Hey there, I hope this isn’t weird sounding but I logged into my tumblr account after not using it since like 2016-2017, and immediately had a brain blast seeing one of your posts. I LOVED your art when I was a teenager, and it was just a very sort of nostalgic/surreal feeling seeing your art again. I honestly kind of hate the way Mikoto is perceived the same way as Kotoko was viewed in T1 l and how likewise Kotoko became viewed the same way as Mikoto was viewed as Mikoto in T1.

Mikoto went from being this "Liar" who wants others to believe he did nothing wrong and who would do anything to get away with what he did to this poor uwu softbpy who did nothing wrong

Meanwhile, Kotoko went from this hero who did the right thing to an "evil bitch" who only serves her own goal (ironically T2 Kotoko made me apreciate her more)

Like, god damn I don't agree with the theory that he is lying about not knowing what he did. It's no wonder some are inclined to think that way because he is now portrayed in such an innocent way, not to mention he acts very similar to how Muu did in T1

The fact that their trials shifts into so many extremes between how they are portrayed and viewed by the fans makes it so painfully obvious that Mikoto is gonna be the one hurting the prisoners this time around especially when you consider how excluded they are from the rest with how they are presented within Milgram (the way they make up the bridge of undercover, the fact that they have their questions separted)

And I hate that. I hate that because that means we'll likely be going to be back at square 1 where Mikoto is gonna be yet again vilalinized because of his actions and likely not forgiven for his last trial and I don't want this. Mikoto and John are characters I find to be extremely tragic and I think they genuinely deserve an innocent verdict.

Shoutout to all the ppl who even though it was not their duty, tried to coach their mentally ill friends until finally the burden got too much for them and had to set boundaries. Shoutout to those who lost friends because of this but are now in a better place emotionally.

And shoutout to the mentally ill friends who stayed and learned that their problems are not more important than anyone else, all of us deserve the same help and understanding their friends gave.
