When I was in Wellington, a couple of weeks back, I sat outside “Graphic”, a comicbook and merchandise store, enjoying the sun.
I saw a dad and his small son walk out, dad wearing a smart, dark brown suit (this is important!), evidently having just bought a lightsaber, which the son was eagerly unpacking.
As soon as the sword was free, dad took the packaging, stuffed it into the trashcan (as you do).
Then he took the sword, took off his (again, dark brown!) suit jacket, and put it on his son, where it swished proudly around his knees, before returning the lightsaber to the young Jedi.
If I ever have children, it is my goal to make them look at me like that boy looked at his father, at least once!
