

As I've mentioned before, this man is extremely protective of you. He’s seen too many horrors in his life, and knows how important it is to cherish the ones you love before you don't have a chance to again. He might be slightly on the controlling side I imagine, but that is only because he's so scared of losing you. If you're out in public with him, don't be surprised when he's sending death glares to every man who even glances at you for more than a second. He can't help his territorial side and it usually makes him grumpy if you look particularly beautiful that day and have more attention on you than usual. Up front and confrontational with the sleazy men that approach you despite the obvious death glares given from Piers' way before they approach you, although it never fails to make you slightly hot and bothered at his protective attitude. 

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He prefers simple dates, nothing too fancy or special. He just wants to have a fun time with you and while he isn't opposed to an expensive more traditional date, he just finds he can relax a little more easily in a more casual setting. Food dates would be his absolute favourite -  you two have a special thing where you try all the best local food shops around, and have a few places that are frequently visited - especially his favourite steak houses.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

As mentioned, he may be a little controlling over you, and that's up to you whether you take it in an endearing way or not. I imagine he also might not be too great at communication sometimes when he's having a particularly bad mental health day. You may need to get him to open up to you with a little prying, but he always gives in after a little egging on. This habit of his sometimes makes you anxious as you would like him to be more open with his feelings since you want to make him feel like he can approach you with anything. He also is extremely bad at laundry and is one of those people that just dumps it on a chair, much to your annoyance. 

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not too concerned, although he does make sure he uses his hand cream often in the winter time as his hands can get some calluses from constantly holding his sniper/equipment. Also makes sure his lips are always soft using balm (I mean have you seen how soft his lips look?!). I can totally see him as one of those boys that don't use anything on their face other than raw soap and water and yet they have perfect clear skin. 

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Of course, he depends on you and you depend on him. To Piers, you make his life more fuller, you make him hopeful for the future. He loves the emotional relationship you two have despite him at times being a little withdrawn (but don't worry, he's getting better at expressing his feelings). You're his light, his very soul. 

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Is a big big fan of knitted jumpers. Overall loves knitted things in general and gets cold very easily. Always has those fluffy socks on even in summer time (to your horror) but hey - at least you don't feel his cold toes in bed. If you know knitting/crochet, a hand made cardigan or scarf would bring tears to his eyes and you would never catch him without it. Will also proudly tell Chris at every single moment much to his annoyance. 

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He doesn't like dishonesty at all, and will slightly hold a grudge unless you are sincere in his apology. He wants there to be no secrets between you two as he holds the bonds of trust to a high degree. Also is not willing to compromise if you don't get along with people he loves in his life (ahem ahem his captain). They mean a lot to him, and wouldn't be too keen if you didn't get along with them. 

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He drools cutely, and somehow ALWAYS gets on the side of your face. A regular habit of yours is now washing the pillows more than usual unless you want to sleep on his slobber (secretly you think it's cute). Along with the socks already mentioned, he definitely loves sleeping with a hot water bottle in the winter times and owns an electric blanket, much to your amusement.
