Afterwards,u walk over 2 meet them, mainly Gamora. She's ur favorite in the team.U gush a bit & tell them of how awesome they were. Then u ask her if she could teach u 2 fight, but she refuses since she doesn't teach & she's busy.U plead until she gets annoyed & asks where ur parents are, but someone says that u dont have parents. This convinces her 2 take u with them since she had 2 defend herself when she was little.
You could barely believe your eyes. The Guardians of the Galaxy were here, on your planet, in your town. You were lucky enough to be in the crowd to witness their chase across the city, culminating in a fight that you watched in awe. They beat the criminal easily enough and handed them over to the authorities. You broke away from the crowd to rush over to them. You would never get another chance to meet your heroes.
“Hi!” you greeted them, your excitement bubbling over with a wide grin. “You guys did amazing!”
“Hey, thanks, kid,” Starlord said to you. “It was a team effort. We’re all badasses in our own right.”
“Come on, Quill. The kid doesn’t wanna talk to you,” Rocket snapped, noticing your gaze darting to your favorite out of the group. “Gamora, you’ve got a fan.”
Gamora looked over to you in confusion, but she came over to talk to you anyway.
“I just wanted to say that you’re my hero,” you gushed to her.
“Thanks,” she said awkwardly, not sure how to feel about someone looking up to her. She wasn’t exactly the best example of a role model. After all, she had a murderous past and killed and hunted criminals for a living. Why would anyone aspire to be like her?
“You’re so such an amazing fighter! Could you teach me?”
“Fight! You’re so good at it and I can’t imagine having a better teacher than you.”
“Okay. Listen, Y/N. I don’t teach people, and even if I did, I don’t have the time to teach you. I’m a little busy with the Guardians,” she said, turning away from you to head back to the Guardians’ ship.
“Wait!” you cried, hurrying after her and grabbing her hand. “Please! I’m a quick learner and I don’t mind getting kicked around! It happens all the time!”
Gamora yanked her hand away from you and gave you an annoyed look.
“Where are your parents?” she asked. “I don’t think they’d approve of what you’re asking.”
“My parents are gone,” you said, your face falling as you thought of them. “They died a few years ago. I’m all alone.”
Gamora looked to Peter, who was watching the conversation unfold. He gave her a smile, and she immediately knew what he was thinking.
“We could bring you with us,” Peter suggested. “I personally don’t think there are enough women on this ship.”
“Get out of here, Quill,” she snapped at him, and he retreated into the ship.
Gamora looked back to you, and she couldn’t deny that she saw a bit of herself in you. You were young, defenseless, with no one to help you survive. You were on your own, and if she left you here, you would probably grow up to be like her before she found the Guardians. She had been lucky to find the Guardians and rebuild her life, but you might not be so lucky, so why take the chance.”
“It’s been your dream to join your heroes on their adventures, hasn’t it?” she asked you.
You nodded enthusiastically, hope lighting up your face.
She sighed and gestured to the ship. “Come on then.”
“Oh, thank you!” you practically squealed, throwing your arms around her in a hug before running onto the ship. She followed with a soft smile on her face, glad that she had been able to save someone without a fight for once.
