Hey so I never got around to posting my own art on here. I paint miniatures for tabletop wargames, and I really enjoy the medium as a creative hobby. Anyway it's made me kind of a painting nerd.
Metal music and album artwork influence a lot of what I paint, so I thought it apt to post here. I'll be tagging these posts miniature brainrot.
My GCPS army is where I explore value, so the hue of the army is locked around blue to turquoise, with red-vermillion as a spot color. Most of the army wears black fatigues: the corporate soldiers have mass-produced outfits inappropriate for the snowy planet on which they fight.
However, these units have white fatigues, inspired by a memorable unit in The Battle of Hoth. To use cold colors would nullify the coldness of the snow, so I went with a orange-brown -> orange -> beige -> white scheme. Not a perfect white but pretty good for a casual scheme I just slapped together.
Candidly I knew these models would see a lot of play: I bought 'em because I got tired of losing. (I love my friends but the shelling shall continue until morale improves.) However, a mortar works best when it's way in the back. Therefore, I knew that the details of these would have to pop from a distance, but wouldn't call for really fine detail.
Sketching the clothes was zen fun but I particularly enjoyed painting the NMM on the metal. This is my favorite technique for NMM, what I mentally call sketch-style: no blending, just the right colors in the right places.
That's all I've got to say about these two, but please feel free to ask me any questions about my experience painting them or playing with them. Thanks for checking out my models!
It's the first day of school, but we already have to say it . . .
Please remind your older children that, as mandated reporters, we are required to report it when a student insists they are, in fact, working for any of the Gotham rogues.
This is a matter of protecting all the students in the building. No, that doesn't change if your child says that it was a joke after it's been reported. Once we've reported it, it's out of our hands. This is not a school policy, this is a matter of federal law. We are obligated to report if any children in our care have committed or are actively committing or are otherwise involved in a crime.
As a side note to all my students: why couldn't you guys wait at least a week?
You're a goon, so legally, how are you allowed to adopt? Asking for a friend. Again.

You would think that would affect things, but in fact no, the official stance of Gotham city child protective services is:
“We do not discriminate based on profession.
So long as the home is safe, the members of the home have been thoroughly screened, and there is proof that they have the capacity to handle a child, one may be eligible to become a foster parent or run a foster home.”
This quote can be found on @gotham-city-municipal-government
I had the same concerns when I was first getting my foster license and again when I married Beau since they’re on a potential villain watch list but our worries were unfounded and we’ve had no issues with fostering and adopting
i am sixteen years old and actively fighting against the stripping of transgender rights in my school district and the state of georgia
if you have any kind of platform, please spread this around
i am being actively lied to by my school district and the georgia high school association
i hate bringing my causes onto people’s social medias but we need all the help we can get
check the comments on twitter as well please
Oswald: Why didn’t you kill me? I have gone over that night 1,000 times, and it doesn’t make any sense. Why didn’t you kill me? I would’ve killed you in an instant. Answer me!
Fish: Because you’re mine. You were my umbrella boy, remember? You rubbed my feet when they were tired. And now look at you, the terror of Gotham. Everything I’ve done in my life, possibly the best thing was turning Oswald Cobblepot into… the P e n g u i n. I couldn’t destroy that.
