In a forest full of fairies and wonder, it'd come to no surprise that a sense of happiness filled the air wherever the Fairy King had gone. Gloxinia was flying through the trees, allowing his majestic wings to flutter behind him, looking for many little fairies as they hid from him.
His favorite game to play, hide and seek; Especially as he'd come across so many that were terrible at keeping quiet! They'd either just giggle to themselves or speak to one another; telling each other 'Keep quiet! He might hear us!'
"Caught you!" He'd speak as he would sneak up on them, giving them a sudden fright before putting their heads down at the idea of being found already.
"Aww man." "Boo!" "Hey lets go find the others!" They'd all speak in union before floating off.
The fairy king would cross his arms over his bare chest with a chuckle towards the fairies, watching as they'd fly off to play their own games. "Fairy king!!" Gloxinia was quick to turn to a few little pixies surrounding him with frightened and confused looks. "We felt something creeping around in the forest at the waterfall! It was a weird presence!!"
"Really?" He seemed to almost laugh it off and pat them all on the head, "Don't worry, I'll take care of it." He assured before flying off through the forest. It couldn't be that bad, likely a demon. He can handle that.
Well, at the time he wasn't expecting to have met a fairy like them.
After some time, Gloxinia felt a suspicion creeping up his back. There wasn't a sign of anything strange lurking through the trees the longer he searched.
That's when he heard the smallest sounds of something moving towards the ground, walking slowly and bushes rustled. As soon as rushed to the area, it was just a fairy.
"What are you doing here?" Gloxinia asked confused but didn't get an answer from the certain fairy as they turned to him, their expression nothing he's seen before on a fairy. It was a poker face... They almost looked like they were shocked or confused by his sudden appearance. He didn't waste any time, "You haven't seen any demons or anything strange around here, right?"
"no," they spoke, their voice timid and almost on edge.
it felt like was a waste, Gloxinia didn't see anything odd going on, but there was something on his mind. This fairy, he's never seen before, didn't seem like they were much of a social person. He couldn't explain why, but they brought a sudden curiosity to him. "What's your name?" He asked, slowly levitating closer to the ground where they stood and sitting in the air with his wings fluttering behind him.
"(Y/N)." they spoke in a quiet voice.
"Well, I'm sure you already know who I am, Gloxinia, king of the fairies." He spoke, coming off with a light heartedness.
The fairy nodded their head, fiddling around with the edge of their clothes awkwardly before looking away, ".. well, I'm gonna go." They immediately turned to leave.
"How come?"
"I shouldn't be here."
Gloxinia seemed surprised by that answer, whatever did they mean? When he read their heart.. he read a sense of self guilt for being there.. All the fairies are welcomed in the forest. Before he could ask, he watched from behind, their wings made a quick and sudden flutter which made the buzzing sound similar to a bee. (Y/N)'s wings had a unique small shape, nothing he's seen before.. it was a little odd, their wings were much smaller than the average size. Often fairies, for their small size, had wings that were as large as them, this fairies wings didn't even stretch out to cover their back.
"That's a unique set of wings." He commented, pointing it out to them. They seemed to stop in their tracks, their back turned. They didn't answer at first; they didn't want to answer.
"..thanks."
"If it's fine to ask, what are you doing out here by yourself?" He levitated beside them, his arms crossed over his bare chest as he took a closer look at their face.
"..I'm walking through the forest..?" They seemed confused by his question.
"Why not just fly?"
(Y/N) seemed hurt by the question almost, looking down awkwardly as their wings made another buzzing sound of a bee for a slight moment. ".. I can't fly."
Gloxinia definitely wasn't expecting that for an answer, "what?"
"My wings are too weak to carry me no more than like three feet above the ground."
He thought about their words, pondering on it. "Is that why you're out here? By yourself?"
They were quiet, staring at the ground. "I'm an outcast compared to all those fairies. I mean, what's a fairy if they can't fly? They're just.." (Y/N) stopped their words, their hand, almost unconsciously, reached back as their fingers were touching the area where the wings sprout of their back.
Gloxinia thought about it for a moment, there didn't seem to be any sign of actual guilt or anger to signifying they were lying.. but when he read their hearts, there was sign of self hatred, insecurity and envy.. Actually, he felt a feeling of jealousy begin to grow as they stared at his own wings..
"how long have you been like this?"
"a few hundred years.. why?"
He didn't give a answer to your words, thinking for a moment. Although he couldn't help them with how they thought about the idea, but.. "why don't you join the other fairies and me? We're playing a few games."
He watched as their expression almost seemed surprised by the sudden invitation, "didn't you hear me..? I'm an outcast. I can't fly-"
"So?" He cut off their words, he had a almost disappointed look to how they were thinking but his expression still soft, tilting his head withal a little smile. "That doesn't stop you from joining in some fun." Their eyes lit up slowly, which made him smile. He watched as their eyes lit up slowly for a moment, which made him smile. It was like they suddenly got a spark of happiness, something they'd never expect.
(Y/N) didn't say anything, looking down at the ground almost pondering on what to do.
Gloxinia smiled faintly at the expression they made, that spark of happiness almost made him chuckle out loud. They seemed to be confused, and he couldn't blame them. He let them think in silence for a few seconds before speaking.
"do you think, I'll ever get the chance to feel like a real fairy?"
He laughed off their question for a moment, waving his hand in defense to show he didn't mean any offense as they looked surprised and almost offended by the way he responded.
"Well.. wings or not, you're still a fairy by blood which is enough in my book. Now, are you gonna take my hand to join me in a game of tag or I'm gonna have to drag you myself, little flower?" He spoke as he held his hand out in invitation to them again with a grin.
If you write for every character in seven deadly sins can I request Gloxinia x fem reader fluff Headcanons. If you don’t write for him you can ignore this😌
Gloxinia had a rough time readjusting to the fairy forest.
It had been, what, 3,000 years?
Honestly, he had lost count.
Gerheade helped him as much as she could, but there is only so much one can do.
Gloxinia was closed off, ashamed of his past and his failures as previous king.
Knowing this, Gerheade tried to console her brother.
He never wanted to talk about it.
So instead, she phoned a friend for help.
You.
You had a way of opening people up without actually prying them or forcing them.
You were very welcoming, kind, respectful, and overall just a good person.
Not to mention good-looking.
Gloxinia couldn't fight the blush when he first saw you.
Slowly, but surely, he opened up.
He never went into specific details and he never said more than a few sentences, bit it was progress.
Your company calmed him.
The two of you could just be sitting there in silence, but it wouldn't be awkward.
One day, all the built up anger, guilt, and resentment became too much and he snapped.
Luckily, you were there to calm him down.
When you held him in your arms as he cried, you looked at you with your non-judgmental, loving stare and he feel hard.
Gloxinia made a lot of mistakes in life he learned from.
If he had checked to see if his sister was alive, maybe things would he different and he wouldn't have gone crazy.
He learned to never wait for something you want. You need to grab it yourself.
So he confessed his feelings to you.
You were ecstatic.
Of course you love him!!!
You two were such a fluffy couple.
Cuddles and kisses for days.
Feelings jams were a constant. They helped get all that nasty, ugly feelings out so they don't get bigger with hiding them.
You had a good shoulder to cry on.
And so did he.
He is a sweetheart.
Spoiling you with gifts and affection.
Taking care of you.
And just loving you.
And you did the same for him.
You didn't care what past Gloxinia did in the past.
This is who he is now, and as long as he is happy, you are happy.
Hi! I saw you did a Gloxinia x Giant reader and I was hoping you could make another one?? Like their relationship is similar to King x Diane in a way? Just general headcanons or a scenario I'm not really sure what I want specifically since I don't see a lot of Gloxinia x Giant reader. Thanks a bunch!
Gloxinia x Giant!Reader headcannons
Omg yesss I can!!!! Back when I was like into sds a ton I wanted to write tons of giant reader with Gloxinia!!(personally I’m not great with the conflict aspects of sds so I tend to just void the holy war so I hope you don’t mind😭) thank you so much for requesting!!!! I know when I read Gloxinia x reader they didn’t have much of that!(pls if you ever want more of Gloxinia and giant reader let me know and request again!!! I genuinely love their dynamic and that style I’m not to sure why I stoped writing for them😭😭)
If I get an idea for a scenario of Giant reader and Gloxinia I’ll definitely write it and post it though!! I’ll think and if I come up with any for sure will write it cause they’re super fun to write for!!
I’ve also never like shared just my headcannons so it may not be the best simply because I’m not sure how to phrase it!!
Headcannons-
⚠️Light trigger warning?⚠️ reader and Gloxinia raising a fairy baby but in my head they adopted! It’s in the last 3 points that have it!!
So the two of you probably met when you like stumbled near the forest or something and he just found you like super cute!
He tends to sit like in the pocket of your shirt and it makes him feel so powerful cause he can see everything!!
Like I said I don’t really love the idea of the holy war so the two of you get to live happily!!
Gloxinia probably spends a lot of his time outside of the forest after meeting you because your a bit nervous about damaging the root system of the tree so he is very quick to agree with you when you ask if he wants to go on a walk through like Feilds!!
If your friends with like Diane and King and like actually travel with the seven deadly sins I feel like Gloxinia would try for like a few seconds to convince you to stay but once he realizes your set on going he definitely is ready to retire from being king and follow you around!
He will grumble about how he doesn’t want to follow but than whenever you look at him he’s like nvm besties🥰I do want to!!
He tries to argue with a few people sometimes mainly king they get into light bickering matches and Gloxinia will like fly up to your shoulder with his arms crossed 😭
I think that he definitely will try to sleep like in both your hands put together whenever he wants a nap or something😭 like he will just like lay down(probably if your shirt doesn’t have pockets!)
I think maybe his sister takes over after he steps down from king and maybe the two of you settle down in a cute little meadow, and raise like one fairy baby!
The baby is a girl and she’s 10/10 super cute and will follow Gloxinia around chest puffed out as they do chores together😭😭
Overall it’s super cute and wholesome!!! 10/10 relationship that I will have to think about more because I haven’t even watched it in so long!!
Now on a completely unrelated note, I want to start writing for MysticMessenger so if anyone wants something specific or just headcannons from that pls let me know! I love doing requests so much!!
Okay this is my first oneshot after my break. I hope you all like it.

"Y/n Pleaseeeeee!” “No”, the redhead in front of you pouted as you only looked away from him. “Come on, I might get held back a year if I don't pass this test, tell them Drole”, there was a big test coming up and the teachers said this was going on your grade.
Gloxinia wasn't really good at tests; he mostly had a bad score. So he knew he had to pass this one or his life was ruined. So now he is here begging for you to help him, as you were to good friends.
You were an okay student, your grades weren't the best but enough for you to pass the year. “Come on Y/n i’ll do anything!” “You-Fine, fine, fine be at my house at five, okay crybaby”. “Oh thank you, thank you”, Gloxinia was always thankful for you.
This was one of the reasons why he was in love with you. Sense you both were kids you've both been at each other's side. Now here he was trying to figure out what to wear to impress you.
It was five o clock as he was now knocking on your door. You opened the door letting the red head in. “So Y/n where are your parents?” “Oh they are out of town till next week” “Oh~Y/n i thought that we were just going to study~” “Shut up, do you have your notebooks?”.
This was the most difficult thing you've ever done. Gloxinia, he's cool you both get along very well but who knew he was this difficult to get to focus. “Come on Gloxinia you need to focus” “But who knew your bed was sooo soft” “Then why beg for my help only to mess around” “But Y/n its hard” “Then let's not make it hard”.
Gloxinia was now sitting down eating a sandwich as this was his ‘reward’ for listening to you. “Sorry just for the sandwich but that's all I can give to guests” “It's fine, i’ve never tasted a sandwich this good before” “Thank you, so how is Gerhead?” “She's fine, I think shes out with some friends” “And what have you and Drole been up to” “Nothing just hanging around Zeldris and the others, and you Y/n” “Just been with Elizabeth and her boyfriends friends” “Thats nice, you know me, you, and Drole should hang out this week after school tomorrow” “You know i would love to but i already made plans with the others” “Oh okay” “But hey at least me and you are hanging out right now” “yeah”.
An awkward silence came in as Gloxinia just sat there, he missed hanging out with you like going to the mall, park, arcade, and pulling pranks on the teachers. “Y/n i miss you” “Why were we in the same school, class, dude you're sitting next to me” “No i miss when it was just me and you i want that back”. You looked at him as you can see he was upset, you felt that Gloxinia had deeper feelings for you but you wanted more signs, and you knew this was a sign. ‘This was supposed to be a night of studying’, you leaned closer to Gloxinia as you kissed his lips. Gloxinia was shocked for a second only to pull you closer, You and Gloxinia sat there having a full on make out session for you to only pull away. “Y/n-” “We have to be studying” “But then why-” “We finish up you get more okay”. Gloxinia only nodded with a smile as he followed you in your room.
Next day:
“Y/nnnnnn!”, you turned around seeing the redhead in front of you. “Look, look”, you shall hold the paper he held in his hands. “You passed?” “Yep with a good score even the teacher was impressed, thank you”, he hugged you tightly as he smiled. “Your welcome” “So me and Drole are going to this diner right now you sure you don’t wanna-” “Y/n!”. You shall Elaine coming up to you, “Y/n are you coming with everyone to my place” “You know what Elaine i already made plans but i'll text you later” “Alright Y/n text you later” “Don't let Ban or Meliodas drink too much”. You said as Elaine left you there with the redhead boy, “Yeah I'll go”. Gloxinia smiled as he took your hand as he led to where Drole was waiting for him. Then you three left for the diner.
Hii do you write for Gloxinia from seven deadly sins? If you do can I get general fluff Headcanons with a fem s/o if not then you can ignore me 🤓he’s just so underrated 😌
I am a firm believer that this man is warm. Like, he parades around without a shirt, so his body temperature must be high enough to allow for that. This opens various opportunities to cling to him in cold weather, which he always welcomes. He isn’t super strong and he may not be able to sustain both your body weight and his, but he’ll sure as hell try, goddamn it.
However, if you press your cold hands to his back out of nowhere, I am absolutely positive that he will shriek and jerk away, calling you “fucker” before he realizes that it’s you. Once he does, he’s holding your hands tightly, apologizing profusely while you laugh and assure him that it’s okay.
Since he kept himself swaddled in Basquias for a decent portion of the anime, I do believe that he isn’t super fond of just anyone touching him. They would have to be important to him. That being said, he’s absolutely okay with showing affection to you and allowing you to reciprocate. He likes skimming his fingers over your forehead when you’re stressed, smoothing out the worry lines and prompting you to let him help out with whatever’s bothering you. If you carefully trace your fingers around the areas where his wings meet his back, he’ll melt. Bonus points if you take your time slowly placing a trail of kisses down the column of his spine between his wings. Sis, he’ll flush such a vivid shade of red that it will rival the color of his hair.
It’s a bit difficult to cuddle with him due to his wings… you know… existing, so you both opt for positions that are comfortable for both you and his wings. He doesn’t really have a preference for who holds who, so long as he gets to touch you. If you want to lay your head on his lap, cool! If you want him to lay on top of you while you card your fingers through his hair, awesome! If you want to rest your ear against his chest and feel his heartbeat dance against your temple, then that’s just as great.
Please play with his hair. He takes great pride in maintaining his hair, as evident by its healthy shine and vibrant scarlet hue, so it took some time for him to accept letting someone else toy with it. Now, he can’t think of anything more soothing than the sensation of your fingers skillfully winding their way through his silky locks and massaging his scalp. He’ll seek you out whenever his duties start to pile up or he has a headache, mumbling about his problems before leaving the annoying throbbing of his cranium in your capable hands. Even when he doesn’t feel the urge to have you play with his hair, he rarely denies you when you insist on trying out different hairstyles on him. The only time he’ll ever swat your hands away is when you’re making yourself mustaches out of his hair while he’s delivering important instructions to people.
You’re utterly fascinated with his wings, and Gloxinia often catches you staring while he’s stretched out across the room reading. A small smile curves his lips as he returns his gaze to the text. He slowly lifts his wings to stretch them, allowing the morning sunlight to collide with them in such a way that casts a kaleidoscope of color on the wall behind him. Your gasp of delight is all it takes to make his day.
He often challenges you to games of hide and seek in the forest. You know you’re at a disadvantage since he has a better grasp on the terrain, but you also know you’ll be in for an onslaught of teasing and poking if you back down. It never matters, though. You’ve never beaten him. Despite his triumphant, borderline mocking laughter as he comes fluttering from his hiding place, he always makes a point to erase your scowl of defeat by sprinkling an array of ticklish kisses upon your face until you’re fighting back a smile.
“What’s that… um, twenty-three wins for me and… twenty-three losses for you?”
“You’re cancelled.”
During one of his bad days, you snuck in while he was taking a nap, outlined his body with various fruits you had collected, threw a blanket over him, and prayed. Unbeknownst to you, he had been awake the moment you set foot in the room, but it wasn’t until a tiny giggle slipped through his lips that you were made aware. Now that his cover was blown, it wasn’t long before the remainder of his self-control shattered and he dissolved into a fountain of hysterical cackles that vibrated his whole body and had him clutching at his sides. It’s safe to say that his dismal mood dissipated, thanks to you.
He can’t cook or bake for shit. You once walked in on him tossing ingredients into a bowl with reckless abandon, and when you inquired about it, he looked you dead in the eye and told you, “You don’t need a recipe for cornbread. You measure that shit with your heart.” And you’re just there, concerned, like “No, you really don’t.” Please teach him. I’m begging you.
If you don’t know how, then he’ll enjoy learning how to cook alongside you. Your time in the kitchen will be full of trial and error, and there will never be an occasion where one of you doesn’t fling some kind of food item at the other. You’ll literally bring Gerheade a parfait that you and Gloxinia tried concocting together, and she’ll take one look at your flour-dusted hair and the fucking tomato paste splattered on Gloxinia’s shoulder before sighing in defeat.
He’ll 100% ask you to tie his hair up for him before you guys head to the kitchen. He could do it himself, but he prefers feeling your fingers gently combing through his hair as you pull it back into a ponytail. Plus, trying to deal with your own hair is a pain, especially if it’s as long and thick as his. His arms get tired trying to corral his hair into a presentable style, but he’d rather die than admit that to you.
While we’re on the topic of hair, he adores playing with yours, regardless of how short it is. If it’s too short to weave into braids, then he’ll be sticking clips and barrettes into your hair at random and pulling small sections into tiny ponytails. You’ll be borderline fed up with his antics, but he’ll be cracking up like it’s the funniest thing he’s ever seen. If your hair is on the longer side, then good fucking luck.
Okay, but all jokes aside, if you ask him to do your hair for an event, he’ll be so focused. Playtime is over. According to him, there is absolutely no one more capable of fulfilling this task. He’ll ask you every two minutes if he’s hurting you, but really, there’s no reason to. His nimble hands section off your hair with immense precision and care, his fingers adept as they draw specific strands every which way, threading together the most intricate and magnificent hairstyle you’ve ever seen.
On another note, he’d definitely be the perfect boyfriend to talk shit with. You could kick open his door like, “Guess what the fuck I heard about this bitch today!” And you’ll hear footsteps thundering toward you from down the hall before he skids into the room like, “Tell me everything. Don’t leave out any details. I’ll make tea immediately.”
Warning: Spoilers! If you haven't seen through season 5 of the anime, you have been warned!
It could have been fine. This could have all been fine. I would have gladly stood against any other Commandments. It just had to be them.
Not long ago, I was with Ban, King, and Elaine coming from the Fairy King's Forest to check out this Vaizel Fighting Festival, even though we suspected a trap. I had hoped when we left that Meliodas and the others would have been attracted to the flyers too because despite loving getting to go back home to the forest, I missed our friends. When all our once-separated groups came back together at the center of the huge maze, I had a brief moment of reunion with Meliodas, the only one of my current friends who remembered my true identity from all those years ago. But it was at that moment, after embracing him and this Elizabeth who didn't fully remember me, that I noticed what we were up against.
"This is your one chance to turn back," the Captain said to the whole crowd. "They're with the Ten Commandments."
"You know I wouldn't back down from a fight like this," I told him with a chuckle, but then faltered as I turned and took in our foes.
I felt the presence above me; the two extremely powerful forces on the stone platform were very familiar, albeit darkened and twisted. Though the giant had his face covered, Diane and her other giant friend's reactions confirmed to me it was Drole. The realization made a prayer echo in my brain that the other wasn't who I knew it must be. I noticed King and Elaine staring shocked at the two forms and flew up to join them and get a better look. That was a mistake.
Meliodas had already said the two were with the Ten Commandments, but now that I saw them for certain it was a bitter punch in the gut.
I clenched my fists in rage. How could he? After all we'd been through, after how much loyalty we held for him...How could he? My fury overwhelmed my pain, and I was glad that it ensured I didn't cry. Though the demon hadn't really noticed me yet, I would rather die than have him see what I really felt right now. I couldn't show such a traitor how much I loved him. I focused on a patch of dirt on my pants, cut loose and baggy for movement, like his.
I didn't want to see his face, couldn't acknowledge this harsh truth--but as the figure slowly unraveled his cocoon of vines to slaughter the maze's other inhabitants, King was piecing things together. Drole formed an arena around us with his earthen magic, like a giant pair of hands for us to dance on the fingertips. How poetic.
"No way," King gasped. "The magical power coming off that monster feels like it's from the fairy race. Not only that, it's unbelievably strong." His sister seemed to be in shock beside us watching the vines unfold.
"It is," I growled, staying back behind the two and biting back my glare. "At least, it was a fairy."
My comrade was about to question me, but the traitor in question summoned his weapon by name and caught his attention. "Wait...Spirit Spear Basquias was bestowed upon the original fairy king by the sacred tree," the grizzly sin gaped. It was then that the Commandment's full body was revealed, his wings flickering rainbows in the moonlight, and King was desperate with questions. "But that's impossible, it can't be...F-First Fairy King Gloxinia?"
"That's a name I haven't heard in ages."
His voice... it was as smooth and gentle as I remembered it, and I had to force myself to focus on his obvious betrayal. "I'm with the Ten Commandments now, called Gloxinia of Repose."
King started to continue his questions, flying a bit closer to Gloxinia and Drole. The elder fairy king was brushing him off, and before my friend could provoke him, my wings propelled me forward and past the younger fairy.
"Repose?" I yelled. "Repose, is it? Is that what they call you now after what you did?"
Meliodas called up to me, "Y/n, you don't have to do this! You can leave, I won't let them follow you." He knew how much this would hurt me. He knew, and he didn't tell me they'd become Commandments, knowing I would lose it.
Gloxinia had only just noticed me and was staring at me with wide eyes. I was enraged, not taking my eyes off of him when I responded to the Captain. "No. No, Meliodas. You of all people know damn well I can't run away from this."
Every muscle in my body was clenched, even my wings somehow felt tense. Gloxinia just gazed at me silently, eyes wide as if he'd seen a ghost. I could hear below me the questions from the other Sins and their friends, "Captain, what does she mean?" "Captain, what's going on?" "Sir Meliodas, does Lady Y/n know them too?" But he didn't answer, and I respected him for it.
"Repose?" I said again, bitterly. "Gloxinia of Repose. Not, 'Gloxinia the runaway king,' or 'Gloxinia who damned his people'? I would think Repose is the last thing you had the last time we met."
The first fairy king finally seemed to recompose himself a little. "Yes, the Demon King does have quite an...ironic, sense of humor. It was not my choice the curse I was given, Y/n."
"Then was it also not your choice to abandon us?" I hissed. I knew the other two fairies had descended back to the ground, but I honestly wasn't sure if I needed this conversation to be private or to rip open the wound and show the world his sins. My former lover chose for me.
"Now is not the time to discuss that day," Gloxinia replied smoothly. "I have a fighting festival to run and souls to collect."
A scream ripped through my clenched teeth as I dove for him. How dare this traitorous bastard blow me off-- But Drole waved a hand, and a pillar of rock shot out of the stone monument to shove me back to the ground with my friends. It almost hurt more that someone who was once such a friend was siding with my traitorous lover.
"You bastard!" I shrieked. I started to jump up to the skies again, but two strong sets of arms latched onto my own. Turning, Ban gave me a nervous smirk, and Meliodas just shook his head firmly. I didn't stop struggling, I couldn't, until Gloxinia nearly killed Escanor and revived him in front of us. All of us collectively had rushed to the Lion Sin's side, and of its own accord my voice raged up to the Commandments again.
"Do you enjoy taunting me, Gloxinia?" My yelling went unnoticed, despite Meliodas and Ban trying to hush me, worrying the Commandment would react the same way and I would suffer worse than Escanor. I didn't care. "Do you enjoy seeing me suffer over and over again?"
All the betrayal I felt, all the rage had surfaced when I saw his face and found out that not only was Gloxinia still alive, but he had turned against us all. It took so much willpower to force my adrenaline down so that I could focus on the incoming battle, and the only real way I could stop myself was resolving to fight Gloxinia when I'd reached the end.
"When we get through this," I whispered hoarsely to Meliodas. "I'm going after him. I have to know."
"I know. I didn't expect anything different from you."
In seconds, Drole summoned stone platforms into the sky at their level, shuffling our groups around and pairing everyone up. I could see Ban and Meliodas nearby, Elaine and Elizabeth meeting formally for the first time, King trying to get Diane to remember him... Wait.
I was alone.
"What is this, some kind of cruel joke, Drole?" I yelled.
Gloxinia stopped explaining the rules for a moment, turning with a dark smirk towards me. "Actually, little Rhododendron, you will not be partaking in this fight festival." The old pet name sent an icy shiver down my spine, and boiling hate in my gut.
"Don't you dare start playing sweet with me. You know I can fight."
"Fine, if flattery isn't what you want--Spirit Spear Basquias, Tenth Configuration: Emerald Octo!" Gloxinia had had enough, one slender arm aimed out for my platform and barely giving me time to dodge his attack. Basquias formed its vines again, wickedly beautiful and alive. They were just like the nettles atop the Sacred Tree I once protected by Gloxinia's side, sending me back to that glorious and happy era for half a second. But that was a long time ago.
The vines lashed out in droves, some of the thorns knicking my wings and limbs in my attempts to dodge around them. I could hear the others shouting for me, some cheering and some worrying, and did my best with my magic power and dagger to fend off the vines. It didn't take long though before one of them wrapped around my arm, and then another my leg, and soon I was completely encapsulated in the thorny vines. I screamed as brambles tore through my short top, sinking into the flesh of my back and stomach. Tears finally slipped from my clenched eyes from the number of punctures, and I growled to fight them back as the vines slowly brought me to Drole and Gloxinia's platform.
"Y/N!" I heard the others scream. King, Elaine, and Elizabeth were shrieking, Ban preparing for a fight beside his shouting captain.
"Gloxinia, you put her back!" Meliodas ordered. "You have no right to any of this! Leave her be!"
"On the contrary dear Meliodas, I have every right," Gloxinia chuckled smoothly. He glided up to me, hovering horizontally and dragging a cool finger along my jaw. "She was once my queen, or have you forgotten?"
"What?" I heard King gasp. The girls sounded in disbelief, Ban and the holy knights with us shouting that the demon fairy was lying. I jerked my head away from his touch, earning myself a taunting smirk and "tsk" noise.
"He isn't lying," Meliodas said, just loud enough for our comrades to hear. Gasps echoed across the arena, and Gloxinia giggled, rolling over to his back to peer at me.
"That was a long time ago, Gloxinia. You disappeared from that and gave me three thousand years to mourn."
Gloxinia faltered and quickly turned away from me to hide it, frowning with a wave of his hand. "Alright, that's enough from you for now. We'll discuss this later, Y/n." And just like that, Basquias began crawling up, covering my face too until I was sealed in Sacred Tree vines. Whether it was the magic, the pheromones of the plant, or sheer overexertion, I blacked out.
------------------------------
When I awoke, I was laid out on a pile of vegetation, a couple of thorny vines still attached to my torso. I stiffened as I remembered where I last was, trying to sense if there were others around me. To my dismay, there were voices behind me. One of them was almost similar to Meliodas, but I knew it wasn't him. I stayed still to try and assess the situation.
"What are we supposed to do with this, keep it as a pet?" the voice snarled. I could sense he was talking about me, reading his heart. He was irritated by my presence, some of the others even disgusted. Well, the feeling was mutual.
"I simply have things I need to discuss with her, Zeldris. And I wasn't about to let Meliodas keep her fighting on the losing side anyway." Gloxinia. I fought the temptation to grimace as the feelings of betrayal rose up again. His voice paused, and I knew he was now aware I was awake. This heart-reading fairy ability really was a double-edged sword. "At any rate, she isn't human, so I'd rather the others didn't eat her."
"Well Melascula was probably the only one who would've tried to eat a fairy's soul in front of you, but that Fox Sin did away with her loud mouth," a female demon chuckled. So Ban killed one of them...
Another scoffed. "She had it coming. If he hadn't tried to interrupt me killing me Meliodas, I would've let the bastard walk away free for getting rid of her."
All the air left my lungs, and I almost gasped. They killed Meliodas. I shot upright, trying to free myself from Basquias's grip. There were over half a dozen Commandments around me, and I would surely be outmatched if I could escape this entanglement, but after that blow, I didn't care. Brittania had lost its biggest hope, so I would damn well be sure to claw his killers to the best of my ability before I went down too.
"Well, Gloxinia, your toy's awake," Zeldris shrugged. "I'll allow it to stay if you can control it, but you'll have to deal with the others on your own." He turned away to head into some sort of building behind the group, an abandoned fortress it seemed. I growled, fighting more viciously as the vines gripped my arms and legs, wings struggling to tear me away. Thorns cut into my skin but I didn't care.
Gloxinia himself flew up a little closer, reaching out to run a gentle finger along my cheek. His soft smile made me want to cry, tugging at my heart even though I could see it wasn't the same fairy I loved. This was a traitor.
He shut his eyes and gulped, showing he'd heard my feelings, but only pulled away with a relaxed face and glanced around at the others. I screamed at him, his composure in such a situation sending me over the edge. "What the hell is wrong with you? One after another, you're just betraying all of us again and again, aren't you!"
The old fairy king looked back over at me and cocked his head, only replying, "You really should stop struggling. You're only injuring yourself more trying to fight the thorns."
"Oh don't act like you care!" I spat. "You're a coward just like the rest of these monsters."
"Save it. Heard it all before, Pixie," called the female demon from earlier. I looked over to see her utterly bored-looking, nearly naked, and lying across the lap of a comrade silently staring in the distance. Everyone here was so calm, so unaffected. It enraged me.
"Call me a pixie when this bastard takes off the vines and see what happens."
The demon's head popped up to glare at me with a raised eyebrow, but Gloxinia flew in between us. "Derieri, I really don't care to fight just now. Last night's battle was enough for me."
"Keep your little girlfriend under control and I won't start one."
I started to bite back at that, but Gloxinia waved a hand and a vine wrapped around my face, effectively gagging me. Drole was sitting nearby, the dark fog and strange forest around us shadowing his giant form. His heart was the only one besides Gloxinia's that didn't just read boredom--he felt confused, and a little sad. The giant king wouldn't look at me.
"Drole, I'm going to take her out for a bit. Meet us in an hour?" Gloxinia said, turning to the giant. there was a solemn nod in response and without further ado, Gloxinia beckoned with a hand, the vines easily carrying me to follow his lightning-fast wings.
I hated my own thoughts. He was so beautiful, so serene, so elegant. It made my heart burn to think of, watching his huge wings flying just ahead of me. The only difference now was the life, the playfulness he once had was buried beneath a dark, sadistic cover. Whatever happened three thousand years ago clearly was not good, but I still couldn't bring myself to forgive him for leaving us. I thought about Gerheade, and how, when we'd just seen her last in the Fairy King's Forest, she'd told me in private she'd had a vision of her brother. She would be damaged beyond belief to see what he became.
Gloxinia suddenly halted mid-air. The muscles of his back and arms were clenching, and his shoulders were shaking. Slowly he turned to face me, the vines gently creeping away from my face, and I saw tears pouring from his eyes. There was a pained grimace stretched across Gloxinia's face, and his fists were clenched.
"She- She's alive?" he gasped. He'd been reading my thoughts.
My eyes widened. "You didn't know?"
Gloxinia pinched his eyes shut and ducked his head away, trying so hard to suppress his sobs. His voice was soft, shaky and barely audible. "Wh-What have I done, what have I done?"
"Why are you acting like this? You've known what you did," I accused, but my words weren't confident, because I could feel the waves of crushing pain coming from his heart. Gloxinia was in agony, grief and confusion and regret pouring out from him and nearly making me cry myself.
The vines dissipated, just as Gloxinia shot away in the direction we'd been going for miles. I could still feel the pain, and a strangled yell echoed back to me that yanked my body back into action. My wings propelled me, not nearly as fast as the old king was, but I had hoped he would stop soon and I could catch him. I didn't know why I was even following him; logic screamed for me to run away, but my heart spurred me towards Gloxinia.
I saw him at the mouth of a cave, head tucked between his knees and hands gripping his hair viciously. With careful steps, I landed nearby and padded up to him. I didn't really know what I could do, I was so astonished that he was this affected by anything and that it wasn't a facade.
"Gloxinia, I...I'm sorry."
"Y/n," he choked, slowly lifting his head to look at me. "Y/n, what happened? Tell me what happened that day."
I gingerly fluttered closer to him, sitting on my knees in front of Gloxinia's curtain of red hair. "You and Drole left to help in the fight, and I never saw you again. When Rou and his men attacked, Gerheade sent me to get help because I was the fastest. She wouldn't run with me, she wanted to defend the others. It felt like I searched for hours before I felt a surge of Basquias's power and heard you scream. When I got there you were gone. I managed to heal Gerheade's wounds but we couldn't find you or Drole. Even Elizabeth and Meliodas were gone."
A cracking sob shook Gloxinia's frame and he threw his face into his hands. "I- I can't believe myself, I'm such a fool! I- I'm a coward, I couldn't even-"
My arms, with a mind of their own, reached forward and slipped around the other fairy's torso. He tensed, pulling me closer to him between his knees and burying his head against my neck. I lifted a hand up to tangle in his long hair at the base of his neck, something I'd done to comfort Gloxinia millennia ago, back when we were still happy lovers. His breathing started to settle, the tears sliding down my bare shoulder lessening.
"You didn't know, Gloxinia," I whispered. "We thought you and Drole were killed. It took me hundreds of years to even find Meliodas alive again and learn of his curse."
"I was so scared," he rasped. "I was too afraid to see if my sister was dead, too afraid to find your body back where I left you. If you were wounded, I- Oh, Gods, your wounds Y/n!"
Gloxinia pulled back to hold me at arm's length, looking over my body at the many puncture wounds from Basquias. "Rhododendron, let me heal you-" "Gloxinia I can heal myself, I just didn't think to-" "No, please, it's my fault, let me fix it."
The discussion felt almost normal between us, like after every battle we'd fought together. The quick touches all over the other to check for injury, the doting eyes, the worried voices and light reassurances started to take me back for a moment. His hand had come up to cup my face, eyes trailing over the many small wounds. I really could have healed myself--I had definitely honed my magic power well after all these years--but I could tell that Gloxinia would be upset if I didn't let him fix the damage he did. So, I stopped protesting and let him summon Basquias's Moon Rose, the droplet healing my body and the kiss he pressed to my forehead healing my heart. I settled happily back against him, pulling Gloxinia into an embrace and still sitting between his knees.
After a moment, I could hear a whisper from his heart--a sense of fear. "What if she can't forgive me? What if she doesn't still love me?" It hurt me to hear that, his face seeming to hide further in my neck. A ragged sigh escaped my lips, and I lifted him up by his cheek to look into his eyes. They were dark, and the faint smell of ginger drifted all around me. It brought up so many old feelings, so many memories of being in his arms millennia ago. I could see him trying to read my expression, clearly hearing the things my heart was practically screaming to me. I hoped he could hear how much I did love him, despite how much pain I'd been in because of him. In response, the fairy pressed soft lips to my forehead and drew a shaky breath.
"I know I can't ask you to forgive me," Gloxinia started. His hands settled in the small of my back, holding me close to him. "But I'm sorry. I know I should've tried to find you, and I shouldn't have let what happened with Gerheade shadow over me like I did. I just hope that, maybe, you'll know why things happened how they did, and if you don't want me in your life I'll understand--"
"Gloxinia," I whispered, barely audible as I'd started crying. I threw my arms around his neck and tucked my face into his collarbone, grasping as tightly as I could in desperation to be close again. "Gloxinia I missed you more than you could ever imagine. I love you, we couldn't--I couldn't bear to see you with the Commandments. I didn't even know you were alive."
"I'm going to leave them."
My head shot back up to look at him. "What?"
The first fairy king pulled one arm back to lace his fingers with mine, bringing it up to brush my knuckles on his lips. "When I saw you, my little Rhododendron, when I learned you were alive, I knew somehow I'd been misguided. I didn't know what to think then but I couldn't let you be taken from me again, so I stole you away for later. But now I see I have things I need to figure out, and one of them is to leave the Commandments."
"Both of us," a booming voice called. I jumped closer to Gloxinia's chest in fear.
Drole knelt at the mouth of the cave, smiling at me a little. I didn't know how he'd gotten this close without us hearing, but Gloxinia was unaffected by the surprise and just beamed up at his friend.
"Yes, we both are. Drole and I sensed a bit of a connection with that new fairy king and the giant girl, and we've had a bit of a plan hatching. But..." Gloxinia trailed off, looking away in thought as he pulled me back into the air with him.
"What is it?" I asked, holding on tightly to his hand. Part of me was afraid if I let go, he'd be gone again.
Gloxinia turned his gaze back to my eyes, voice more solid now. "There is a lot we need to do to make up for our past, and we have to stay here until the right moment. It will be difficult, and if you'll have me, I want my queen by my side again. I never stopped loving you, Y/n. I need you."
My heart took over again, wings guiding me up to capture his lips with mine. Ginger filled my nose, and I kept my fingers laced with both of his hands, not daring to let go. Gloxinia leaned into the kiss, his silky hair tickling my face a little. Three thousand years separated had us locked together for several long moments. When we finally pulled apart I sucked in a deep breath, not realizing I had been holding it back. The warmest smile etched across the ancient fairy king's face, love filling his eyes as he pressed his forehead against mine.
"I will do anything it takes to help you fix this," I said, turning my head still pressed against Gloxinia's to look at Drole. "I won't lose you again. But what about the others? Won't they suspect something of me?"
"Perhaps," Drole replied. "Zeldris is under the impression that the Commandments hold unyielding loyalty to him. If you show that you are loyal to Gloxinia and are therefore willing to follow him, he won't challenge it."
"We'll have to make it seem real though," Gloxinia stated, looking at me with a little worry. "I may be...cold, to you, at times. Just understand that I love you, and I have to show Zeldris that nothing has changed. We have to wait for the right time to test the two Sins, and then I'm going to find Gerheade."
"You will also have to watch out for Estarossa. If you let your heart hold hatred in his presence, his Commandment will affect you and you'll be revealed," Drole added. At that, he stood, and Gloxinia flew up to his head level, still grasping my hand.
I gave them a nod, trying my best as we started to travel back to the hideout of the Commandments to swallow the anger I felt at the demons. I know Meliodas can come back. It's only a matter of time, I thought, remembering discussions with the warrior and Lady Merlin the last time this happened. Slowly, I managed to suppress the hatred from Meliodas's death, so that when I saw the Commandments again, I knew only that they would be doomed soon enough and I had my love, my king, by my side again.
Gloxinia had replaced his loving smiles with his typical nonchalant expression, stepping back into the brush outside the old fortress. The other demons had settled themselves either inside or out among the foggy foliage, uncharacteristically relaxed for such violent beings. When we landed, the demon that appeared to have possessed one of the old Grand Masters gave us a questioning gaze, especially to me now unbound and attached to Gloxinia's arm.
"So you've let your pet off its leash, Gloxinia?" the demon Dreyfus asked.
The fairy king didn't so much as glance down at me, shrugging. "As I told Zeldris earlier, I simply had some things to discuss with her. She doesn't need to be bound if she's already loyal to me."
"Pixie didn't seem too loyal to you earlier."
I cringed, but swallowed it back as the two of us turned to Derieri. She was still with the other demon, but now they were leaning over the front deck area of the little abandoned fortress. Gloxinia cocked his head, about to counter her before I responded for myself.
"As much as I would love to see what battling you is like, my actions earlier were from some very...harsh, old misunderstandings. I wasn't aware Gloxinia was alive until I saw him yesterday, so as you might imagine, I needed some clarification."
The gentle squeeze of my hand and Derieri's chuckle told me I'd responded well. "I suppose that's fair. I haven't fought a fairy in a long time. Maybe we can try it out sometime, just for fun."
I was about to respond, but Gloxinia squeezed my hand harder and stepped forward. "I don't think that'll be happening. You can't be breaking all my good toys, Derieri, that's not nice of you."
She rolled her eyes at him, but only chuckled and winked at me when Gloxinia pulled me to fly into the fortress. I thought, for a moment, maybe I'd sort of made a friend. It couldn't be that intolerable to be hiding with the Commandments, could it?
As if fate itself decided to dish me up a plate of its best right then and there, I was guided into a makeshift throne room, and there sat Zeldris. The demon prince had taken up residence on a chair much less grand than the power level I could feel it held, and his brother standing at his side was even worse. That was Estarossa, I knew, both Meliodas's brothers glowering at me with intrigue. Estarossa's face seemed kind, but his power and his heart read sickeningly. He was full of only love, love for his brother and love for his fellow Commandment, and pitying love even for me, who I could tell he saw as a weakling barely deserving to be in their presence. I swallowed hard, and Gloxinia subtly squeezed my hand.
"I see you've tamed this fairy," Zeldris chuckled, resting his head on one hand. "Why have you brought her to me?"
"Well you're the leader of the Ten Commandments," Gloxinia said with a calm smile. "I wanted to show you I was true to my word earlier."
"Is that so? Then all you had to do was have a discussion with this fiery little creature to regain her favor?"
"Considering we hadn't seen each other since before I joined the Commandments, yes, the update greatly improved her mood."
Gloxinia was calm, and cool on the outside as ever, letting his eyes almost lazily drift over at me. I managed to smile back at him calmly and nod, but I could feel the little tremors of fear in his heart. We were under extreme scrutiny, and one slip up meant certain death. The very, very thin silver lining was that I only had to convince them of my love and loyalty to Gloxinia, and that that translated to Zeldris.
Much to my dismay, Estarossa spoke up. "Forgive me for being a little distrusting, but how are we to know this little sprite won't just run off to tell the humans where we're hidden? It wouldn't be the end, but it would certainly be most inconvenient."
Zeldris nodded, leaning forward. "My brother is right. Though I have faith in your loyalty, Gloxinia, I have no reason yet to believe this newcomer. There needs to be incentive for me not to have her killed as a potential liability."
Gloxinia's heart raced at the demon prince's words, but his own reply was smooth. "Of course, Zeldris. She was--"
"I think we should hear from her," Estarossa interrupted, giving me a sickeningly serene expression. The comment made his brother smirk. "Tell us, little pixie. Why should we believe you've changed your attitude so quickly?"
Don't hold hatred. Pity them, Meliodas will be back soon. I sucked in a deep breath to keep my composure and brought my head up to look the demon prince in the eyes, ignoring his scrutinizing brother.
"Lord Zeldris, I do understand your concern. My loyalty lies with Gloxinia, and it has since he was chosen as our first king. I served beside him as a guardian of our land and people, and then as his queen." I paused, bowing my head and clasping my hands in front of me in a sign of respect with my next words, hoping it was enough as fairies did not kneel. "I apologize for my earlier behavior. Love does...strange things to the mind, when we are confused. I thought that I had been tricked, but once my king explained his new ties, I understood. As is my duty and my desire, I am loyal to my King Gloxinia and therefore to your cause that he now follows."
"I see," Zeldris drawled, steepled fingers at his lips. He was scrutinizing me, but I knew that a demon could not read a heart like a fairy could. I could sense he understood, and when I had mentioned that love was the cause of my actions, I had heard a voice in his heart--a woman, very very deep down. So the love card can be played with this one...
Zeldris finally leaned back in his throne and nodded his head. "Very well then, fairy," he conceded, and I felt my lover's heart leap in joy. "Tell me, you say you served as a guardian. Does this mean you were a warrior like Gloxinia?"
I smiled at the demon, a little pleased by his curiosity despite its ulterior motive. "Yes. I wasn't chosen by the Sacred Tree as Gloxinia was, so my magic is not as powerful. I did train, however, to heal and to fight, and have been serving as a protector and right hand under every fairy king since his reign." Deciding at the last moment, I refrained from telling them how proficient I'd become with a dagger in case my magic wasn't usable. I knew it could come in handy, even against them.
"If that's the case, isn't your duty to the current fairy king? Why would you betray these duties and your king for Gloxinia?"
Estarossa still wasn't convinced, but I could feel that he was running out of options to dig at. With that last push, I really played up the theatrics, tucking my head down with a chuckle before smirking back up at the demon.
"Because to Gloxinia, I wasn't just another fairy; I was a queen. I am the first and only to ever be the queen of the fairy clan. The current monarch is lazy and naive, and after what I have seen these last three thousand years among humans, I believe my place is by Gloxinia's side as it always has been. I love him, and he will forever have my loyalty."
"Give it a rest, brother," Zeldris scolded. "It's clear she's attached to him, and we have nothing to fear from an ancient fairy. Both of you are dismissed."
As I bowed my head again, a smirk spread across my lips hidden behind my hair, pleased that my facade worked. Gloxinia pulled me out of the throne room, and the moment we were in the hallway alone he yanked me against him to crash his lips against mine. Slender fingers tangled through my hair and held me with a surprising amount of strength for his stature. The intensity made me whimper softly, and I felt Gloxinia's arm slide around my waist before he slowly pulled away from the kiss, my lips chasing his a moment on instinct.
"You are absolutely the bravest fairy I have ever met," he said huskily, pulling me back outside into the dark fog. I giggled, holding onto his bare torso as we flew a little bit away from the fortress and into the woods around it. Gloxinia started to manipulate the plants and I followed his lead, growing ourselves an expansive, hollow tree hut off the ground. It was easily big enough for both of us, even with our large wingspans, and had grown close enough to where Drole was sleeping as well.
I smiled brightly as I fluttered up to the opening, the thick tree keeping our shelter high above the terrain. Gloxinia followed close behind, growing us a plush carpet of mosses and flowers within the hut while I shut the opening. In a moment, I looked behind me to see the fairy king I cherished bathed in moonlight seeping through the branches, his eyes beaming with love and framed by silken red hair. Gloxinia reached his lean arms out to me, landing on the moss bed and waiting until I curled against him.
Soft lips pressed against my forehead and down to my lips, ginger making my nose tingle. "I love you with everything I am, Gloxinia," I murmured, tucking close into his chest as I felt sleep gripping ahold of me. "I'll do anything I can to help you."
"I love you too, Y/n. I promise you, I'll never leave your side again."
↪request: Okay I got a request. I remember someone requested something like this but you never did it so I was wondering if you could do Gloxinia from sds and Headcanons like what if his s/o got hurt how would he react. Not to hurt though just in battle and unconscious? Please you write him so well! But it’s okay if no than you can ignore me 🤓 - anon
↪notes: I honestly feel like everything I write for Gloxinia is the same. Like, I don’t know if I’m even depicting him correctly but according to you, sweet anon, I do so thank you!
↪warnings/tw: some angst, mentions of blood
Gloxinia
☆ Gloxinia isn’t the type to panic. Over the many, many years in which he trained for his fate, and even after he joined the 10 Commandments, Gloxinia learned first hand the importance of keeping a clear mind set.
☆ He may not have spoken of his ability to remain logical and unmoved by his emotions very often, but it was truly an ability that he prided himself in possessing.
☆ In fact, his cool headedness was something that often came in use when he needed to act as defense. Especially when it came to protecting you.
☆ He never babied you or pretended that you weren’t able to take care of yourself, but seeing as how his magical and physical abilities were often far more powerful than those of your enemies, he typically took charge in protecting those around him.
☆ Especially you.
☆ However, this time was different.
☆ This time, he was foolish enough to let you out of his sight for longer than usual. This battle was like one he had never seen before. His opponents were strong. Very strong.
☆ Strong enough to make him lose track of you.
☆ You once stood by his side, just as you had in every battle you both endured, but now, you were gone. Nowhere to be found.
☆ Never before had he been so grateful for his wings.
☆ He carried himself upward into the darkening sky above him that still raged with the ravenous fireballs, thirsty for blood.
☆ It wasn’t until he had flown so high that the air around him began to thin, forcing his eyes to water and his vision to blur as his chest heaved in desperation for oxygen. That was when he finally found you.
☆ Resting, unconscious, upon a pile of freshly disturbed rubble. Your sword was still clutched within your weakened grip, and your chest sputtered with every shallow breath you took.
☆ He had never moved faster.
☆ Within only seconds, you were wraps within his arms, his wings encasing you as a protective barrier as his worry-filled eyes scanned over your limp form.
☆ You felt heavy in his arms, yet you were still warm. He tried to focus on that fact alone. You were still alive, and even if that was all that motivated him to end this battle now, he was going to ensure that you returned home safely.
☆ Yet, even as he diverged new battle plans and enacted the final supply of his army, he found his focus starting to waver. His logicality that he prided himself in so very much was slowly starting to deteriorate. And all because of you.
☆ He felt his worry for your wellbeing slowly start to gnaw away the little remaining sanity he still held. And he was allowing it to happen.
☆ He would end the battle as soon as possible. Even if that required his people to retreat, you were his primary focus. You always had been, and now, he had let you down.
☆ He would be completely silent from the time he left the battlefield, still carrying your form in his arms, to the time you eventually wake up.
☆ He wouldn’t eat, he wouldn’t even sleep unless his fatigue caused him to doze off for just a few moments.
☆ Gloxinia would experience an internal hell because he’d feel so guilty.
☆ That would be, until he finally got to see you wake back up in his arms. Then, and only then would his racing mind slow to a halting stop, and even his coolheaded habits would leave him just long enough for him to pull you against him and whisper sweet words and promises that he will do better from now on. Much better.
