Was rewatching Halloweentown and. God. It really did have a villain take over a town through the government who turned neighbor against neighbor, influenced young boys for the worst, and said he wanted to return monsters "to better times" in the past and hid behind progressive ideology(joining worlds to end seperation) when in reality it was a front for the fact that he was just upset that a female character rejected him for a human.
