Ok I remember rereading the grim tales as a teen just to finish it and speculating who Jr’s dad was(even though Bleedman just forgot about it). I heard somewhere that it was originally supposed to be Timmy Turner but it made no sense to me even when I was a kid reading it and I think the writers that time thought so too.

From what the comic showed us,Mandy wanted her kids to be powerful weapons for her throne. Timmy has no power. He gets the wishes from his fairly odd parents who he’d lose after growing up. I saw speculations about it might be ranging from Danny Fenton to Irwin(which obviously no) to Billy(despite being dead)

But I had a theory about it and I’m surprised no thought of this character.

Nigel Uno

Think about it.

Nigel is someone Mandy knows,unlike Timmy Turner.

Nigel would be a perfect candidate for because of his heritage. Mandy somehow found out about it . He probably was alive(albeit decommissioned) during the time before the destruction of Megaville, so she got with him during that time. If he was decommissioned,he wouldn’t remember her or if he wasn’t,she found another way.

Plus Jr’s human form would make sense,especially with the brown hair and blue eyes. Nigel probably had blue eyes since his parents both have it and both him and Jr have brown hair(though you could argue maybe Jr got it from his maternal grandfather)

However the thing that would debunk this is that Grim clearly has disdain for Jr’s father.

Which would make no sense if the father was Nigel because why would he hate the guy who helped him get his scythe back? Unless Nigel grew up to be evil(which knowing Bleedman,he probably would be) or he tried to hurt Jr and/or Mandy when Jr was a baby

Obviously there’s no point in theorizing since the comic forgot about this idea the moment it was introduced but it’s been eating at me for weeks.

Calling all the Monsters

The halls of the Archadia venue were decorated top to bottom with all kinds of Halloween decor. Spider webs were weaved around the columns, splats of blood were painted across the floor, skeleton statues were propped around the doors, bats and jack'o lanterns hung from the chandelier. Jaune, dressed as James Bond, smiled widely. Miss Goodwitch really had gone all out in organising Ruby's birthday. Though speaking of which, where was she? It had been a couple of hours now and Jaune hadn't seen his girlfriend anywhere. He moved through the dancefloor, hoping he could catch a glimpse of her. But through the crowd of costumed guests, he had no such luck.

Jaune: Aw man.

???: You okay there, Jaune?

Jaune turned around and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his friends from Teams RWBY.

Jaune: Hey guys! Man, am I glad to see some familiar faces.

Yang: It's great seeing you too, Cheeseball. *gives Jaune a big hug*

Jaune: So, any idea where Ruby is?

Yang, Weiss and Blake looked at each other for a moment and then darted their eyes around the room.

Jaune: Oh come on! Why won't anyone tell me?

Weiss: Relax. Look, she's here. She's just... getting ready.

Jaune:

Blake: For her birthday gift, she wanted to perform a special song for you.

Yang: She even asked JNPR if they'd be interested forming a band with her.

Jaune: Huh? What brought this on?

Yang: *headpats Jaune* I wouldn't worry your pretty little head about it.

Just then, Nora emerged from the curtains at the podium.

Nora: Good evening, Arcadia!!! Are you in for a Spooktacular night?

The crowd cheered and roared.

Nora: Glad to hear it! Now, this little musical number is from the absolutely awesome Team JNPR, featuring the birthday girl herself, Ruby Rose!

The crowd applauded loudly, especially Jaune, Yang, Weiss and Blake.

Nora: Get ready, folks, 'cause we're about to knock you dead! Except if you're a zombie. *chuckles* I especially hope you enjoy this, Jaune! Alrighty, give it up for Ruby!

The curtains opened and revealed the members of the band. Pyrrha was on bass, Ren was on electric guitar and Nora was on the drums. However, it was Ruby who was stealing the show. Jaune's nearly popped when he saw that she was dressed as Witchblade and the outfit left little to the imagination.

Nora: 1! 2! 3! Go!!!

Pyrrha: 🎶Calling all the monsters, calling all the monsters. Calling all the, calling all the, calling all the monsters!🎶

Ruby: *sways hips* 🎶Heart thumps and you jump, comin' down with goosebumps! You dare to go there! I'ma, I'ma get you so scared! *points to Jaune* We're wanting to! We're haunting you! We're wanting to! Yeah, yeah!🎶

The crowd started to jump and cheer.

Ruby: 🎶You stayed in too late to be getting afraid! This scene extreme, I-I-I'ma get you so scared! We're wanting to! We're haunting you! We're wanting to!

Suddenly, Ruby jumped from the podium and walked over to Jaune, draping her arm around his shoulder and staring into his eyes. His heart pumped fiercely, and his face was a deep shade of red.

Ruby: 🎶Gonna get your body shakin'! Wishin' you could just awaken! Here we go!🎶

She dragged him to dance floor, earning excited gasps and yells from the rest of the crowd. Jaune was getting really nervous now. But part of him was really enjoying the attention. Ruby moved in closer, grinning devilishly. Instantly, she took his arms and pulled him in for a dance.

Ruby: 🎶Tonight all the monsters gonna dance! We're comin' to get ya! Tonight all the monsters gonna dance! We're comin' to get ya! *touches Jaune's cheek* If you're only dreamin', Why I hear you screamin'? Tonight all the monsters gonna dance! Comin' to get ya!🎶

Ruby cupped Jaune's face and gave him a deep, passionate kiss. Jaune's eyes shut and he melted into it, eagerly to return it. Though her ways of showing love was unconventional, he wouldn't have it any other way. Yes, Jaune was truly a lucky man.
