Hi there! I'm sorry if you've already been asked this, or posted about it, but I figured I would ask anyway if that's alright. I was just reading your post about the Sides having different animals, and I love the idea that Orange will be a scorpion. Between that and Patton being a frog, it made me think of that story about how the frog helped the scorpion cross the water. Is that what you were thinking of when you said he was a scorpion? Or am I just thinking too much into it...
(PS I love reading your stories and posts :D )
Actually I didn't know about this story, so I looked on Wikipedia and here is the synopsis:
A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting, but the scorpion argues that if it did that, they would both drown. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. The frog lets the scorpion climb on its back and then begins to swim. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I couldn't help it. It's in my nature."
And... wow. I didn't expect that, but I like the possible implications for Sanders Sides.
Of course we have to pretend Orange is Wrath and his animal is a scorpion. But that would shed a special light on him and on his relationship with others sides - especially Patton.
The last line would show a sort of resignation, from Orange. He's a destructive side, he knows that and he can't help but be who he is, just like Virgil can't stop being Anxiety. He knows his behaviour could harm others and he knows his behaviour could harm himself. Just like the scorpions drowned, Orange might be affected by the consequences of his own behaviour.
Still, he does it. He acts the same way, even if it's hurtful, because it's his nature.
Again, that reminds me of Virgil A LOT. Virgil can't stop being who he is, even if he's harsh and dark. Even if his behavior ends up hurting Thomas and other sides - like Patton. Being Anxiety is his nature and he can't help it.
So not only this story could give more insight about Orange, but also about his possible relationship with the other sides - and even about potential similarities between him and Virgil. Definitely good food for thoughts.
Bruce's fear, one of his many nightmares...
Batman #62
And that is the thing, if the plot was any good, scarecrow established issues prior, the direction certain and not hundreds of very unrelated unanswered questions raised only the issue before, this would have been VERY GOOD. But tom king destroys potential wherever he sets foot.
Research from MIT scientists finds that repurposing used electric vehicle (EV) batteries to store electricity generated by large scale solar plants holds promising potential. The team claims that even if the batteries have declined to 80% of their original capacity, it could still offer a more viable business case for...
Hopefully at least one good thing will come out of all this: Smutty quarantine fics.
Hot take but it would've been so much more interesting if clara had left instead of died
Anybody else think that Across the Void’s finale was uhhhhhhh weak as fuck

Hey guess who actually wrote something
Okay, so maybe Mondo arguing with Byakuya so often wasn’t out of hate, but at his request so their class didn’t suspect that they were dating.
When they’re alone, they’re not nearly as critical of each other; in fact, they’ll trade compliments often enough for it to become a habit.
Byakuya was one of the first people to learn about Daiya, since Mondo only tells people he trusts. He expected Byakuya to have some kind of comment on it, but he didn’t say anything.
Even when Mondo offers, Byakuya absolutely refuses to ride on his motorcycle. Mondo still asks every time, to the point where it’s become a bit of an inside joke with them.
Even after their class finds out that they’re dating, nothing changes between them. They’d rather not by physically affectionate in public, so their previous arrangement was already perfect.
