Random concepts and ideas for pre-ODIN teen Walker brothers:
→ Riding in trolley carts and feeling the wind of the coast. The ride is bumpy but the air is filled with lighthearted laughter. Might get yelled at by the owner of the store, but they're making memories here.
→ Nursing small bruises after trying to learn how to use a skateboard. It was Hesh's idea to try out learning a few new moves, he dragged his lil bro into skating and got into a little incident. Constantly hushed Logan but tended to the scrapes with tender care.
→ evening walks by the boardwalk, smelling the salty air and listening to Elias's stories. He likes to talk about his experiences in the army, training by the beach, or how he first saw Mama Walker at a boardwalk carnival.
→ morning jogs with dad by the beach and taking breaks to admire the sunrise and its reflection.
→ keeping little silly secrets from Elias like injuries while outside or sneaking out. At least Logan is a quiet boy, but it doesn't stop Hesh from stifling his giggles and shushing him.
→ finding the prettiest shells in the sand, or the smoothest stones to skip on the water. Hesh was good at skipping stones far, Logan was good at finding the smoothest and flattest stones.
→ catching that stupid cicada outside the window.
→ Logan borrowing (stealing) Hesh's stuff and getting away with it. Hesh thought he lost his stuff and stopped mourning long ago, only to find them in Logan's possession.
→ swimming in lakes or in the beach without telling dad
→ lying out to sunbathe in the sun to dry up their wet hair so Elias won't even suspect a thing
→ Elias later finds out anyway.
→ Going on road trips in dad's truck and singing along to the songs on the radio. Screaming out the lyrics they know by heart as Elias chuckles, then hums along with his boys.
→ competitions to climb the tallest tree, judged by Elias. Logan is slower but Hesh lets him win most of the time.
→ Logan getting Hesh to win something he couldn't, may it be an arcade or a videogame level. Hesh does his best just so he could make Logan smile.
→ digging through boxes from Elias's youth, only to find old polaroids of Mama Walker when she dated Elias, all of the pictures in pristine condition and safely filed in a picture book.
→ There are also some old videotapes of the Walker boys as kids. Mama Walker liked to ask them, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
→ Rewatching the videos, they miss the future they could've had.
→ The brothers going through training by Elias, and once they're out of whatever obstacle course set up, he drives them back home and gets them a takeout treat of their choice.
→ The boys enjoy their snacks on the road, and fall asleep in the truck. When they wake up, they're home.
