reading those fun illuminated poems you’ve shared i have to say: i think the correct translation isn’t ‘side hole’ but ‘little side cave’, unless the meaning of the word ‘höhle‘ has really changed that much over time. i’m sure about the diminutive though. also it should be ‘my noble little soul’, which is also cuter.
