I didn't manage to finish my Halloween fic but I posted the first of two parts. The rest is all planned.

It's October, sometime in the 80's. Weird mischief is afoot during Paul's recording sessions at Abbey Road. Featuring guess who.

OKAY! Seeing your response I’m trying to leave this as open as possible so you can assume platonic or romantic if you like!

You move into an older house with your roommates. As you’re getting settled in you start to notice how things are off. Nothing crazy at first, a missing comb, the pile of clothes you left in the floor mysteriously finding their way into your hamper. You wouldn’t think much of it in the beginning, I mean with roommates all over the house and up at random times you can expect things to move. But then it escalates, you start to hear whispers when you know your home alone. If your listing to Spotify it’ll randomly switch to jazz. Finally it all comes to a head late one night. Your roommates have all scattered and you’re staying by yourself. Around 3 am you start to hear the whispers again but something is different this time. You feel a hand smoothing out your bed head.

“John don’t be fussing about her, just let her sleep”

“I am letting her sleep! I’m just fixing it!”

“Arthur stop fussing at him you’ll wake her.”

You can only respond one way.

“What the fuck is happening here? Am I dead? ”

So in conclusion, having the three oldest peakys haunt you would actually be the dream…. Well as long as you don’t have to hear them bickering at 3AM

You know, sometimes I regret closing my requests.

On the one hand, I do have almost 100 requests I need to fill

On the other, I get ideas like this that I really want to fucking write.

Fuck, can you imagine? You think that one ghost would be bad enough, but three? They'd constantly argue about who gets to be with you during the day and watch over you at night. They each want to spend time with you (even though they'd likely not admit it) and get easily jealous of each other.

John would definitely be the most visibly excited about you being able to see them. I think that he's also be the one who would try and touch you the most. The look of sadness whenever his hand would pass through you would almost be too much to bear. He'd quickly cover it up though and pretend like it didn't bother him.

Arthur would be slightly awkward around you. You're the first person, besides from his brothers, that he's been able to talk to in almost 100 years. He'd be a bit gruff at first but is the person who is the most visibly jealous. He often argues with John about letting you sleep at night and is very overprotective of you.

Tommy would probably be the one who talks to you the least, although that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy your company. After being stuck with only his brothers for company he enjoys the break you'd give him. You could be curled up on the sofa reading a book, not saying a word and Tommy would realise that this is what he's been missing. A person where you can just sit in silence with them and still enjoy their company.

Coat’s Prompt Roundup for October

Are you as excited for fall...oops...autumn...as I am? Here are a few prompts with autumn themes, horror, werewolves, vampires, ghosts, the supernatural, and costumes, (uh, roleplay counts as costumes, right?)

Werewolf/Omegaverse AU: Werelock-Sherlock is an Omega werewolf, John starts out not infected but at some point he is turned (maybe by Moriarty?) and becomes an Alpha were…eventual Johnlock.

Eurus shot John with an actual gun in TLD, and killed him. Any appearance by John afterwards is as a ghost. And only Sherlock can see him. If you can work in some of the plot of TFP around that, kudos. If you want to go in a different direction, that’s fine too. I especially envision that scene from TFP trailer where John is standing over a devastated Sherlock and saying ‘i know this is difficult, but you have got to keep it together’. Imagine ghost!John saying that to Sherlock.

Sherlock Holmes And His Temporary Fae Accomplice

ACD (RDJ or BBC okay, but not preferred), Holmes/Watson.

Holmes only survived Reichenbach instead of drowning along with Moriarty because he’d once saved one of the Fae folk and so they ‘owed him’, so rescued him (whether he called on them or they did it on their own is up to the author).  Now Holmes is doing the ‘tracking down Moriarty’s minions’ thing, not intending to ever go back and endanger Watson (or suffer with what he believes will be unrequited love), even once he’s done.  His fae 'friend’ actually likes Holmes, as much as the Fae can like any human, and although they’ve technically 'paid their debt’ they keep trying to 'help’ him.  All the while hinting/manipulating/matchmaking like mad to make him realize he’s not going to be happy unless and until he goes back to his Watson (who is mourning/pining his arse off back in London). It would be fun to see Holmes resist every step of the way and his Fae accomplice perhaps unable to speak plainly and just say ’he loves you, ya doofus, go home!’, but has to be indirect and hinty about it all, but Happy Ending, of course.

How about a fake relationship for Sherlock’s parents? with a trip to a fall fair! Candy apples, ferris wheel ride, John winning Sherlock a prize at the strong man thing, Sherlock winning John a prize at one of the “impossible” games (basketball, penny pitch, whatever)…Sherlock wrapping his scarf around John’s neck because of the cold, John wiping the whipped cream from Sherlock’s nose after he sips his cocoa…

Costumes and roleplay! Sherlock is supposed to be a master of disguise but we don’t really see this on the show too much. Mary on the other hand is very adept at costumes and different identities and seems to have dozens of aliases lying around. So I’d like some Johnlockary established-relationship-triad roleplay games with Mary playing many different types of characters.

I started writing this fic for Halloween 2023 and never finished it. /sigh I really hate having incomplete fics posted, so I've always felt bad about it. Kind of out of the blue, I was fiddling around trying to write a new John/Paul fic. That inspired me to go back and read over my Beatles WIPs. And I decided to post some of what I'd already written for this story. Originally I wasn't going to post any more of this fic until I finished it. But as time went on, I lost interest. UNTIL NOW. This chunk was basically already written so I thought, why not post it? I have another chunk written that needs to be worked on a little more to make it a chapter. I envision 1-2 more chapters.

I'm trying to let go of perfectionism because this is fan fic damn it.
