DS9 mini-arcs. oh, how very fond i am of you.
Goran'Agar
He is the first Jem'Hadar who lives without the drug ketracel-white and wants to help other Jem'Hadar to be able to live without it, too. He isn't successful, though.

For the DS9 Rarepair Ficlet Game:
💉 Julian Bashir/Goran'agar
Happy Holidays, my friend!
sleeping with the enemy
[~300 words, rated M]
Julian pressed back against the scaled body behind him, panting hard following his release. Goran’Agar’s hand moved up to Julian’s stomach, but his arms stayed wrapped around him and his breathing was just as heavy.
“Shit,” Julian laughed. “What am I going to tell Miles?”
Both of them felt sticky in the hot, humid air that seemed typical of this planet. But Julian felt content, grounded by the ebb and flow of the sensation of geometric textures against the skin of his back as Goran’Agar breathed in and out. His lover’s pointed scales were a bit sharper than he’d always imagined Garak’s might be… but that was neither here nor there.
“I do not understand. You’re his superior officer,” Goran’Agar stated matter-of-factly. “And you said that sex isn’t shameful or forbidden to your kind, not the way it is for us. Why do you need to justify this to him at all?”
Julian rolled over in his arms to face him.
“Well, yes, that’s all true, it’s just that… He’s my friend and he’s very protective of me and he doesn’t really trust you. He already thinks me mad for even helping you with the cure for your people’s addiction to the white, let alone…” Julian flicked his eyes over their entwined bodies, with a lopsided grin.
“He’s not wrong.” Julian threw him a sharp look, but he continued. “You are a little mad, to actually care about us—me. We are your enemies.”
Julian rolled his eyes.
“The way I see it, the Founders are our shared enemies, you and I.” He tilted Goran’Agar’s face to a better angle for kissing. “But I’m going to figure it all out. I’ll save your people, I promise. And I’ll figure out how to tell Miles about us.”

It's been several hours since the original slew of posts about it but like. Bashir and Goran'agar both being genetically engineered but still having something Wrong with them. Goran'agar's neverending hope for the Jem'Hadar. Bashir's willingness to give into that hope. The desperation from Goran'agar to save his people and the desperation from Bashir for recognition. Have I mentioned the fact that this is pre-Doctor Bashir I Presume and Julian Bashir, Augment, is searching for recognition that the genetically engineered aren't all evil and have a chance for redemption. Like they wouldn't fuck at least once
'I've told them we have enough white to last twenty-seven days. That is a lie.' - goran'agar
'There's only enough to last five days. You have that long, Doctor. After that, they will die, but not before they kill me for betraying them and you for not saving them.' - goran'agar [to bashir]
