[7:14 am]
Fundy hadn’t heard his front door opening, nor did he hear his cat meow at the presence of someone new in the house. He didn’t hear anything actually, not until his bedroom door creaked open and the soft shuffling of feet got closer to his bed as the person who entered his home stood before him.
Barely managing to open his eyes, he somehow managed to and was pleased—but also confused—to see you looking equally, if not more, tired than him.
Instead of asking questions first, Fundy simply moved the blankets before shifting to the side so that there were be enough room for you to get comfortable. He watched as you took off your jacket and threw it to the side along with anything else to help you be more comfortable.
He was just seconds from falling back to sleep but forced himself to stay awake a bit longer. Just until you were in bed, was what he told himself but even after you climbed into the bed with him he took the time to wrap the blanket around you before pulling you up into his arms.
“You’re here early.” He joked despite his tiredness begging him to fall back asleep, instead he buried his face into the crook of your neck and tried his best not to fall asleep yet.
“My class got cancelled,” You were basically mumbling into his chest as he hummed in response, letting you know that he was still listening despite his closed eyes and slowed breathing. “Woke up at six to get ready and all for nothing. I didn’t even get the message until I was already there!”
Usually, Fundy would’ve laughed and told you that he knew this would happen—he’s had a history of guessing whenever your classes would be cancelled due to the harsh weather conditions lately but you’ve never seemed to take his word for it. Today was no different from the others, except, he didn’t laugh at you. There was no teasing, save for the sneaky grin you swear you could feel against your neck, or laughing. All Fundy really did was readjust his arms that remained wrapped around your figure before letting out a yawn.
“Well you can sleep now, for however long you like. We can sleep all day if you want, I wouldn’t mind staying like this.”

Fundy stared at the communicator in his hand, unable to avert his eyes from the yellow words staring back at him.
This couldn’t be true.
It had to be a prank, right?
Someone must’ve messed with his communicator device.
You couldn’t possibly be dead, not when he has already lost everyone who meant something to him.
First his mother, then his father, then his friends, and now you.
The device slipped out of his hands, falling to the ground with a thud snapping him back to reality. Back to the reality that you were really gone, just like everyone else in his life.
“Fundy?”
So maybe not all his friends.
Turning around, Fundy was met with a familiar endermen hybrid. He looked at the fox with a sorry look but before he could say anything, Fundy turned his back on him and looked through his chests.
“Fundy- where are you going with that sword?” Ranboo already knew the answer but he wished to be wrong.
“To pay Dream a little visit.”
He had hoped that Fundy would have said anything but that but there wasn’t much he could do to stop him. Not when the fox was already walking out the door, maxed out sword in hand, as he headed to wherever Dream would be.
It felt like ages before Fundy finally reached the end of the forest. The sword rested comfortably in its sheath on his waist as he walked out the path and towards the clearing on top of a hill that he knew the green bastard would be standing on.
“Took you long enough.” He said once Fundy had reached the top. His back was facing him with his arms resting by his sides. It wasn’t until Fundy reached for his sword that Dream turned around and grabbed his axe. He wore his signature porcelain mask though it’s usual white colour was stained crimson near the bottom of his mask and on spots of his neck. The dried blood seemed like a cruel joke, as if Dream was taunting him.
“Do you think you could still hurt me?”
“I can kill you-”
“Then go ahead. You’ve already killed the last person who loved me, I don’t have anything else to live for.”
Dream couldn’t say that he was surprised at Fundy’s response. A part of him was sure that he'd be more angry, have that same fire in his eyes that his father once had. The same fire he needed for his plan to work but he also could understood why he wasn’t there yet. All he needed was some roughening up.
“You can help me.” He offered, putting his axe down as an act of peace to offer the fox hybrid his hand.
Fundy only scoffed, grip tightening on the handle of his sword before pointing it up at Dream. “I would rather die than be a part of your sick plans.” He said before swinging at the masked man.
His sword just barely grazed Dream’s cheek. Had he not taken a step back, Fundy would have been able to make him bleed.
The sound of metal hitting each other mixed with the sounds of heavy panting went on for what felt like hours before Dream had finally had enough and disarmed him easily. Caught off guard, he was able to knock Fundy down to his knees before pointing the tip of his blade at his neck.
“I am done playing your games, now are you going to help me or not?” He said in an irritated tone. Expecting for him to finally give in, he didn’t seem to notice him grab a dagger and tackled him to the ground with the blade pressed against his neck.
The next moment seemed to go by in a blur. One second he was on the ground with Fundy holding a dagger to Dream’s neck, pressed just hard enough to draw blood, but then he felt the hybrid's body fall limp on top of him. It wasn’t until he caught a glance at a tall blonde standing a few feet away that he realized what had happened. Grabbing his fallen communicator, Dream didn’t know whether or not to be angry at the mercenary.
[ItsFundy was shot by Punz]
Somewhere farther away from all the chaos, Fundy woke up on the soft grass where the sun shone softly on his face. Getting back onto his feet, he instinctively went to reach for his sword only to frown when he realized it was no longer on him.
A wave of panic rushed over him as he searched the area for it only to freeze in his steps when he heard a familiar voice. “You’re an idiot you know?”
(Y/N)…” Turning his head around, he barely gave you any time to properly react before pulling you into his arms. A smile grew on his face as he heard you laugh become quickly muffled before wrapping your own arms around him.
“You’re still an idiot.” You mumbled which only caused him to laugh and wrap his arms tighter around you.
“But I’m your idiot.” He replied as he let go, causing you to punch his arm. “Ow what was that for.”
“Getting yourself killed that’s what.” You huffed, choosing to ignore how he rolled his eyes.
“You can yell at me all you want but only after you show me around this place.” Fundy said, reaching for your hand and guiding you towards the edge of the hill he had woken up on. It’d be night time and you’d probably still not be done scolding him but he wouldn’t say that aloud.
Sighing at the change in topic, you agreed and intertwined your fingers with his before leading him down the hill towards what looked like a village in the distance hand in hand. He smiled as he barely registered what you were saying about the village you were leading him too. All he cared about was being with you again.
Oh, Phil thinks. His heart sunk to the pit of his stomach.
Phil hadn’t seen Wilbur in his descent to madness. He only had letters and then his insane son in his arms, begging for him to end his life. Fundy had lived it, watched it happen. His arms tightened around Fundy as the hybrid clung to him like a lifeline.
-
In which Phil decides to invite Fundy up to the Arctic to tell him about Wilbur's return, and discovers that maybe he needs to look at those around him and actually see what is going on instead of what he wants to see.

A God!Fundy & Reader Oneshot
Humans and Gods alike are able to fall victim to the minds tricks as cruel as it may seem sometimes.
contains: In game + God AU, derealization/hallucinations (possibly), mentions of war, gender-neutral!reader (2,811 words)
authors note: i’ve seen a lot of art inspired by the au where Fundy is the God of creation and decided to write a little something (if the person who came up with this idea wants credit or doesn’t want their idea to be used like this please let me know and i’ll happily give credit/take this down). i just really liked this au and wanted to write it. also this turned out to be more fundy centric than a typical x-reader story, i didn’t write it as romance coded
The Dream SMP lands felt lonelier than usual shortly after the war; a war where mortals and godly beings alike fought alongside each other.
While many returned back to their usual lives, one God seemed to back away from it all. The God of Creation, or Fundy as a few knew him as, had seemingly disappeared. There were rumors' that he had been killed in the midst of war while others claimed he was just simply busy. Some even believed that he was a myth like DreamXD who was said to be the God of the End or Technoblade The Blood God. They were well known among the humans but never seen or heard of much otherwise.
Fundy, who was very much alive and real, had heard their gossip but chose to ignore it. He’d let them think what they wanted as long as they wouldn’t bother him, especially after that war where he lost everyone who was dear to him. He needed an escape and an escape he created. The young God travelled a few blocks south of the Dream SMP lands and fell asleep against a tree when night fell. He could’ve been further even with the darkness but he was far too exhausted from walking to carry on and decided to take a moment to rest. When he woke up however, Fundy noticed he wasn’t anywhere in the Dream SMP lands but in a strange mesa biome.
Where am I?
Getting up from the tree, Fundy dusted off his clothes and tried to find anyone who lived here—though he highly doubted it. As much as he would’ve appreciated running into someone who’d be willing to help him, he knew the chances of anyone wanting to live in these sort of lands were slim to none.
Red sand covered the top layer of the land that was littered with cacti and various dead plants, further proving his thoughts that no one would be crazy enough to settle here. He couldn’t even see a water source on the small hill he was standing on.
That night the fox hybrid stayed by the tree he woke up by and since there was barely any food around, he was thankful for his powers that allowed him to alter the world to his benefit. It'd be enough to get him through the night when he'd probably explore the lands a bit more. Maybe he would run into someone who could help him?
A voice in his head scoffed at the thought, a voice similar to his fathers. You're a God, why should you need to ask for help? His father would have scolded him for this, if he was even still alive that is.
Wilbur Soot was known as the God of music and chaos but to him, he was known as dad. Wilbur was once a very loving father, doing just about anything and everything for his ‘little champion’, until all he seemed to crave was chaos.
There was a portion of his life where he truly did love and care for him but as he got older, Fundy noticed how his father seemed to lose himself in the power he was granted. His music was shared among mortals like gifts even though many claimed it was far too beautiful for them to even have access to. Regardless of that, Wilbur happily shared it to them and hoped his son would grow up to share his gift to others as well. All was well it seemed, the humans lived happily and Fundy had a loving family but then came the day where Wilbur abandoned him. And even if it’s been years since that happened, he doesn’t know if it's a good or bad thing that he could barely remember it when he tried. All he could remember was his father going insane and losing himself to his powers as he caused chaos among the people of the Dream SMP lands. No one knew how long his reign of chaos would last but they knew it'd end one day, and on November 16th, the Angel of Death finally put a stop to the chaos. That was the first time anyone ever saw a God not only bleed but die.
Shortly after that, Fundy realized he was never fully taught how to control his powers. When his emotions took over the young god had little to no control over what creations would be produced. He remembers Wilbur's face when he had accidentally spawned a chicken inside the house during a temper tantrum. Even if it did end up destroying the living room carpet, he couldn't seem to forget how proud he looked. He didn't even care that the carpet his mother had once loved was now destroyed because his little champion is finally using his powers. Now thinking about it, Fundy noticed how he always treated him like a child, even when the possibility of being able to survive was all in his hands. From granting precious gems to flooding the world in lava or spawning monsters, it was all in his control and now that he was in this new land, maybe this new land could be his testing ground.
Shortly after eating breakfast the morning after, Fundy immediately took to start practicing his powers on this strange land. Messing around with the creatures he could spawn in and all the changes he could create, he didn’t realize how dangerous he had accidentally made it until phantoms chased him toa clearing when night came.
For the next few days, Fundy spent most of his time altering the world to his pleasure but quickly came across a problem; he was still lonely. The world was at his fingertips and everything he could ever want was in his reach but he was still lonely. He didn’t have anyone to accompany him and fully let him forget the war and Dream SMP lands so as desperation finally hit, he pushed himself past his usual limit.
He planned to create 6 new hybrid friends. Creating full humans was much harder and he didn’t think he had it in him to do that yet so he settled for hybrids instead. The first was odd in his opinion, with a turnip for a head on top of a human body. “I’ll call you 5up.” He decided. Yes, perfect.
The next was an endermen hybrid though even Fundy didn’t know what his other half was. He didn’t bother asking. Ranboo. After them, came a goat hybrid named Tubbo, a cat hybrid named Crumb, a creeper hybrid named Sam and lastly most strangely enough, a human named (Y/N). Fundy remembers looking at them in surprise when they came to life, shocked at the fact that he was able to harness such power. He didn’t think he had it in him to push himself that far out of his comfort zone but perhaps he’s been underestimating himself all this time.
The six of them, not even questioning how they came to be a few minutes prior, immediately started a friendly challenge against each-other. Splitting their group into two, despite the uneven numbers, they quickly started to build their bases in an attempt of building ‘the best’ one. Even though Fundy had only met them a few minutes ago, they all treated him as if they had been old friends and seemed real. Almost like they’d always been here and Fundy simply teleported them here. Had he already met them before? Has he just simply forgotten somehow?
Fundy knew his powers were powerful, even if it wasn’t completely under control. His mother had often told him he’d be able to do great things in the future but surely there had to be limits to it right? Could he have possibly created beings with their own separate past? He often doubted it and that would result in him overthinking everything, but coincidentally enough, one of his new friends was always there to snap him out of his thoughts. His doubts were only pesky little thoughts in the back of his mind.
The longer he spent in this new land lined with windmills the more wanted he felt. More than he ever felt back in the Dream SMP lands, which now felt like a faint memory. He truly didn’t miss it at all, especially now that he was finally somewhere he liked. There were no wars, no fear of betrayals and lost. Only endless time to mess around with the world around him but this time, Fundy had others to help him but as time went on, this new land seemed to be the only thing he knew. When asked about his past, all he could remember was the strong smell of gunpowder and smoke and a fallen nation. People were an even foggier image but thankfully, no one pressed on the matter. “Just don’t forget us.”
***
While he called it the land of windmills, Crumb, who Fundy now saw as a little sister, preferred the name Cogchamp, a name Ranboo had actually suggested.
The two got into a light-hearted argument about which name sounded better and even got everyone else involved and unsurprisingly, they all agreed that Cogchamp was much better than the land of windmills.
“It’s shorter and easier to say.” (Y/N) had said, causing everyone else to nod in agreement. “And plus, you don't want to make Crumb sad now do you?”
“You’re lame, the land of windmills sounds much better and Crumb won’t get sad. If anything she’s just mad she didn’t come up with it first.” Fundy retorted to which the group, including Crumb, laughed.
“Sure it is, Fundy.” Tubbo responded teasingly before walking off with Sam towards the wheat farm. Crumb, Ranboo, 5up, and (Y/N) decided to follow them.
Fundy may have only known them all for such little time, despite the memories they may have of each-other, he was glad he finally found friends like them. He was able to be himself around them and not have to constantly live in fear of something bad happening. He was finally free of the burden of being a God and able to be human, not that he hated the gifts he was born with but rather exhausted of the high standards the humans held for him. It was refreshing to finally be allowed to make mistakes without thousands of others having something to say. Here, in Cogchamp, he was finally free.
“Are you coming?” He heard (Y/N) ask. Fundy hadn’t realized he had zoned out.
Of course I am, Sam and I finally finished the tractor and I wanna see if it works.” Fundy said before running to catch up with (Y/N) and everyone else. As he ran by them he had grabbed (Y/N)’s wrist and pulled them along with him, causing them to almost lose their balance before finally regaining their balance.
“There you guys are, come on I wanna see this thing go.” Tubbo said once the two finally caught up. Tubbo, Crumb, and Sam were already sitting on top of the tractor.
“Let me just check to see if it’s missing anything. Fundy said before going to check on the tractor one last time. Everything seems alright, he thought to himself before heading back up and getting on top of the tractor.
“Wait where’s Ranboo- Ranboo no Ranboo no.” Fundy said as he watched his friend spawn the blocks needed for an end portal. Why did he ever agree to sharing his powers with his friends? Even with limits to what they could do they still managed to do such crazy things, not that he minded. Maybe it was the fact that his father was the God of chaos that a part of him learnt to adore the chaos or maybe he just enjoyed seeing his friends happy.
The endermen hybrid, knowing he was abusing the powers Fundy had willingly shared with him, simply built it faster as he said: “I’m going home!” causing Fundy and the others to laugh.
Fundy truly didn’t mind despite his previous protests and with Ranboo now in the end, Fundy decided to start the tractor only for it to not move.
“What? Why is it not working?” He exclaimed. As he got up to go check on the machine, 5up spoke up causing him to turn around.
“Well it is technically working.”
“What- Oh my god.”
While the entire tractor didn’t move, the motor part of the tractor did and in the minecart that was supposed to move the actual tractor had a slime occupying it. “This is such a mess!”
“I’m bored, let’s go see Ranboo.” Tubbo suggested after quickly getting bored of watching the slime ride the minecart. Everyone else agreed and quickly joined the endermen hybrid in the other dimension where the ender dragon flew above their heads.
“Let’s kill it!” Fundy said as he handed everyone diamond swords and armour out of nowhere.
The ‘fight’ was anything but interesting, but more so his friends messing with the powers he had shared with them and making the dragon's death as anti-climatic as possible as ever, much to Fundy’s complaints.
“That was the most anti-climactic fight I’ve ever had.” He said as he took off the diamond armour and threw it onto the ground.
His friends laughed before removing the armour he had given them before continuing to mess around with the powers they now had. Fundy watched in amusement as they kept spawning in things that shouldn’t even be in the end dimension just for the fun of it.
“Okay I’m done, let’s go home.” Fundy had said. Thankfully, his friends listened and they all headed towards the portal that home. “See ya.” He said as he jumped through the portal even though he quickly came to regret it. He had gone through several end portals but for some reason this one didn’t feel right. His body started to feel numb and his head felt like it was spinning. “Guys?” He managed to say before his vision faded to black.
When his senses seemed to finally be back, the first thing Fundy noticed was that he was laying on something soft but it didn’t feel like his bed. The covers were softer and heavier on his body and he could smell fresh bread close by. Was he by the wheat farm?
Opening his eyes, he cringed at the harsh white light that shone down on him.
“Fundy?” He heard a voice say.
As his vision finally adjusted to the light, he looked at his surroundings and furrowed his brows in confusion when he noticed he was no longer in Cogchamp. Or at least, it didn’t look like anywhere in Cogchamp.
“You’re awake! Oh my god you’re awake.” The voice said but before he could even look at them they were already hugging him, quite tightly as well he might’ve added. “I was getting so worried you wouldn’t wake up. Especially since I found you passed out by some tree a few blocks south from the main lands.”
“Uh yeah, I am awake, I think.” He replied meekly, awkwardly patting their back as they hugged him.
The person that was hugging him pulled away and stood up. The two looked at each-other and Fundy could’ve sworn he knew them but he just couldn’t remember how. Had he met them before?
“You-you don’t remember me, do you?”
“Am I supposed to?”
There were a million questions rushing through Fundy’s mind as the stranger before him seemed to struggle with how to respond. All he wanted to know was where he was and how he could get back to his friends.
“Look I don’t know what’s happening, I just want to get back to my friends. Do you know how I could get back to Cogchamp?” Fundy asked.
The stranger looked at him as if he was crazy. “Is this a prank or something? What is Cogchamp?”
“It’s my home, I lived there with my friends.”
“This is a prank right? Fundy you are home, we’re in L’manburg. They plan on rebuilding it later this week. I think, maybe you should rest a bit more, you’ve been unconscious for a while.” The stranger said before leaving the room and closing the door behind them, leaving him to wonder what the hell was happening.
Where was Cogchamp? Where were his friends? Ranboo, Crumb, 5up, Tubbo, Sam, (Y/N). Where were they?
Had he dreamt it all? Was Cogchamp all a dream he had while he was supposedly in a coma for who knows how long?
It couldn’t possibly be true could it? Why doesn’t he remember what L’Manburg was if it was truly all a dream? Why can he only remember Cogchamp and the friends he had there.
Wilbur didn’t know how it would go, seeing his son again, after his revival. Surely it couldn’t be that bad, right?
A c!Wilbur Soot and c!Fundy-Centric Blurb
contain(s): A Fundy and Wilbur centric fic, In game AU, slight angst (474 words)
authors note: I saw that the white strands of hair in Wilbur’s new skin was canon and ran with it. Also this was rushed because I just wanted to quickly write this idea
Wilbur found him standing by Tubbo's dock. He didn't seem to notice his presence and despite him missing his son for the past decade, he stood there. He wanted to get a good look at his son and god knew whether or not he would be able to once he talked to him. The last time he saw him, or at least, that he could remember, he still wore his L'manburg suit. It was a crayon suit yes but still a suit nonetheless.
Taking a deep breath, he walked towards him but despite his back facing him, Wilbur noticed as his eyes perked up at his steps. Wilbur froze in his spot, not wanting to get too close.
"You really are back then?" Fundy said though it sounded more like a question. His back was still facing him as he spoke.
"I am." Wilbur replied.
Fundy sighed, running fingers through his hair before finally turning around to face him only to immediately regret it. The sight of pure white strands of hair in his fathers hair caught him off guard and had it not been for the post behind him, Fundy was sure he would've fallen into the water.
"Is everything alright Fundy?" He asked, concern clouding his face as he tried to help him.
"No no stay away from me!" Fundy said, his voice raising slightly causing Wilbur to freeze in his steps, again. Fundy inhaled a deep breath as he caught his balance before speaking again. "Your hair. Why, why is that?"
It took Wilbur a moment to answer. Was he thinking? Did he not realize the white strands of hair he had? The same kind that had....?
"Oh this!" Wilbur said, grabbing a section of his brown hair that had a few white strands. "I don't know actually, started growing around my fourth year in limbo.
It was pretty lonely there you know? I remember first waking up there, not even on a bench but on the dirty ground of a train station. There were many trains that went by, every day at least five went past me but none of them ever stopped. That is, until one finally did and brought me back here."
Fundy stood there in shock. He didn't know what to think, let alone say. His father was back and this time, he looked more like him than ever.
"Why though? Why did your hair change colour? I don't get it."
Wilbur didn't seem too concerned for his new hair. Instead he took a seat closest to where Fundy stood.
"You know your mother always said you looked just like me." Wilbur started, looking off into the sea before him. Meanwhile, Fundy's mind was racing with millions of thoughts. Surely this couldn't be happening. This had to be another nightmare, right?
