Nugu GG of the Week #550 : G-reyish (part 1)

G-reyish (그레이시) is a 4 member girl group that debuted in 2017 and disbanded in 2022. The members overall were Hyeji (nugu darling 💕), Shinyoung (nugu darling 💕), Yena, and Yeso (nugu darling 💕) with one former member Hyunseo.

Copy & Pasting their group name meaning 🧐 : "Their group name was inspired by the color gray. Since gray won't lose its original color - even when mixed with other colors - the girls hope to be a group who won't lose their original color."

During their time they released 6 singles which eventually was bundled into an album towards the end of their career. The original version of some of their songs aren't available but luckily their album versions are available.

They debuted with single album "Turn Back Time" and the single Johnny Go Go. A nice Dal Shabet-esque disco track. The song was paired with a fun beach day MV perfect for the summer season.

ohh… g-reyish… where do I even start? first things first, you should know that I would’ve save you by streaming your music 24/7 and purchasing your albums if I were there (well, probably not). whatever reason it was for your disbandment, g-reyish, you were failed regardless. not by me (cause I wasn’t there at the time you were active) but by these kpop ‘fans’ who can only focus on drama instead of appreciating the music. Oh, G-reyish, you were made for the arts, not the charts. I still appreciate these masterpieces you’ve given out to us. When we were starving for actual good music. You gave us just that. it’s been years but I still come back. Every. Time.

i can’t tell if this year has been blessed for girl groups or cursed tbh

so many groups have put out amazing music and received lots of recognition, but so many groups have disbanded/lost members as well

BIGOCEAN ENM has announced the disbandment of girl group G-reyish.  The Group debuted in June 2017 with their 1st digital single “Turn Back Time.” Their last comeback was in March 2021 with their 1st mini-album “M” which featured the title track “Breath;(Blood Night).”
