i liked re9 because just like every good resident evil game, the first 2/3 of the game are great and the last 1/3 just leaves you going. ok why not!
There's a quest fee........
Okay but genuinely, Cult of the Lamb is such a versatile piece of media. It can be made into almost anything and still retain its initial culty vibes.
Like on one end. You could have it be an angsty broody interpretation of the game as a 'last of their kind' character sworn to kill the bishops in a vengeance fueled killing spree, sacrificing anyone for the 'greater good', manipulation of the masses and horrors beyond our means,
Or you make the cute little menace to society that is still on a killing spree, but at least they look adorable doing it.
And it works either way.
I know we joke about the Twisted Wonderland and Obey Me MCs being feral and having their own wild moments, but the Arcana Twilight MC is on another level. It’s like half the options at any moment are actually intrusive thoughts. Licking people’s faces, smacking people, making passes at the characters- It’s genuinely hilarious to read what options are available to me as I go “WAIT WHY WOULD THEY LET ME DO THAT” It’s a minefield too, because there are right and wrong answers, which means characters can react poorly to the things you say and do.
So I started playing Return of the Obra Dinn last night. It's a mystery puzzle game set aboard an old sailing vessel. But it was making me feel really dumb because I just couldn't figure anything out.
Anyway, today I tried it again and it's all opening up for me. I had forgotten how stupid sleeplessness makes me. I had been up for like 30 hours straight when I started and just kept cycling through like the same 4 scenes over and over again because I couldn't process or remember anything, lol.
something that makes absolutely no sense to me is who and why is anybody sending taran death threats because cory didn’t end up being backdoored??? what does he have to do with it??
Played some armored core for the first time and fuck me fromsoft are some cruel bastards
