Honestly many of my blorbos do come in pairs of obsessions. I just like whatever fucked up think these guys have going on and it makes me like them more
In Monika's case I adore all four of the Dokis
you take the man out of the city not the city out the man

Someone [@xmicrophonyx] indulged me & said to talk about the Fukawa system [as a unit, mostly surrounding their D.I.D] so here I go, in no particular order.
Jack adores Toko [platonic, ffs]. Everything she does is to protect that girl. An alter developed under such traumatic circumstances is bound to be protective. However, Toko despises Jack. She lives in a killer's body over this. She didn't ask Jack to protect her. She didn't want this parasite keeping her alive. Jack is acutely aware of Toko's feelings on her, but, accepts it & continues to do her job as protector regardless.
Jack & Toko have slightly different capabilities, because despite sharing a body, some things [even physical] require a different mental state of being. Toko is a bit more cerebrally logical, while Jack is more physically coordinated. Both traits bleed into the other now & then ; a lightning quick reflex from Toko or an impressively observant [yet humorously worded] deduction from Jack.
The way I write Jack, she experiences emotional bleed, but has her own opinions, mostly surrounding how it affects her host. If she can feel Toko falling for someone that Jack knows will hurt her, she's a bit more wary with her own following feelings.
On the other hand, if Toko ends up with someone genuinely good, Jack will try to withdraw. She of course wants attention, but, she knows what she is. She knows what she does. She knows she's not 'good', & if Toko pulls someone who is, well they can be good together without the big bad wolf hovering over them. [jack pov]
Let's talk about switching.
Obviously irl it's not as easy as sneezing, getting bonked, etc. The most accurate is that Jack will come forward in instances where Toko is experiencing intense genuine fear.
Either of them knows how to bring the other back if necessary, carrying a packet of pepper just in case. I'd like to think of that instead of the taser because that was bordering a little too insulting for me.
Anyway if anyone has any specific questions [especially about D.I.D i love sharing with people] throw them to me, I love these two so much.
Do you think sometimes Toko has to do some social interaction or speech stuff and is just like "nah fuck it I'll get Syo to do this" and just has her do all the talking
pre-despair? definitely not. Syo did take a lot of abuse/bullying for Toko, but that was more Syo stepping in to protect her.
as for later in life I think Syo fronts at big social events(future foundation parties and such), but often has to mask as Toko. I suppose she would have been doing that pre-despair too but I don't image child Toko went to a lot of large gatherings
