I know that I’m years behind watching through Game of Thrones for the first time, but DAMN. Battle of the Bastards has been one masterpiece of an episode, speaking as a fan of the series. I’m only at beginning of the first novel. From Daenerys’ triumphant return to Meereen, Yara and Theon pledging their fleet to her, the titular battle sequence, and Ramsay getting a much deserved comeuppance. It was tragic, unnerving, and ultimately rewarding for the viewers. The show definitely has come a long way in terms of budget and scale. RIP to all the good characters lost in this episode. Thank the Seven, the Starks are finally home.
Also: Davos finding the remains of Shireen’s sacrificial pyre. I can’t 😢😫😭
