A Discord server I'm in had an art exchange for the holiday. For a treat this year, I received this artwork from @this-side-of-paradisee of me trick-or-treating as Betelgeuse (Beetlejuice) with their experimentsona Ringtail dressed as Sir Pentious from Hazbin Hotel. (Fitting that I dressed as the Ghost with the Most considering the comic I commissioned last year.) There's also a connection between both characters we're dressed as; they were played by Alex Brightman. (Brightman played Betelgeuse in Beetlejuice The Musical. The Musical. The Musical.)
As for what I exchanged, I commissioned Meliscellaneous Art (the server allowed me to contribute a commission) to draw for my exchange recipient @blazethedragon his experiment OC Tempo dressed as Cadence from Crypt of the NecroDancer exploring a dungeon. He's going to have to fight to the beat in order to make it out of there!
I know I’ve been doing a lot of The Gifted art lately, mostly because that story is so old at this point and redrawing my old art has always been a Thing for me. I mean, the whole reason why I wanted to rewrite it was because the old version made me cringe and I felt I could do better. HOWEVER, right before The Gifted started eating my brain, Genetic Experiment was doing the same thing, to the point where I was .seriously considering writing it in April because I felt there was a really good story in there.
While I haven’t completely stopped thinking about The Gifted like 75% of the time (mostly because it’s fun discussing things with my friends), I have allowed my muse to wander a little bit to go back to Genetic Experiment. And make art for it, because, eh, GE is ten years old this year. I don’t have that much art for it, but dang it, I’m going to redraw it!
This one actually started out as a redraw itself of this picture (which is a redraw of this one). (Funny enough, I believe me redrawing that one kickstarted me wanting to rewrite the story in 2020…but certain things happened and I never finished it, much to my regret all these years later.) But I was like why is it just Bri and Danika? It made sense back in the day, since Danika was supposed to have a bigger role than Shaylee, but Shaylee is Bri’s best friend, so I should include her as well!
But then, since I used their dresses as a base for their sailor uniform, I was like…why not just, like, make them normal? Why make them sailor guardians? Like, I get that I was redrawing something, but why? So I put them in their normal clothes to make a normal picture, and I loved it. BUT THEN I was like, well, I have three of the main characters, why not add Damien to the mix as well to make it fair? And then I realized it became the spiritual successor to this one, and I was pleased with myself.
I really like how their posing turned out. Damien is forever with his arms crossed, but that was because that pose made the most sense with how the girls were posed. I like it because I usually have them just…standing there, and here it feels like they’re being silly or something. IDK. I just really like how this turned out.

They all turned out so well that this is one of those ones that I stare at whenever I look at it, lol. I really like the designs I came up with for them (although I didn’t do anything to Damien, but whatever.) So pretty. :D
Another drawing down! This time of the illegal bio weapon, Mr. Huggie!
Mr. Huggie is a illegally bioengineered… thing that was created in top secret in the depths of the Neitherneitherland labs, thanks to the Neitherworld government unknowingly funding this project. Mr. Huggie was created to help aid in the possible take over of the Neitherworld, though thanks to certain circumstances he was released early to attack and retrieve Beetlejuice for reasons unknown to him, Lydia, and Rosemary. Another thing unbeknownst to the three, Mr. Huggie isn’t the only one to worry about in the labs…
