You know? If you think about it, slang and memes are probably different across the multiverse.

Have you see it how adults complain not understanding what teens said these days? Well now is the entire Spider-Society because despite the (probably) great population of teens the vastness of the multiverse makes for jokes and memes to transfer.

Pavitr literally needs to not only translate memes, he basically needs to do an entire background explanation to almost anyone. Perhaps with other spiders he defaults to jokes about "Fuck England" because people being angry at England seems to appear to be a very common thing across the multiverse.

Because the closeness on time periods, Peni and Margo constantly sent each other memes in "4D" technology. Miles saw one and stared at the wall for 20 minutes trying to understand what the hell he just saw.

Hobbie uses cockney slang which already means he will probably need to explain himself a lot, but if is true that he is from 70s (I don't remember if this was someone's hc or a theory) a lot of his jokes are mostly local to his area already because there is no internet, probably less if his universe is anything close to the dystopian hellscapse it is in the comics.

Noir would deadass, need multiple lingo dictionaries because being from the 40s definitely means he needs A LOT of explanations to most of anything.

Miles was a bit disappointed when he tried to show a meme to Gwen and she didn't get it, but after realizing how he barely understand memes from his other spidey friends, he felt a lot better to realize in general the sense of humour between their universes is pretty similar.

Technically Peter counts on that front as well, but he insists he doesn't understand teenage these days and lets these two to it; mostly just to let the lovebirds alone.

Miles and Gwen argue their universes are the only ones where the sense of humour is not broken and have the "Good memes alliance" which everybody else calls "they are having non-dates that they call association meetings because they are impossible."

These entire debacle started with someone saying "YEEEET" "Bro that meme is like 2 years ago" "2? Try 6" "The fuck are you talking about? That was part of my media class on memes" "DUDE YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO SAY 'YEEEZ'" And the rest is history.

Just... Gwen and Miles dating...

They're walking around NY, he's showing her all the stickers he's placed all over the city while telling her the story of each one. Eventually, they end up sticking matching stickers on top of the Statue of Liberty while swinging as spiderman and spiderghost, no one ever finds out.

Having a movie night and snuggling on the couch of his parents' apartment, they're cuddling and watching an old rom-com Gwen loves. She laughs at one of the jokes and Miles looks at her with such love and adoration in his eyes, and he just melts because —God— if he's not dating he prettiest girl in the multiverse then he doesn't know who could ever be.

Them having dinner with Miles' parents and Gwen is really nervous. I think she'd be the type of person to laugh when there's an awkward silence, so she just laughs at everything Jeff and Rio say. They're still getting used to Gwen's personality but they see how Miles smiles and beams at her and they cannot be happier their son has found someone he really loves.

OF COURSE I DO!!

Gwen and Miles would get together but it wouldn’t be that romantic or like serious in the beginning, they would hold hands and hug but it wouldn’t be that constant, once they progress more in their relationship they would start doing it more constantly.

Their dates would always be interrupted by Pavitr and Hobie cause they want to see the ROMANCE

They both seem to have strict parents so whenever there was a villain or criminal during nighttime they would be out more time than what it took to defeat the villain/criminal cause they went to go see each other but they would always say that “that villain was very hard to defeat”

Gwen ended up keeping the hairstyle and when her hair on her right side started getting to long she cut it, turns out that when you fall in love with the guy that literally ripped your hair out, you just keep it

Now that Gwen is now Miles’ life again, he draws her much more since he sometimes just asks her to stay still and draws her in that EXACT POSE IN THAT EXACT MOMENT

Miguel would avoid pairing those two up for any missions cause “they’re gonna mess around and cause chaos” which ends up with them literally negotiating with the other spider people so they can go on missions together behind Miguel’s back

Gwen would a 100% ask Miles if he'd still love her if she were a worm and he'd a 100% say no just to mess with her.

Currently on the verge of tears because I just can't stop thinking about how Ghostflower's first kiss is probably so awkward and full of smiles and giggles and trembling hands that don't know where to be.

Like Gwen is obviously the one that initiates the first kiss, let's be honest.

They'd be hanging out in the rooftop of a building and she'd have to go back home for some emergency, so she says goodbye and they hug, she walks towards her portal and then before Miles can react she's kissing him deeply before quickly putting her mask back on and running through the portal, leaving a dumbfounded Miles standing there, trying to understand what just happened.

They stop talking for like a week after that, too busy with their own stuff, but they still lay in bed looking at their watches, wondering if going to the other's universe at 3:28am would be a good idea.

The first time they actually kiss without running from each other they're in Miles' room, just joking around and mocking each other. Gwen is punching him as a joke and Miles acts all offended, he then plops himself down on Gwen and hugs her so she stops, they stop laughing for a moment and just look at each other's eyes, big smiles painted on both of their faces.

Miles looks at Gwen's lips and she does too, the proximity making their stomachs overflow with butterflies.

Both go in for the kiss, and boy is it awkward.

They are both trembling with excitement, their smiles make it kind of difficult to kiss properly, Miles turns his head to one side and Gwen does too so they're just moving their faces trying to find a position that's not making their necks hurt like hell.

Eventually Miles let's go of Gwen and his hands are on both side of her body on the bed, though she doesn't know what to do with hers. Hesitantly, she puts them around his neck and if you could see how shaky her hands were you'd be considering calling an ambulance. Miles puts one of his hands on her waist, his touch so soft and delicate as if he held her harder she'd disappear just like she did years before.

Anyways, it almost turns into a full on make-out session if it weren't for their spidey-senses alerting them that Rio was just about to enter the room and they were each on the opposite extremes of the room in seconds, really. Sometimes being Spiderman and Spiderwoman have their perks.

Rio comes in and asks them if they want some pizza or something and they're just laughing and telling her they're fine with the biggest smile and their face as red as a tomato, both avoiding each other's gaze.

When she leaves they burst out laughing and cover their faces in embarrassment. It takes them a while to calm down, but when they finally look at each other they start laughing again. They stay like that until their stomachs and cheeks are hurting.

Quick drabble about what I think they talked about during that scene, to make up for the delay of the long fanfic:

"You know-" Gwen began, looking at the sunset before them "I've seen my universe's sunset a million times..."

Miles turned towards her, her lips curled into a small smile, her shoulders back and relaxed. Her blue eyes shone like diamonds against the bright sunrays.

She looked ethereal, and Miles tried to store her image in his memory forever. After two years of longing; after two years of endless nights looking at the window, hoping she would come through it, she was finally here. Beside him.

He wanted to pinch himself, though he was afraid if he did it it would actually be a dream.

When she spoke up again his eyes trailed up, and he realize he'd been watching her new suit. The changes were subtle, but they were there.

"...but I don't think I've ever seen one as beautiful as this one" she turned to him and Miles swore his heart skipped a beat. The warmth colors contrasted with her pale skin, and the pink at the ends of her hair looked too vivid, rather than the washed out pink it looked like when she arrived to his room.

He was sure this was what Gwen was made for. To be adored, to be admired. To be basking in the sunlight and warmth of his New York. He doubted anyone else's universe (or anyone else, for that matter) could appreciate her the way she was intended to.

"I don't think I've ever seen any as beautiful as this one either" he mumbled, getting lost in the deep blue of the ocean that her eyes held. He was sure that if he could, he would've drowned in them a long, long time ago.

Gwen laughed confused, before realizing what he meant "Oh" a shy chuckle escaped her lips and she looked away of what she told herself was embarrassment. Though, between me and you, it was more because she did not trust her voice to not croak if she told him he looked very handsome too.

And while words may have not escaped her lips to show her gratitude, her hand trailed just a bit closer to Miles. As if to say "It's okay, I'm never leaving you".

She knew that was a lie, but she let herself daydream and enjoy the last bit of sunlight covering the rooftops of New York. So she hid the pang she felt in her heart and instead relished on the quiet breath of Miles next to her and the sound of her heartbeat, and how it beat for the guy she loves.
