OMG, omg you guys! (Sing it in the style of the Legally Blonde musical)
I lost 9 pounds so far!!! I lost 5 pounds since last weigh in!!
I think 9 pounds in 2 weeks is just.. Crazy! That's so much! Honestly week one was really hard, I was super hungry all week (even though I was eating 1400-1600 calories a day, dependent on exercise). Week two was much easier. I am getting used to the smaller portions, not craving fast food so much, and getting into a routine with the gym.
I am so proud of myself. But, it's only week 2. I have a long way to go, so I need to keep this up. Don't let myself self-sabatoge. Don't let any injuries or life changes get in my way THIS time. Screw you depression, I need to look HOT for my wedding (which I still don't have a date for lol).
For those of you like, "Um Jess, how did you lose 9 pounds?"
First off, I feel like everyone loses ALOT at first, then it gets harder as time goes on, so don't be discouraged by my numbers everyone is different.
Second of all, I am using Fitbit and Lose It RELIGIOUSLY. I eat how many calories Lose It tells me I can eat. And, based on my level of activity, it adjusts. So if I am more active during the day, I am alotted more calories.
A few caveats: I have a very active job. I am a music teacher and I am on my feet all day! If you have a job at a desk you may not be able to keep up with how many steps I get per day. Second of all, I did a lot of sports growing up and through high school (soccer, tennis, swimming), so I feel like I am going back to how my body is supposed to be when I exercise and get active. If you were never active, then it's going to be harder for you, but not impossible.
I know how to lose weight and be fit. Every time I try, I do really well. I know what to do, I just have to do it. Staying motivated is the hard part!
