What texture of food do you prefer? Favorite tastes?
I am actually a really picky eater when it comes to texture. I prefer food smooth than to eat something too crunchy, but I will eat chips and things like that. I hate vegetables, mostly because of the textures. I also think I taste something that is in all green leafy substances, but its not chlorophyll because it goes away when you cook them until they are mushy... I don't think that makes sense, but it does to me. I like sweet over spicy any day of the week. ^_^
So, part of me being a music snob means I travel to see bands I really like. What is something you are so passionate about that you would travel to see? How far would you be willing to go away from home?
I've been to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy before, and that was because it was offered to me. I like the destinations, but some times the travel makes me sick, so I don't like leaving home if I can help it. I've traveled for work, but I do that because there are really cool seminars in places all over the States, and those are really cool. I like learning, so any time I can learn about something that interests me I will pursue it.
Who watches The Watchmen?
Um..... The people? I know where this line is from, but I'm not really in that fandom, and that movie was like an acid trip for me?
Which fictional character do you most strongly identify with? Not one that you admire or love or wish you could be, but when you saw this character, you thought to yourself “Oh man, that’s me.” Why did you think that?
Would you believe Ned? I actually was watching this going, Oh my god he's obsessing over the same things I would in this situation. he thinks the worst is going to happen, when its not, and he feels this sense of righteousness in the world that is not always there. True I don't bake pies and I don't have as tragic a back story as Ned does, but I still look at the down side to things, and I have a hard time disrupting my routine for anything.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night? Do you support any sportsball teams?
OMG this is so cute XD No I actually like more individualized sports over team sports. If I were to watch anything team It would be Olympic two person volleyball, because those women are amazing.
Have any unpopular opinions?
I am not a fan of Thorki. I used to be a fan of Frostiron, but have since disregarded the subject. I consider myself a republican, although I hold an utter disgust for most of the people representing my party. I don't think Loki is some poor baby who was under the control of the tesseract when he attacked Earth. Nor that he was afraid of Thanos for any reason. Loki did what he did for his own selfish reasons, and I am surprised it hasn't really bitten him in the ass yet.
What is the earliest memory that you can recall?
Crying in my bedroom down the hall from my parents, so loud that my dad came running and stubbed his toes on a set of Lincoln logs I had left out in a pile on the floor in the hall.
Favorite painting?
Hmmmm...... I'm not a big fan of art but I do like Icarus Falls.
What’s your favorite guilty pleasure food? You know you shouldn’t eat it, but you do, and life’s just so wonderful.
Okay, so the problem with your question is that everything I shouldn't eat makes me sick, so I eat it and as it is going down it is glorious, and then about twenty minutes later I feel like all my decisions in life are horrible and I should not be trusted as a proper adult. But to answer the question Chocolate chip cookie dough Ice cream, or chocolate in general.
What argument/concept (however it may have been presented: book, film, thread post, etc.) has strongly challenged your world-view? How?
This Amazing book called Ishmael. it is about a telepathic gorilla, who is trying to teach a human about the huge lie that will topple the Earth if Humans don't wake up and stop themselves. It exemplifies why we are a part of the universe, and how we have created Religion and Myth to convince ourselves that we are above the Earth instead of one with it. It has changed my view on Religion, so that i think of it not as a doctrine, but a story that should guide us in how not to be instead of how we should act. it is a beautiful work and I recommend it to everyone. I don't think it destroys religion, just offers a little different view of things.
Ten was a heavy question so let’s end this on a lighter note: favorite sweet/candy?
Um.... Starbusts or Rolo's or Snickers. ^_^
So now comes the part where I create questions. 11. okay, here we go.
1) What is the most vivid dream that you remember upon waking?
2) What are three objects you don't go a day without using?
3) Equate your five closest friends to your favorite television or Anime characters. (You don't have to use their real names)
4) Do you prefer silence while studying or noise and distractions?
5) Marvel or DC and why?
6) The song that best exemplifies your life.
7) Three things you wish you could learn how to do, and why you haven't learned them yet.
8) Your biggest personal accomplishment, and why it is so important to you.
9) Describe your favorite picture without posting it. Bonus points if you are in it, and you describe yourself positively.
10) Quote the book to your immediate right. (if there isn't a book there, the one to the farthest right on the second shelf of your book collection.)
11) Your top five favorite ice cream flavors in order of "if you buy me I will love you long time."
((Okay, so I'm not sure why, but Tumblr is being a but and not letting me see all of my notes, and it isn't showing me all of the reblogs for my threads. So If you have responded, and I didn't answer you, please e-mail me the link so that I can find it. Tumblr, why must you do these things to me?!))
Today at work, I saw a guy that looked exactly like Sir Ian Mckellen and I freaked out and did a double take and he just gave me a weird loons so until he left the restaurant I just stood in the background and stared at his face like 'omg gandolf, have you finally come to win over my hobbitness and take me on one of your adventures!?'
I'm going to give all my closest friends titles based on their personalities:
Rachel: The Mother
In my group of friends, the attachment to my sister is ridiculous. Obviously, not in a bad way. She takes care of everyone, drives us around if no one else can, buys us food if we can't, and keeps us all in line. She has rules, is strict about them, but is also lenient in letting us just be kids and have fun. Completely loving and realistically logical, my sister would make the perfect mother because she's a mother to all of us.
Cassie: The Societal Issues Magnet
Everything happens to Cassie, especially things talked about in society on a large scale. Trying to get by with a low salary because her only option is to work at McDonald's. Pregnant only being 19 years old without her own apartment and the father is in the same predicament as her and lives 40 minutes away. Moved out of her mom's house because of mistreatment and annoyance with being controlled, but lives with friends instead until she can get her own place. And at her friends house (which is my house), she deals with drama going from weight loss all the way up to sexual orientation. Everything society talks about on a regular basis happens in her life and yet she always has a positive and cheery attitude towards the world and loves to just live her life. We all adore her for that.
Dan: The Bad Influence
This doesn't mean Dan is a bad person, he's far from it. To be honest, he's one of the best people I know. He's realistic, smart, and very aware of the "real world". But, if you want to do something rebellious and get away with it, Dan is the best person to go to. He doesn't exactly encourage it unless you're completely all for it anyway. He has a "fuck it" attitude and thinks that if you want to do something stupid that might have consequences if you're not careful, he'll help you be careful about it but also calls you an idiot. He's also completely insane, which makes him awesome to be around.
Leah: The Worrier
Leah worries about everything. Constantly. She worries about opinions, other people, their actions and consequences, herself, and her future. And it's not a silent worrying, she makes it very obvious just by asking the same thing over and over again to make sure the answer is still "I'm fine" or "Great!" or "Leah you look beautiful, stop worrying about it". It's never for attention, either, she's just always genuinely worried. Yesterday when we went to Cedar Point, her and her boyfriend asked me at least 5 times each if I was having a good time. Just to make sure they didn't ruin my birthday, which isn't for another few weeks. She's adorable and everyone loves her, but we also feel bad for the fact that she always worries about everything. We call her "Mom", too.
Joey: The Comedy Relief
If you need a laugh, Joe is the person you need to see. He's hilarious and is always doing something crazy or stupid. Of course, too high of a dose of his personality makes you want to pull your hair out, but he also knows when enough is enough. He's a crowd-pleaser and cares so much about other people's opinions and I think that's why he always acts so funny. What's not to love about someone when they're always making you piss yourself laughing? But, like with all comedy relief characters, there's a deeper side to him that's also sad and feeling like no matter what, he can never measure up or be good enough. Kind of like Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender. But we all love him because of his crazy side and his mellow side, and it's always a pleasure to help out someone who does so much for you.
Austin: The Lunatic
There is literally no better word to describe Austin. Calm one second, the next he could be running around in a circle screaming and then running face first into a wall...or faceplanting on the ground. For no reason at all. He's one of those extremely impulsive people who doesn't really listen to "that little voice in your head" telling you, "Hm, that would be funny, but maybe you shouldn't run face first into that pillar. We are in the middle of the Mall." He gets an idea and he just does it without a second thought. Which makes him act like a lunatic. But when he's not being absolutely insane, he's actually really quiet and mellow. No one, not even his closest friends, know that much about Austin because he keeps so much to himself. Most people like to talk about something if they're having an issue, like letting the words out is relieving of pressure inside and just makes you feel better. Austin doesn't. He keeps EVERYTHING to himself either by walking away silently or acting like a lunatic. But that just makes him intriguing and everyone who knows Austin as well as he'll let you absolutely adores him. We all feel like his parents! Well, at least I do, hahah.
Donny: The Risk Taker
Honestly, I'm not even sure this describes Donny all that well, but it's the closest I can get since there really aren't words for him. There are certain things that Donny can't do because he has a medical problem. Things that doctors tell him specifically, "DON'T DO THIS OR YOU'LL END UP IN THE HOSPITAL AND/OR DEAD." But, he does them anyway because it's FUN. He scares me to death sometimes because I'm sitting here trying to keep him alive while he, frankly, couldn't care less. And if he has a fear, he tries to fight it and learn more about it rather than run away from it. There's a lot that he has to deal with and many people might say he's just being an idiot, but I think it's just his best way to cope and I think he's a strong person for handling everything so well and making the most out of the time that he has with his friends. When Donny's around, there is hardly ever a dull moment and we all think he's fantastic.
Tally: The Sob Story
That sounds like a mean title to dub one of my best friends, but that's not my intention. Tally really is a big, sad story. Having everything in health problems, family problems, and friend problems, it's hard for her to keep out the drama and to just live her life. She's such a sweetheart and it's hard to see all the trouble she has to go through. But, she didn't just get this title because things happen to her. It's because she talks about all of it constantly. If her health is bad or she's not feeling all that well, its a guarantee that she will tell you every single little detail. If she got in a fight with her mom or her grandpa, she'll tell you. If she misses her niece and her sister, she'll tell you and if we go to Walmart for food, she will stop by the little baby clothes to pick something out for the lovely little lady. She has a huge heart and when something is on her mind, she can never forget it, especially since she repeats it to everyone over and over. I mean, when she says the same thing a lot, it gets kind of boring to hear the same story so much, but I actually admire her for not getting tired of telling it. Tally is an open book, and I love that about her because that way I always know if something is wrong and how I can help her out with it.
Micayah: The Drama-Bomb
Micayah is my very best friend. Ever since I moved to this horrible town, she's always been my rock. She's also the John Watson to my Sherlock Holmes, so you can go ahead and place our friendship to that (minus the Johnlock, it's not like that). Which means that I know her well enough to say this knowing that it will offend her and that I honestly won't care when she freaks out about it. As with everything! Micayah is the MOST dramatic person I know. Everything is a problem to her. If I don't like driving on a specific street during the winter, she gets offended by it. She always is worrying about family and money and talks about it and screams and cries and is the most emotional person I have ever met in my entire life. It's ridiculously easy to upset her and every single little thing is blown up into a huge problem. Luckily, her drama barely ever involves anyone except her and me, which makes it easier to solve. And like the awesome friend that I am, I'm always there to pull her back into reality and tell her to calm the fuck down before she pops a vein. I absolutely adore Micayah, of course, and would do anything for her. It's just the things I can't avoid, I don't worry about. Like offending her on a regular basis (8
Friends that I left out because I couldn't think of anything: Andy, Brandon, Alina, and Anna. Anyone I didn't list otherwise isn't my friend or they're not a close friend of mine.
The god of mischief heard the patter of feet down the hallway long before the thirty-eight pounds of five year old child came rocketing into the bed on his stomach. This helped him catch the child instead of being horribly awoken by a punch to the gut feeling, as thirty-eight pounds was nothing to sneeze at.
"Papa, I wanna go to the park!" Rune exclaimed, as his father lifted him off the bed and held him suspended in mid air with his arms. The little boy wiggled immensely, his reddish brown curls bobbing about his head. Loki gently lowered the little one until he could kiss the boy on the head before sitting up.
"And what does your mother think of this?" He asked, looking over to the side of the bed where Sigyn obviously wasn't.
"Momma is in the kitchen making eggs." Rune informed him, and Loki tried to suppress a smile as he turned stern.
"You know it unwise to rouse me before breakfast is fully cooked, do you not?" He asked, fixing his son with a level stare. Rune merely giggled lightly at this."Perhaps I shall have to give you consequences for such things... starting with this!" He caught the little one before the boy could dive off the bed, lifting him over his shoulder like a sack and getting up. The action was met with many screams, but they were merry and fine. Rune quickly began moving about, climbing around on his father's shoulders and somehow situating himself with his legs on either side of Loki's neck. How the boy could move in such a way amazed Loki who had seen more than amazing sights in his time, but he didn't bother with it much; it was a boy thing to move a great deal.
"Shall we go help your mother?" Loki asked, and Rune hummed in affirmative.
