Just some more W101 brainrot and head cannons:
I've always doubted Ravenwood students would cast spells while in those small classrooms.
So I think the classrooms are for typical classrooom learning purposes (note taking, potion making, writing assignments, etc)
But the actual practice of spellcasting is done in the school towers:
On days where actual spellcasting is done, teachers will tell their students to line up and go to their tower.
And here is where they go to practice spellcasting. I think that there are "spellcasting tests" that students must do in order to pass, and move up to more powerful spells.
This is probably also where students are graded on their battling skills: "Did you blade at the right time?" "Points deducted for fizzling." "Are you using your shields wisely?" and probably your wand waving technique lol.
I think test day has two parts:
Part l is the paper test, that's done to test your knowledge. Part ll is the "spellcasting test" where you have to actually put your knowledge into action. This most likely done on the same day.
Are the two test cumulative or graded separately? Who knows!😅
I just keep imagining nervous student lined up outside the school towers waiting for their turn to go in and be judged by their teachers.
And where do Balance students go for their spellcasting tests you're probably wondering? I think Diego lets Aurther Wethersfield use the arena on those days lmao. 😅
