Livvy-1000/10 Livvy you can’t just die the way you did and expect me to be okay that is a criminal offence

Dru- 4/10 I love dru but i don’t think she’s committed any illegal stuff yet but i wouldn’t put it past her, and that’ll change in twp.

Tavvy-3/10- has he committed any crimes other than being precious?

Mark-8/10 I don’t remember what crimes you committed other then getting Kieran out the fae realm, and whatever he did in the wild hunt- BUT great job dude no notes!

Helen-6/10 other then hiding the fact Magnus was a cult leader back in the day and being half fae girl did nothing wrong shadowhunters are just racist fucks.

if you think Will Herondale is most insufferable and intolerable in TID, excuse my fucking French, but you’re wrong. yes he is insufferable in TID but it’s nothing compared to TLH. that narcissistic bastard has to make everything about him still. also, he’s a shit father. Will still jokes about hurting Tatiana prior to TID, he calls on Jem all the time which isn’t as drastic but remember when Jem was going to marry Tessa but they thought Jem died so wessa immediately got together?????

WE DONT EVEN GET TO SEE GABRIEL AND CECILYS REACTION TO THEIR SON DYING!!! Christopher dies and it’s like he never fucking existed. also how can Tessa and Will not see how different their son is?????? he is getting mind warped and sexually assaulted and they don’t even see it??????? it’s been said that as soon as Grace put that bracelet on James, James was lost. it’s as if he shut down completely. wouldn’t his parents see that James isn’t being James???? literally the merry thieves (mainly Matthew) sees and feels it. they are the worst fucking parents.

I’ll say Will is terrible in TID but it’s a picnic when you compare it to TLH. CC tries to represent Will as this loving father and husband but he’s still the same motherfucker who treated everyone like shit in TID and expected everyone to forgive him and move on. I think the fuck not. Will doesn’t have any development. there’s no growth. it needs to be said that he only gets worse

i really really really hope we wrapped up the james/jace gracelet discourse for good like please some of you were so close to saying insensitive shit about survivors just to uplift jace and that’s just not it. please move on to a different hypothetical i’m begging you there are so many good things you can say and debate about jace’s character without dragging james’s trauma into it 😭

ok I really need to clear this. I already made a hundreds of apologies but here's the official one I guess? James Herondale is a character that I love just like every other character (well not Zara Dearborn and Valentine but ok) and yes I love ones more than others but I'm definitely not a James Herondale hater. The post about the bracelet thing was not an anti James post and I'm sorry that people got it that way, also cause I understood how it looked from outside (it was funny in my head but I put it into bad words and it looked like it was an anti James post seriously I didn't even know there were James haters) so I'm really really sorry. I hope you can understand and at least stop hating cause this is one of the most pacific fandom (except for our adorable rage cause of twp updates lack) and I don't want to be the one having arguments when I'm not even against you, I'm literally by your side I love James-

Late night thoughts about James Herondale

I think the reason so many people were upset about James deciding to with hold the information about the gracelet despite it being understandable as to why he wouldn’t want to tell everyone about any abuse he suffered after he just came to terms with how he was manipulated himself and considering he was in Victorian times his dislike of being pitied could realisticlly come from the world view of the time that a man shouldn’t be week and he shouldn’t have been able to be manipulated(which isn’t true but he could believe it) is because while it is realistic for this to happen because we never get any hints of characterization similar to this is previous books. He doesn’t show any sign of trying to avoid talking about things that trouble him or of him not liking the idea of being pitied. So it feels like a personality trait coming out of left field for us as readers. It also doesn’t help that this refusal to talk about the gracelet is almost solely used as a point of conflict with his relationship with Cordelia, leading to the avoidance feeling like an excuse to not get them together. If him not talking about the Grace situation with others had caused bigger conflict with other characters or we had gotten hints of him not wanting to be pitied in a previous book then I don’t think this plot line would’ve been taken so poorly.
