Never did I think That I would miss you Only because I’m still with you I guess its because I’ve lost myself And I’ve lost my way to you
I can’t find myself

Never did I think That I would miss you Only because I’m still with you I guess its because I’ve lost myself And I’ve lost my way to you
I can’t find myself
A poem
Period, period, go away
Do I really have to keep reminding you,
I’m gay
Lies
A love that did not truly love me
A world that was not meant for me
A person with poison running through their veins and out of their mouths
Like a noose around my neck
Choking me,
I’m breathless
Just like I was when I first saw your beauty
But then I realized how much of a porcelain mask you became
Your words
Your poems
Your promises
Lies
No one will love you like I once did
I planned my life around your lies,
Waiting for your permission to breath.
only I understood what the word toxic meant,
It would have stopped me from thinking we were a happy to last couple,
A happy couple that lived off of freedom instead of lack of trust.

So glad we have such a good little reader. ❤️
"TO A POET A THOUSAND YEARS HENCE" I who am dead a thousand years, And wrote this sweet archaic song, Send you my words for messengers The way I shall not pass along. I care not if you bridge the seas, Or ride secure the cruel sky, Or build consummate palaces Of metal or of masonry. But have you wine and music still, And statues and a bright-eyed love, And foolish thoughts of good and ill, And prayers to them who sit above? How shall we conquer? Like a wind That falls at eve our fancies blow, And old Maeonides the blind Said it three thousand years ago. O friend unseen, unborn, unknown, Student of our sweet English tongue, Read out my words at night, alone: I was a poet, I was young. Since I can never see your face, And never shake you by the hand, I send my soul through time and space To greet you. You will understand.

The demise of many things of late Has opened my third eye I am wide awake I've been here before I know I have I am alive to this truth And I now feel different for this knowledge So many things now make complete sense Every experience and the underlying reasons behind them I've finally realised my worth And what and who I used to be Before I got here I now understand what I was meant to do with this body The messages my mind is here to carry The deeds I am here to undertake Yes I am awake I'm touching the souls I am here to touch I've given and received love I'm understanding my journey better now And the knowledge I'm supposed to leave and take Yes I am awake Copyright © Future Poet August 2015
