Ghost Collar
Animal companions die sometimes. Could be eaten by a dragon, killed by a rampaging horde, or just growing old faster than their partner. Either way, the loss of a beloved pet and companion is rough. Now, it doesn’t have to be!
A rather simple concept, any animal companion or familiar wearing this at the time of death will return as a ghost at the next dusk. While they lose many of the benefits of being an animal companion, their newfound ghostly powers more than make up for it. As an added bonus, nothing prevents
Beware that new animal companions may need some time to get used to their ghostly predecessors, and the newly minted ghost may grow jealous of the affection shown to new companions, particularly if it’s something it can no longer experience. So it seems my new apartment has a ghost. Not a person, but a pet. I’m sharing space with either a smallish dog or a very large kitty that is not quite of this world. I had a bit of a feeling but today my brother was visiting and while we were having dinner a broom was knocked over in the opposite corner to us and he asked me about it , asking if they was a cat and..yeah. Maybe this should be scary, but I don’t really mind? I just feel like I am not alone here...and it explains the overwhelming desire that I have had to put a pet bed in one particular corner when I don’t actually have a pet.

One of those rare moments of seeing the ghosts of animals is seeing your deceased dog friend sitting on the front porch like a sphinx enjoying the weather a few days ago when the sun was out and everyone is busy. A nice, unique apparition that was solid at first. That is image you want to keep in your mind forever. A image that made you smile when you see it and makes you smile whenever you look back at it.
