So it looks like Heron, Jinana, Julian, Tsedi and Turel are going on a little adventure out on the Rim this weekend lmao

This is actually a pretty advantageous team (though I don’t think anyone has Mining, oops):

Heron: skilled crafter, cook and combatant, good at research

Jinana: good role-floater with skilled social, decent crafter and cook, some medical and combat

Julian: professional doctor, hard to kill, good at research

Tsedi: highly skilled combatant and social

Turel: extremely skilled crafter, gardener, and animal handler

So of course I’m gonna roll with Randy Random just to make it that much more surreal 🥴

...and then we get to see who is going to bone down, because everyone is queer and poly 😂 (I can make Heron and Jinana ‘siblings’ so they don’t pair off lmao). I will probably also end up making a lot of them Psycasters just to emulate the arcane shit they can do ;P

1. What are things they both find funny?

They both have a lot of stories of their families that they shared when they were younger (I hc Val having a big family like @/sunrisenfool writes) and they keep up on the latest gossip in their families to share - they do poke a bit of fun at court members in the palace - Jamil’s gotten very good at doing impressions of different members just to get a laugh from Val when he mimics something they said

9. Have they made each other cry?

This can be angsty but I’m feeling too soft so—Jamil cries very easily point blank, but being surprised with a gift or a heartfelt letter or out-of-the-blue declaration of feelings (as rare as that is) will get him for sure, and it has before

On the other side, those sort of acts are common for Jamil, but every once in a while he goes in, performing a song written just for Valerius or just telling him point blank everything he loves about him, and that may earn him a tear or two as Val denies it

17. What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?

There’s a specific wine that they both had when they were younger in Venterre that they associate with each other. Jamil also associates the smell of a library, and the song Valse Sentimentale with Val, and since Val dyed his, seeing blond hair anywhere makes Jamil think of him.

Alastor would go with his natural magical abilities and the problem-solving skills when it comes to research or puzzles. If prompted to specifically name something about his appearance, he’d give you a noncommittal shrug and say that he does like his eyes, “even if they are weird, seeing in the dark is useful”. After discovering the dragon factor, however, he’d immediately choose his wings as the trait he likes the most.

Marty does like how he looks, as well as his fashion sense — though if anyone’d actually ask him, he’d just grin and reply with “my ass”, because he’s just like that. Personality-wise, well, he has a somewhat mixed ‘relationship’ with his developing empathic abilities, but he does like that he can use them to help people close to him.
