1980s America. Your muse, female (trans inclusive), is a sex worker. Her personal life is entirely up to you. From a good family but abandoned, following some tragic accident, or coming from something brutal. Regardless, she’s had it rough and she knows her way around the grimy streets she frequents. Maybe she dreams of better and is striving for it; maybe she’s just trying to get through each day without much thought. All details are entirely up to you. In her line of work, she meets my muse - a cisman in his mid 20s, who works as a barman and bouncer/enforcer in the same scene as your muse, sharing glances across a club, driving your muse to meet clients, or lingering in doorways to be muscle in case things get dangerous. Over time they get to know one another - get close. Casual, small conversations before clubs open/after they close, during drives to and fro, and then in small, dingy apartments in the middle of the night. My muse is a secretive sort, who keeps everything buried deep within himself and under lock and key. He’s abrasive and cold most of the time, with a resting face that keeps most people several arms-lengths away, and he is not easygoing - but he does have a gentle heart that he forgot exists, waiting for the right person if they exist, if he’s ever given the possibility. He has a dark past and a dead desire for a better life he doesn’t think he deserves or is ever possible for him.
I just crave two troubled people in rough circumstances finding some kind of safety with one another and growing into something genuine. I want them to clash, to shove each other away and fight and come crawling back because they’re the only people that understand one another. I want angst and drama and grittiness and all the soft moments in between. I listed all the basic info but we can chat more about our writing styles and preferences, and your muse is entirely up to you, however my only specific request is that she is not naive, gentle or submissive and has learned to fend for herself, given the circumstances, and when our muses fight it’s not one-sided with my guy being the devil, but yours also being able to give back just as bad.
