These are weird times, there’s no doubt about it. But one thing we can all be sure to need more of, is soap. I want to create a collection of 100% individual, unique soaps that smell great, look great and do great; inspired by the beauty and semi-translucent nature of gemstones. These soaps are also inspired by those little bits of soap you have at the end of your bar that are too small to use effectively, but can’t bring yourself to throw away. I am a huge advocate for recycling everything and anything, and during lockdown when we all went a little cleanliness obsessed, I devised a way of revitalising those little bits of soap into a whole new gorgeous bar.
All soaps will be unlike any other; even the other soaps in this kickstarter! Each one is utterly unique, making them perfect Christmas gifts, especially in these stressful Covid times. They look fantastic, smell yummy, and lather up fairly well. The soaps are 100g and approximately 6cm wide and 8cm tall.
My name is Scarley, I am an artist and creator who never limits herself to just one genre of art. I have made and sold seaglass pendants, cross stitch charts, and sweet wrapper art on Etsy as well as working full time. These soaps are an attempt to afford Christmas and also start something that I’m hoping will become a side business.
We hope to raise £1,100 pounds in order to fund :
raw ingredients, colours and flavours
ingredients labels and brand labelling
shipping boxes and packaging
safety assessment from a licensed chemist
moulds and equipment
accountancy for taxes
marketing
When the kickstarter is fully funded, I will be aiming to get all rewards out before Christmas (unless stated otherwise).
There are four potential stretch goals and one halloween exclusive that I have in mind, but we’ll keep those mysterious for now!
