AREPAS!!
I went to Guasaca for the hundredth time with my besite Curtis for his first time. It’s hard to get Curtis to try new things sometimes, but he was up for it. He tried to order a bowl which I then yelled out “NO! YOU PROMISED TO TRY SOMETHING NEW!” Guasaca is a Venezuelan style Chipotle to me. Just swap out burritos for arepas and add some bomb ass toppings. Curtis frequents at Chik-fil-A and Chipotle and gets the same thing at each location. When he asked the lady for a bowl, I immediately knew he was going to get just steak and rice as he would at Chipotle. *sigh* After my outburst, he ordered the arepas (with just steak and rice of course!) But at least he tried something new and I was proud. As for me I loaded up on the good stuff (brown rice, black eye peas, black beans, plantain, onions, salsa and guasaca (similar to guacamole but more chunky!!! 😍). His came with a cilantro sauce which was AMAZING! He enjoyed his meal so I was happy with that. Doesn’t hurt to try something new at all.
I really love Guasaca... #guasaca (at Guasaca Arepa & Salsa Grill - Morrisville/Cary, NC)

Had my first arepa today at Guasaca in Raleigh. Highly recommend everyone to try it. Fresh, delicious, and affordable. The avocado chicken and guasaca are heavenly!
