I don't know if this trope for bad guys ("charmingly quirky, eccentric, somewhat paternalistic leader beloved by many who is actually an antagonistic figure hiding dark secrets and diabolical schemes") has a name for it, but I gotta say it's quite fun whenever I see it.
Ah, it feels good to yell at him again. Even if he’s only secondhand in this statement.
Okay we have two previous statements connected. Actually we have a lot but we have two IMMEDIATE connections here. MAGs 21 and 46. It’s a direct continuation of Michael Crew, the guy who was fighting with that other guy. And he smelled like Ozone. The other connection is far less direct. Sims, like myself, makes a connection with the heights, air, and vertigo with the fate of Robert Kelly, doomed to eternally fall.
Hmm. Interesting note here. MAG 46 goes on completely normal, but in both MAG 75 and 21, Sims gets cut off by someone else’s interrupting. Both times, when he mentions things involving the Fairchilds. Probably nothing.
Also apparently Crew was the same guy from Bone Turners Tale? I thought that was the guy from MAG 49.
Jared hopworth? Wait.
Interesting. So the book, the Boneturner’s Tale was donated to the library BY Michael Crew, and would later go on to influence and corrupt Jared Hopworth. But why would someone as obsessed with Leitner’s as Crew return one? According to his description in MAG 46, he wa always looking for extremely old books, implying he’s looking for Leitners not yet discovered. So strange.
Ignoring all the lore, what an asshole this brother is. Real jerk. I get that your brother is a slob, fucking talk it out with him instead of trying to scare him. Childish. That’s no way to live, and now he’s not.
I’ll give this episode a 7 slippery ladders out of 10 moments caught smoking weed, would send almost 400 text messages again.
Statement ends.
Supplemental rev—wait what do you MEAN there’s no supplemental? What the fuck Basira?!? Well, she’s not a cop anymore so that means i can’t stay mad at her. It also helps that she got all the Gertrude Tapes. Great job Basira! Sucks that cops are doing cop shit, only person to blame for being so surprised is yourself tbh. Why she didn’t suspect shit after the entire debacle that was Section 31 is beyond me.
Batman: The Animated Series - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Grant Walker
The famous entertainment mogul, Grant Walker, made his fortune with a series of family-friendly amusement parks. All Walker wanted, it seemed, was to make people happy. As he grew older, however, Walker became increasingly megalomaniacal and obsessed over the idea of making the whole world as clean, orderly and idyllic as one of his theme parks.
The robotics expert Karl Rossum had worked for Walker early in his career and Walker utilized Rossum’s designs to build a small army of robots. These robots built ‘Oceania,’ a secluded community that adhered to Walker’s notions of a utopia.
As his health began to fail, Walker became more desperate in his commitment to his twisted dream. He used his robots to free the villainous Mister Freeze from Arkham Asylum. Walker had obtained Mr. Freeze’s wife’s body still frozen in cryogenic stasis. He used her as leverage to force Mr. Freeze into doing his bidding.
Walker demanded that Freeze replicate the accident that had transformed him, believing that become like Freeze would bestow him immortality. He also had Freeze created a giant version of his freeze gun. Walker planned to use the massive ice cannon to encase the entire world in frost, leaving Oceania the last bastion of civilization and the foundation of the next era of mankind.
Mr. Freeze was forced to do Walker’s bidding and he replicated the process that changed him. Freeze transformed the aged tycoon into a being like himself… ageless, but unable to survive outside of sub-zero temperatures. Walker was then outfitted with a cyro-suit similar to that worn by Mr. Freeze.
Batman and Robin had tracked Freeze down to Oceania. They were captured by Freeze and Walker, yet Batman was able to appeal to Freeze’s better nature. He convinced Freeze that his cherished wife, Nora, would never love a man whole would allow the whole world to be frozen.
Freeze turned on Walker. The ice cannon malfunctioned and caused a chain reaction that sunk Oceania. Mr. Freeze escaped with his wife’s body whereas Walker became trapped within an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the ocean.
Actor Daniel O’Herlihy provided the voice for Walt Disney Grant Walker, with the villain appearing in the fifteenth episode of the second season of Batman: The Animated Series, ‘Deep Freeze.’
Alena Sanderson and Grant Walker after discovering that Alena's sister sacrificed her to the Buried and the Dark, and Grant's brother tricked him, an acrophobe, into going to one of the tallest buildings in France only to be consumed by the Vast:
HNNNNNNNNNNNNN I love Grant and Gig Walker. Babies. Innocent. really vibing in their fall aesthetics. with no idea how much suffering is coming their way
Grant is 15, on the swim team for his high school, which puts him slightly behind his twin sister in ninja training due to time constraints. He considers himself to be pretty smart and quick thinking, and can keep a cool head in most kinds of emergency. Much to his sister’s despair, he’s taller than her by a few inches. When he’s not training, he’s probably hanging out with his older cousin Enver, either causing a little bit of trouble, working a shift at Chen’s Noodles in exchange for a free meal, or playing video games.
Gigi is Grant’s twin sister (older twin by nearly ten minutes, as she often bragged about growing up. She’s the social media butterfly, often making ClikClaks and blogging in her free time. She thinks she’s ready to start following on patrols of the city, which creates a fairly consistent point of contention between her and her parents. Gigi knows she’s ready though, and is ready to prove it. And maybe tell Ruka that she has a huge crush on her. One thing at a time.
I’m so out of practice drawing this was so much work and is so sloppy but i wanted them to be out of the brain and on paper.
