Like her mother, Gen is curious, and like her father, compassionate. With the blood siren, genie, and cupid in her veins, she’s quite the trifecta among the immortals. Gen uses her ability to grant wishes for only a select few, as her father has taught her. Using her cupid cloaking, she listens in on mortals and immortals alike who make wishes with their hearts. Her ability to read a person’s heart, gifted from both her mother and father, tells Gen whether or not their wish is pure. If it is--and the wish meets none of the limitations listed by Cupid Creed--she will grant it.
Birthday wishes are her favorite to grant.
Gen often wears her hair in the traditional genie braid, and paints her skin with gold body glitter as a nod to her family’s heritage. She is very respectful of both cultures after being raised on her mother’s stories.
Alaska taught Gen not to rely solely on her powers. When she was fourteen, Alaska trained Gen to fight using the same techniques she learned herself; how to defend, not harm. Gen is a natural fighter, as much as she is a natural swimmer. Instead of dazing people with her voice, as her mother can, Gen’s singing has more range. It can be used as a ‘cupid’s arrow,’ to help potential lovers find one another in a crowd. At a certain pitch, it can make a man’s ears bleed. Gen likes to teach herself, her curiosity leading her to learn based on experience.
Occasionally, her curiosity has been known to get her into trouble. She is often urging her cousins on wild adventures, or to break rules they’ve been urged to follow. Gen believes in paving her own path--while still respecting her parents’ histories--and finding her own place in the world. After all, what kind of ‘place’ is there for a siren/cupid/genie kid?
