Black Focused games : WIP Edition
this is a special edition of Black Focused games where I shout out games currently in development by black developers !
First we have 00000 00 0𝑥0000000 !
Last time i mentioned a game by Steven Ddungu it was Sword of Symphony. He also made 00000 00 0𝑥0000000. Similar game, similar premise, VERY DIFFERENT VIBE it's so much more experimental and all about music theory. I also love how the lack of colour does not take away how expressive this game is. Personally ? I'm a fan.
Now, we also have Tears Of Xivo !!!
If you've followed me for a minute you'd see I reblog posts about this game every other day. Do I even need to say why? It's a fantasy game where you go on quests and kick ass as you please. The worldbuilding and storytelling is beautiful and FUN !! The demo is currently out actually !! Give it a try !!
(sidenote: i really. REALLY love how colourful this game is. it's a FEAST for the eyes all around)
I can't not mention JINN HUNTER !!! You play as Bilal, a djinn hunter. I have never seen a game with a Tuareg protagonist before so when I found out about Bilal's cultural background i said TAKE MY MONEY. I really love the worldbuilding and the animation in this game. And when i say animation i mean ANIMATION you can clearly tell shounen anime was an inspo when it comes to how epic the animation is in this game. You can wishlist it on Steam !
Last but not least on this list is ZAIROO !!!!
It recently reached its goal on kickstarter too. It's a TTRPG based on african (and when i say african i mean they got almost everybody covered. whole point is that it's pan african. I'm a fan.) We already got some info on the 5 kingdoms we're going to play with and WHICH pantheon/mythology they take inspiration from. It's beautiful all the way through.
