Happy Friday!
Pressing question I've thought about lately:
When observing the entitlement Zionists have over the land of Israel being promised to them, can you imagine what the response would be if that same entitlement was expressed by chattel slave descendants over their 40 acres of land, which actually was entitled to them by the government, and not some easily misinterpretable religious text?
or if haiti acted even a tenth as self righteous about the money france stole from them?
Depending upon their original work’s genre + if they’re trying to sell work they might’ve deleted them because of the stigma of fanfic, and getting worried it’s be traced back to them and they’d lose deals. The stigma is starting to go away, but for instance if you work in horror there’s a very vocal very angry anti-fanfic contingent, and while regular science fiction/fantasy is getting more open to it, I *really* don’t blame someone trying to break in being jumpy about it.
ahhh very true!! the original project that i saw was a webcomic but that by no means rules out what you very rightly point out, and honestly i really don't know anything about what happened, just speculating based on a couple other cases. i really hope that it is bc they're getting published!!!
hehe the main reason everyone wants a yoongi pov chapter because it will fr make us feel .. safe? like we Know he’s in love but if we read all his mushy gushy thoughts and all, they’ll just CONFIRM it 🤔 -🫧
Awhhhh bubbles😭 I can see that! We normally don’t know what the other person is thinking in a pairing so insight and knowing eases us.
what if instead of five ending up being the baddie there’s just a new character that’s people end up thinking is just as fun and cool as five and fans obsess over this new character instead? maybe that’s what aidan meant when he said ‘maybe you lot won’t like five anymore after s3’
hm yes maybe that’s what he meant. I can only hope 😑
Aidan is jealous of Christopher
You're right though anon, that's a possibility! He really could have meant it that way and we're all freaking out because of the theories and strong possibility that Five might become a villain in S3 or betray his family. I believe he meant that Five is going to do something that will no longer make people like him, but who knows. We still don't know if Aidan actually said that too. We can only hope, anon 😕
To the anon asking about cat, wolf, and horse girls: these types aren't universal. Maybe they've gone global because of the Internet, but "horse girl" especially connotes something Anglophone and middle class (even affluent, if the girl owns a horse or takes riding lessons). There were also horse books in the Anglosphere these girls used to read. I don't want to generalize, but it wasn't part of my non-First World, working-class childhood either, so don't feel bad about not knowing.
Ah, yes, this is a very good explanation and reasoning. I do believe is strongly culturally specific. Which makes me wonder if there is another animal equivalent of "horse girl" in non Anglo-Saxon cultures...
I had a friend who told me this and I thought it was sound advice to share: if you’re taking any OTC medicine to help with the side effects, double check that it’s safe to take!
